Heino was currently inside the Alter base, as he had issued an order to the Programmers, to find which items they had in storage were best fit for the number of allies they had gathered.
They had already given out weapons to the high-ranking generals in the empire, he also gave them a communication device so he could get in contact with them from far distance and ask them to move if necessary.
The remaining members of Alter were also getting their weapons, but honestly they seemed to mostly be getting scraps. The main power house of those in Alter were the Deleters and they were all nearly gone.
On top of that there was also the large amount of men that were lost during the Dark Faction extermination. They had some good agents that were out on the field.
The only ones they had at the base were those that had returned from missions and those that were in the Light Faction and spread across the empire.
Everyone hadn’t been caught in the mess. Which was why, only scraps had really been given to the remaining members of Alter.
Still, the scraps and artifacts of Alter were still nothing to be messed with. Allowing even regular people to compete with peak level initial stage warriors, and maybe a few low end mid tier warriors.
Currently, Heino had called three individuals to his office. He had three Programmers in the room wearing their masks each with items being out on display wrapped in cloth.
“You’re really giving this to us?” Kawak asked. “After we failed the task.”
“You did what I asked for you, and I wished to just see that you could give it your all,” Heino replied. “Which is why, I have decided to award you three Light Faction leaders with these three swords. They are some of our most powerful artifacts so you need to use them well, and note at any point and time, I might just take them away.”
Kawak, Cicle and Impress all bowed down as they received their weapons from the Programmers. Just before giving the items, Heino had explained the power of each of the weapons and what they could do.
After hearing those words, the clan felt like these weapons had the power to change the entire status of Pagna. They wondered why such weapons weren’t used for so long.
With them they could have easily eliminated the Dark or Demonic faction, and they were just placed here this entire time.
Regardless they took the weapons, and the thoughts in their head were, if Alter were giving these types of weapons away, just what weapons were they keeping to themselves, and this was the exact thought that Heino wanted them to have.
“I will be sending more artifacts your way, there will be a delivery to each of your clans. I want you to prepare them all for-” Heino stopped talking.
As he could feel a rumble in the ground. Part of the ceiling dust had cracked above and was falling. It didn’t just stop once though as it was continuous.
Then, a red light started to shine in the room, fading in and out in colour. While a small alarm was heard.
“What’s that noise?” Kawak asked. Never having seen such a thing, but it reminded him of the large bells that would be used, when a town or city was under attack or a portal break had occurred.
“We’re under attack.” One of the Programmers said.
“Let’s go and find out what’s happening,” Heino answered as he walked over to the elevator of the building.
The other Light Faction members followed. As Heino went down he had reached the third floor. Where most of the programmers were giving out orders to the rest of the people.
They were frantic as they were moving about and quickly tapping away at their screens.
“Bring up the cameras of the outside, we need to see what this attack looks like,” Heino ordered.
Right after, Red had seemingly appeared out of nowhere right by his side.
“Do you have an idea of what’s happening?” Heino asked.
“Nope,” Red replied shrugging his shoulders. “I can tell you one thing though. Your little magic barrier that’s protecting the base, I don’t think it’s going to last that much longer.”
Heino found that statement to be quite ridiculous. There were a large amount of crystals that were keeping the barrier up. Even a high-level mage, would have to constantly attack the place.
The issue wasn’t the skill of the mage but more so the raw power. For example wind magic, and ice magic, wouldn’t be able to do much damage to a barrier.
Whereas fire magic, and lightning might have more of an effect, but still would need large amounts of magic to do a lot of damage to a magic barrier.
In truth, there was perhaps only one type of magic that could be used.
“That’s impossible, he would have come here, but how, and if he came with a large group, shouldn’t we have seen him?” Heino muttered to himself.
Finally, the cameras on screen were showing. They were pointed to right in front of the base, but eventually it moved up to where the attacks were coming from.
Dark beams of energy were seen shooting out hitting the outside of the barrier effecting the base itself. The beams continued to hit.
“Zoom in!” Heino called out.
Off in the distance, standing in the jungled area, they could see one man in a black flowing blazer, with dark magic coming out from his hands.
“It’s him,” Red confirmed as he saw the camera. “I knew that guy had some screws missing when I saw his memories, but I didn’t think he would be this crazy to attack.”
“This is him, right, the Dark Magus?” Heino asked.
The beam of dark energy shot out hitting the barrier and an announcement was made in the Alter base.
“Barrier is no longer operational.”

When Shay and Raze had arrived at the destination, she was still in shock about the whole thing. She had just been dragged halfway across the continent, and she was in disbelief that they were in front of Alter.
Having come back to this particular place and having failed at her task. She was a little worried about what might just happen. When she thought about it more, she had to remind herself though, she had agreed to be the enemy of Alter.
She needed to get it in her mind that these were the ones that were messing with the Noctis clan. These were the ones that had drove them into the corner and forced her life to be the way it currently was.
The main issue for her, was she felt like she was right next to a truly unhinged person. One that could snap at any moment and be calm the next.
‘Can I really blame him though, I was the same when I saw the people that I lost, and it seemed that person was quite dear to him.’
Looking at Raze she noticed that he was on the floor. He had a piece of chalk in his hand and was drawing something on the ground. She had seen this a few times but wondered why?
“A magic circle, aren’t those used in a particular way of function, What’s the use of drawing one here and this far out?”
They could see the base, around two hundred meters in the distance. She still was questioning what he was planning to do, did he want to scout the place out.
To find out how to attack in the future, or was he planning to attack from this far, still then why the magic circle?
“I’m drawing a teleportation circle, so we can get back to the Demonic Clan, I need it to be ready immediately,” Raze answered, as he continued his work.
He was quite quick at drawing it as well, as he had done it a few times before especially back to the town of Flendon.
“Won’t that be a double edged sword for you though?” Shay asked. “If you teleport back, and they find the teleportation, can’t they restructure it, and teleport themselves right back to your base?”
“Do you really think they will go after us?” Raze asked, it was clear it was a rhetorical question as he continued to draw the magic circle. “First, it’s easier to transport a few individuals, but to transport a large group would be difficult.
“It requires a lot of magic, a lot of preparations and a lot of crystals.”
“And Alter have all of that, there are talented mages, including Heino himself,” Shay replied.
“Right, but it would still take time, and when they finally figure out there will be a few problems. I don’t plan to stay, we will be coming straight back here with everyone for a large attack.
“If they come, then they will be too late, and in the first place there is a large difference between our two groups at the moment. Tell me, as a Deleter do you even know why we are fighting or what our aim is?”
Now that Shay thought about it she didn’t. She was blindly following orders and doing whatever she could to get a chance to go closer to her goal.
Maybe that was the reason why she had never stumbled upon the truth either.
“An item called the Golden Globe,” Raze answered. “Right now it’s in the possession of Alter. If they have the item there is no reason for them to go on the attack.
“It’s always easier to defend, and prepare rather than attack. So there is no reason for them to risk coming after us.”
Finally Raze was done drawing the magic circle. After that he started to step forward and moved towards the edge.
“Wait, what are you doing…are you going to attack now?” Shay asked.
“Just like they attacked us when they didn’t expect it. I will now be doing the same,” Raze answered, as he lifted his hands and started to gather the Dark magic around them.
They didn’t stay in the palm of his hands, instead they were forming two large circles of Dark magic that were continuous swirling around in the air.
Then when Raze was ready, he thrusted both of his hands through the Dark circles. His hands were empowered by Qi, and they had launched the Dark Magic out.
Using the magic this way, was how Raze was able to combine his Qi with his dark magic. A long time ago he had tested his Qi on its own and magic on its own, but combining the two always produced superior results.
The two step shift with the Dark Pulse was the perfect example of this. The issue was it was easier to use such techniques at a closer range.
Something far away, he had to improvise a little for. With this combination the Dark Magic was extremely powerful, it crashed into the outside of the base and a green coloured barrier could be seen like a bubble appearing on the outside.
“A barrier, I expected as much, which is why I wanted to do this first.” Raze waited a moment, before he struck again through his dark magic.
Two large streams of dark magic came shooting out and hit the barrier activating the outside of it again.
“This isn’t going to be good, it’s going to alert everyone in there!” Shay shouted.
But Raze didn’t care. Two large attacks had been hit, and he could guess he was ready with the third one. He powered his hands and struck it with powerful Qi hitting the Dark magic out.
It travelled in the air hitting the barrier, and after a short while the barrier smashed turning into nothing but particles, disintegrating to the floor.
“He destroyed the barrier, he really managed to do it, but they said that thing could never be destroyed,” Shay commented, but she shook her head realizing the situation they were in. “Now, we run?”
“No,” Raze answered. “Now, we fight.”

In the very depths of the Neverfall Clan base, the hurrying of Han as well as Belil was complete, as were the Elders who had lost their lives.
It was due to their sacrifice the Neverfall Clan and the base itself could exist the way it currently did.
Right after there was no time wasted as the Elders wished to have a meeting about the future of the Neverfall clan.
They needed to before they were to head back up and address all of the other clan’s in the Demonic Faction.
The faction had lost a lot in The Behemoth clan and now several of the Demonic clan members being eliminated.
The Neverfall clan was arguably at its weakest, leaving only the Lost Clan. They were sure that confidence in the Demonic Faction was at an all-time low.
“We Elders have discussed, and with aging deciding to step down in the position, Rayna, we are here to ask that the Dark Magus takes position as the head of the Neverfall Clan,” an Elder claimed. “We understand due to his position in the Dark Faction that he might not accept this role. Which is why we believe it might be more appropriate for you to take on the position instead.
“The clans are aware of your position as the Dark Magus’ wife and will believe it will add power to the group.”
Rayna’s jaw was tensing as she heard these words. First of all, her relationship wasn’t as close with Raze as they thought. Did they really think he was the type to care about the position?
Especially when they married in the first place to protect him from Belil who was now buried in the ground.
But that wasn’t the reason why she was angry.
“You are still talking about this, now after everything that has happened?” Rayna asked. “Don’t you understand the position we are in right now? It’s not the time to care about these matters. Belil, my father, he saw the bigger picture in all of this, but none of you can.
“You continue to talk about the next leader of the Neverfall clan, but if we don’t solve this issue, then the Demonic clan and the whole existence of Pagna could be gone.”
The elders looked at each other. Based on the attack, there was something going on. They were used to being attacked by the other factions, even clans within the demonic faction, and they thought it was the same thing.
Losing so many large tragedies like this and hearing Rayna say this, they perhaps should have seen that there was a bigger issue at hand.
Before Rayna was ready to give them an even larger earful, the swooping doors opened up and a particular man dressed in bandages had entered.
“What are you doing in here!” One of the elders shouted. “Even with your status, only members of the Neverfall Clan are allowed to be here.”
“Calm down before you perish from a heart attack,” Lince commented. “I came down here to meet with Belil numerous times. Just because you are aware of me being here now doesn’t mean you can cause a scene. Besides, didn’t you hear what the woman said? There are bigger issues at hand.”
The elders wanted to shout more, but immediately Rayna stared back at them and slammed her spear on the floor. She had enough of these stupid political games.
“There’s an issue that we need to discuss. I’ve received reports from the Lost clan members. There has been a lot of communication between the empire and the Light Faction,” Lince reported.
“Communication? What does that even mean?” Fing asked.
“I won’t be gentle in my phrasing. The empire looks like it’s preparing for some type of war, and I will tell you now the enemy isn’t the Light faction. Based on the attack here, I can only imagine what will happen.”
The elders mumbled among each other, in deep discussion. It was the first time in history since the pact was made that there was this level of movement.
“The Pact, do they not care for it anymore? Won’t the Divine realm act?” Fing asked nervously.
“I have my doubts. If they are moving and together with the Light Faction, I have a feeling Alter is behind this as well. They would be so foolish to not have considered the pact.”
Hearing Lince’s report, Rayna believed it was accurate, but not the enemy had grown much larger in size.
Alter, the Light Faction and the empire, they had to worry about. Things could only work well if they were able to unite.
“Did you report this to Raze?” Rayna asked.
“I guess you haven’t spoken to your brother then?” Lince asked. Just before meeting Rayna, Lince had met Dame at the very top floor learning what had taken place.
“Rayna, Raze has currently gone directly to Alter.”
Her heart began to beat faster. Things were moving along quicker then she thought and they didn’t have a moment to rest.
“Gather all of the demonic clans above. Raze needs as much support as he can. Prepare everyone,” Rayna ordered.
—
A little distance away from the main base of Alter, the barrier protecting the base had just been destroyed. Having caught their attention, Shay believed Raze would now use the magic circle he had made, that was why he had created it wasn’t it?
Instead though, in Raze’s mind, he was just getting started. From his side he grabbed onto the two heads that were slightly invaded in ice.
He then started to use his magic to grow the ice around the two of their heads. He was careful as he made it so the ice created was still visible and the distinctive features could be seen on the two of them.
Right after Raze held each of them in one hand. He started to build up his Qi and right after he hurled both of them through the air.
For a moment dark magic flickers around them and the ice part of it being destroyed but all of it was a perfect calculation.
As it hung in the air the two heads crashed right through the Alter base. No barrier able to protect it anymore.
Inside a shock occurred in one of the rooms as part of the ceiling broke and two objects hit the floor.
There was slight panic, but Heino walked up to the objects on the ground. Staring down he could see a pool of water and on top of it were the heads of the two Deleters.
Heino tensed his hands until his knuckles went white.
“Dark Magus…”

In many organizations, they had prepared for emergency situations. If the building was to catch on fire, how to defend from attacks, and even further.
However, Alter was an organization that had prided itself on its secrecy. The foundation of those working behind the scenes and its place unknown to only those that had truly known it.
The defensive measures they had in place, they felt like could never fall. Once in a while, they might have an ex-member of Alter attack out of anger.
The barrier could be used to protect the outside before a Deleter was called or someone else in the base to deal with them.
That didn’t happen too many times after Scar mainly dealt with those issues in a rather public way.
Which was why, now for the first time ever in Alter history when the barrier had fallen and part of the ceiling had been broken, there was panic among all the staff.
“Can we get the barrier up and working!”
“I think there might be a way right, it’s powered by crystals, we might need a mage to look at things.”
“What about the person outside attacking us, we need to stop them, otherwise they’re going to destroy this entire building.”
Heino, the head of the Alter base, was in the main programmers room where the most condensed number of members currently were.
Even in this panic, no one came up to him to ask what they should do. As Heino was much more of a leader that could only speak when spoken to, rather than ask questions.
Yet, when they did look at him, they saw him staring at the ground, and the two heads on the floor.
“Crap…those heads,” one of the staff said. “This has to be a warning, a threat of some kind.”
Red, who moved next to Heino, looked at the heads on the ground. Even without the system, it was easy for him to recognize who they were.
“So he got them right, Kush, and Garlon, we can assume Shay has been taken out as well then,” Red commented. He was about to say some more, or ask a particular question to Heino, but could see he was not in the state where he could answer.
His eyes, it was clear that he wasn’t present in the room, in this moment right now.
“What are you doing!” Red shouted. “Ignore the barrier, if they can take it down once, they can take it down again. Send people out there to get him. Use the items that we have handed you.
“Don’t panic and get moving!”
His voice had jump-started the Alter base into action. So used to following a certain way and path, when broken, they were just scurrying around, they needed to be given order in what to do.
However, there was one thing Red was relatively sure about. Even with the items, they wouldn’t be able to stop him, there would only be a few that could.
“Heino, do you want me to go out there, or do you want me to send the Light Faction leaders, they should be able to do something?” Red asked, but as expected, there was no answer at all.
The particular head that Heino was staring at, was Garlon’s. When looking at it, memories flashed back into Heino’s mind.
Back on Alterian, a long time ago, before the world was filled with giant skyscrapers. He was a child, running about in a large garden filled with flowers and greenery.
As he ran, he noticed a tall man in front of him, a man that looked just like Garlon.
“It’s time for your studies,” Garlon said.
“Studies, but I’ve only been outside for thirty minutes, and my head hurts just thinking about it,” the young Heino replied.
“Everyone is working hard for the future of Alterian. I know you work hard, and one day all of this effort will pay off, and I will be happy to see that day,” Garlon stated with a smile.
The memories of Heino started to shift. From a child to teenager. As a teenager, Garlon was seen by his side, and in his life.
As he got older, close to a young adult, there was a time when there was blood on Heino’s hands, in the vision he wasn’t the only one, Garlon had blood on his as well.
“I serve you,” Garlon said. “Not the Royal family, I made you that promise long ago.”
Finally, Heino had aged into quite the young man, and he was sitting in a fairly large throne. At this point and time, he was the emperor and once again the man by his side was Garlon and looked like the spitting image that he had in Pagna.
“I have to ask you something important Garlon, and you need to answer sincerely,” Heino said. “If there was a way, I could make it so you could stay by my side forever, is that something that you want?”
There was no hesitation as Garlon answered.
“I have said many times, as long as I can, I will always be by your side, and do as your ask.”
“Good,” Heino answered.
His memories started to fade to black, and as his vision returned the truth had hit him back in the face, as Heino was looking at Garlon’s head separated from its body on the ground.
“I looked into the future, I was overconfident that you would live, and you never broke that promise,” Heino commented. “You really did always stay by my side, but that promise has been broken and it’s partly my fault.”
Heino finally lifted his head, and looked at the screen which showed the Dark Magus staring ahead at the base from a distance.
“The Dark Magus, it’s no wonder you are so hated by the Grand Magus. I’m starting to understand why they resent you so much. You weren’t really an enemy of mine, but just an annoyance in the way. Now though…I will use everything I can to get rid of you, I won’t lose this fight no matter what.”

Raze stayed at his position while Shay somewhat sheepishly was hiding behind the trees. It wasn’t because she was afraid of being hurt, she believed somewhat that they would be heading back any time soon, and she didn’t want to be caught by the Alter cameras any time soon.
Her involvement in the matter, and position, she felt like it would have more effect in the next attack when they least expected it.
What she did notice though, was the ground shaking directly underneath where the base was slightly in front of it. Large rectangular patches of grass were moving until it opened up.
They looked like some type of giant vents but she knew what was soon about to come out of them.
“They finally decided to act,” Shay muttered to herself.
Several groups of Alter had decided to come out. Some of them wearing regular warrior clothing and weapons. There were those that were clearly mages, and then in between looked like regular civilians.
What was noticeable about them all though, was that they had particular items and artifacts on their body, Raze could tell that much.
“Now is it our cue to get out of here!” Shay asked. “I think you delivered the message loud and clear with those heads.”
“Do you think, I’m even close to being done? I need to pay them back, ten times worse than what they did to me!”
Lightning started to gather in Raze’s hand and he extended it out, the magic zapped the ground breaking the floor and sparking hitting several of the people in the area.
One of the men had lifted up an artifact, it looked like a trophy of some sort, and magic from the lightning started to swirl up inside.
“He’s over there, up above, all range attacks strike out!” One of the men shouted.
Magic spells, such as fire balls were being cast, while others used the power of their artifact to shoot out raw energy. As Raze saw it coming his way, he gathered dark magic, and swirled it out above.
It encased the attacks, consuming and destroying nearly all of them like a piece of black sky.
Right after, Raze didn’t let up, as he continued to fire primarily lightning from his hands. Some of the attacks were blocked but a large amount of them had hit their targets.
In one case lightning struck an Alter member’s leg causing it to explode on the spot. The man could no longer move. Those with healing artifacts had come rushing to his side, and when Raze saw this, he aimed carefully.
Dark pulse shooting out of his hand, straight and thin, going right through their head killing the person on the spot.
“What are you doing, we know he’s a mage! He can still attack us from far away,” a member shouted. “We need defensive artifacts up front!”
There was next to no order, and there were many members of Alter that had artifacts that empowered themselves. Were only usable in the weapon they were using at close range.
So half of them were unable to do anything of the sort. However, eventually after many of their bodies were electrocuted and had fallen to the floor no longer showing any signs of life, they had managed to get some of their act together.
As Raze continued his attacks, he saw them deflected, absorbed, or outright no longer working. Raze continued to attack with his magic, and even tried to use his Dark magic.
The artifacts appeared to have even affected that, which showed the power and level of items they were bringing.
“Now can we go back…” Shay said nervously.
“I see you’re worried, these artifacts are strong. It’s blocking my 6 star magic. Sure they’re using many together and I’m just one person so they are bound to have some effect, but I already told you…I’m not here just for a little bit of payback,” Raze claimed. “Stay up here by the magic circle, stay out of sight like you have been doing so they don’t suspect anything is here.”
Right after finishing those words, Raze jumped from his position. He was seen in the air, and while falling down, Raze now started his attack from above.
He fired out Dark magic, and Lightning primarily hitting a large amount of members of Alter. Either killing them outright, or incapacitating their arms and legs.
Fear was starting to strike many of the Alter members as they wondered what it was that they might be able to do to take out this man.
Eventually Raze landed on the floor, and lightning pulsated from his feet. It shocked out with the added power of Qi. It hit the Alter members flinging them back and onto the floor.
Even those that had anticipated or tried to block the attack were hit by the Qi in some way.
Quickly they had gotten to their feet and there was a mix of emotion, between the Alter members. There were possibly a hundred people who had come out of the base.
Around twenty or so of them had already perished from the attacks. They were worried, but some of them now that Raze was there, they could attack with their artifacts.
One placed a large book on the ground, and a fissure was seen opening up towards Raze. He then slammed his foot down, and pushed it back with magic, creating a type of tidal wave of the floor that had consumed and wrapped around the person, until it squeezed the man, and blood could be seen splattering on the outside of the dirt.
Another then rushed at him, getting close enough to use their weapon that lit up. They swung it out, but a sword appeared in Raze’ hand and as he struck at the weapon it had broken in half, then with his other hand he fired a dark pulse making a large hole through their stomach sending them to the ground.
“Is this the powerful enemy, that I’m meant to be afraid of!” Raze declared.

Although Shay didn’t want to get involved or be seen, there was no way for her to get back without the help of the Dark Magus. She could attempt to run away but after seeing the things he could do and feeling part of his wraith that thought hardly entered her mind.
Instead, she was peeking at Raze’s fight with Alter and she was in disbelief at what was taking place and what she was seeing.
The Alter members who were unable to fight due to how far Raze was now were able to take place in combat and were heading straight for him.
But he was superior in every way, even with them using Artifacts. He would block powerful strikes and then attack with his own swordsmanship taking them out in one or two hits.
With his other hand free, he didn’t stop using magic and casting spells. Sometimes a stream of lightning coming from his finger tips attacking those far away or keeping them in place.
It wasn’t just lightning but blocking other attacks with walls of ice and breaking the ice out to hit multiple enemies.
The fighting was seamless on Raze’s end. Once in a while, it looked like some of the ranged attacks would get through but when almost hitting as if there was a barrier in front of him the magic would just end up disintegrating before it even touched his skin.
With so many members of Alter and all of them using Artifacts, he still hadn’t been hit even a single time.
“He’s incredibly skilled at using magic and not just one type of magic as well,” Shay said to herself. “And his swordsmanship is no laughing matter, I knew that myself. But I can tell now his magic it feels pure.
“It’s not like those fake Mages from Alter who are using mana to supplement their Qi. He’s using both and can even combine them.”
At the time, Shay was too focused on her fight too focused on just trying to figure out a way to beat the Dark Magus who had stolen the Dark edge sword arts.
She was now seeing something a lot clearer, the real power and diversity in his attacks. Because he was a master in both this was the outcome he looked unstoppable in this moment.
‘The deleters are said to have the power to eliminate entire clans. I imagine every single one of us could probably do something like this against Alter as well.’ Shay thought. ‘But there is a clear difference and that’s the fact that all of the Alter members are now using artifacts as well. To be able to fight this well I’m not sure even I would be able to.”
Raze’s sword started to cover itself in lightning the appearance of the weapon he used had changed being more thin and looked far lighter than what he usually would use.
His legs then sparked with lightning for a moment before he burst zigzagging across the field.
He went from one area to the next and men and women were falling to the floor blood splattering in the air.
To the side, the back line and the front no one was safe and they didn’t even know what they were getting attacked by.
Then when Raze was behind them he lifted his sword up, and it was starting to incase itself in darkness.
“He’s finally using it, he’s using the Dark edge sword arts!” Shay said to herself almost excited at the fact. Maybe it was also because she was starting to see Raze as an ally someone who knew the Dark Edge sword arts and was displaying its mighty power,
“Dark edge sword arts second formation. Eclipse strike!” Raze swung his sword down and he wasn’t playing games. He used the formation with his dark magic.
It covers and invaded most of the area in front of him destroying everything in its path. All of the greenery that was in front of the base was gone.
The darkness and the power had consumed almost everything. When the attack eventually ended several bodies of those from Alter were just missing along with the items they held.
There were some that had survived around twenty in total thanks to the items they used either evasive or defensive in nature.
Raze could see several of the members together with different protection artifacts. In response he bent his knees and drew his sword next to him changing it to the ghost blade.
“Fourth formation, void pulse!” Raze exploded from his position and thrusted his sword with mighty power.
Streams of magic exploding behind him and shattering whatever defensive powers the artifacts had given.
Consuming and destroying nearly all of those with the defensive artifacts. Looking back at nearly the hundred or so members that had been sent out, nearly all of them had been eliminated.
As Shay continued to watch she had noted something though.
“The artifacts they’re using there not the highest tier items that Alter have.” She thought. “Why now while being under attack are they not being used?”
The only things she could think of where either the people with them had yet to come out or they had been given away.
The attack certainly was a surprise attack so it would take some time before Alter could fully be up on there feat.
Continuing to come out were more members of Alter. As they rushed out they had gotten in a circle surrounding Raze from all angles around a hundred more men and women.
“This is good, as I said I need to pay you all back ten times worse.”
“Unfortunately you won’t be able to do that.” A voice said exiting from the front doors of the base.
There wasn’t one individual but three that had appeared.
“I didn’t think we would be seeing each other again so soon.” Kawak said head of the Auora clan from the Light faction. By his side was Cicle and Impress the other two leaders of the top Light Faction clans and they all had new weapons in their hands.

Raze recognized the three Light faction leaders instantly. He knew they were working together for a long time, and this was the true nail in the coffin confirming that.
What he didn’t expect was for the three of the top faction leaders to be right here in front of them.
‘In the past it would have been a worrying matter for me to go up against one of them, but now, it’s a different story!’ Raze tightened his grip on his sword practically ignoring nearly all of the other Alter agents that had surrounded the area.
‘Before, the Light faction leaders were compared to the Demonic, maybe slightly weaker in strength by a fraction or so. I have my own power, I have Belil’s power and I have my magic as well, as the items that I use, things won’t go the way they expect them to, let’s finish this quickly!’
Raze pulled the sword to his side and dark magic started to intertwine like vines wrapping around his weapon.
‘I can tell the weapons they hold in their hands, all three of them are incredibly powerful magic swords, so I can’t just go easy on this!’ Raze thought.
‘Dark Edge magic sword art’s first formation!’ Raze flung his sword, and flinging out from his weapon were the intertwining bindings.
These were mixed with magic, and Qi, not only that, Raze in the state he was in now, it had the special trait of the demonic Qi. When it binded an individual he would also gain part of the Qi on those that it was used on.
It was the same for the techniques he had used on the other Alter members from before. He had absorbed their energy when using the Dark Edge sword arts, it was still something he hadn’t figured out how to use when just using his demonic Qi, but only when using these techniques.
Yet there was something else that Shay had noticed while watching from above as well.
“He’s using it…like I did, he didn’t use it this way in the fight?” Shay noticed.
Raze had copied the way the technique was explained and shown in the book. How the sword had to strike the enemy to wrap around them, but in the fight with Shay he learnt that it could be used another way.
If he used the first technique from afar and wrapped it around his enemy he could follow up with another technique and finish the leader off in one go.
Kawak was stood in the centre of the other two leaders and he drew out his weapon. On the outside it didn’t appear to be special. It was a thin crafted sword with a basic handle.
But there was something about it, the weapon itself almost looked like it was made out of perfection. There wasn’t a single scuff mark on the weapon, a single scratch on the outside of it.
This weapon had the appearance as it if it had just been forged, even though it wasn’t the case. As the attack came his way, effortlessly Kawak swung the blade down in front of him.
It had split the attack from Raze in half, and going past on either side of him, it ended up just crashing to the floor.
‘He broke through the attack?’ Raze noticed. ‘But it felt like there was no clash of Qi, or any clash of magic of any kind? So then how was he able to cut through that.’
There was a quick conclusion and Raze had to test it, he had jumped in the air backwards avoiding a strike from the side from one of the Alter members.
When he landed he struck a dark pulse right at the member right through the chest killing him on the spot. This had stopped a large number of the ones on the outside from thinking about just attacking so recklessly.
Right after that, Raze then pushed with his fist in the air, and fired out another dark pulse at the three Light faction leaders and the same thing had happened again.
Kawak effortlessly lifted his sword, and had sliced right through the dark magic. Quickly Raze switched to his lightning, coming out from his finger tips.
Kawak as if he was parrying an attack swung it in the air, and even the lightning was breaking off and being cut apart. Finally he used his crimson slash along with his wind magic, and this time he had half expected the result as Kawak, sliced at this attack right down the middle making it disappear.
“Haha, this weapon is great, its so powerful!” Kawak said since it was the first time he had used it, and he really couldn’t get used to its effects. “It really is doing as it said it would!”
It was quite clear to Raze that this wasn’t the doing of the Light faction member himself, but it was the doing of the weapon that he was using.
Watching from inside the Alter base itself, Heino had a small smile.
“It seems that even useless people can be quite useful when they are given something so powerful,” Heino commented. “The Edge of infinity sword, a sword that is said can cut through anything with no effort at all.
“It doesn’t matter what type of attack you use, how strong your attack is, it will cut through it. If you fight directly hand to hand, you have the fear of losing a limb or two, or even your own precious weapons disappearing right in front of you.”
Heino looked around before calling for one of the programmers.
“You come with me, I need to take a look at the future, I need to see the outcome of all of this.” Heino was moving to where the other artifacts were kept but he was quite confident.
After all so far, only one of the three God tier ranked swords were being used so far in the fight.

Having gotten rid of the Deleters, Raze was quite confident that at least thanks to Simyon’s sacrifice and the sacrifice of everyone else using the powerful Cursed items that he had created, that they had delivered a significant blow to Alter and the rest of their group.
The Golden globe had to be inside, and he believed that might be the reason why he hadn’t seen Heino or Red yet. If he tried to bypass the others, and just search for the Golden Globe, they would still be in there to stop him, and with powerful items as well.
He never believed he could get the Golden globe in this attack, but to just do as much damage to the Alter base and it’s people as possible.
Now, though he could see that due to the items they could increase their strength, just like he could increase the strength of those around him with the Cursed items.
‘His weapon, it appears it can cut through anything, let’s test this a bit!’ Dark magic started to swirl around Raze’s hand, and the weapon had changed into a sword which had mixed in it the ice attribute.
Right after he kicked off from the ground, moving as fast as he could and charged his feet with his lightning magic. Using the footwork technique from the Dark faction he had quickly appeared right by Kawak’s side.
‘I still don’t know the power and strength of the other weapons, so I’m going to be quick, in and out!’ Raze thought as he swung the blade.
Kawak was ready for the attack. His powers didn’t rely in just the weapon alone, at the end of the day, he was the leader of one of the top Light factions as well.
He turned around and raised his weapon, and he didn’t even have to strike ahead. As Raze’s weapon struck and touched the sword, there was no clash of Qi, none of the ice enchantment on the sword had worked.
He could see all of it, his magic, qi and eventually the weapon itself being cut until the top half of it was sliced. Quickly using his lightning magic on his feet he had rushed back to the centre of the field where he was fighting.
And in his hand, he had half of the weapon he once had.
“I was right, the sword can cut through anything, and it’s effortlessly as well,” Raze commented. “If I had pushed fully forward my head would have been sliced in half as well.”
Kawak seeing the reaction of the Dark Magus he was quite pleased.
“What did you say before?” Kawak asked. “This is the group that you are meant to be afraid of. You took over the Dark Faction, and now taking over the Demonic Faction as well. So did you think you could have Pagna to yourself, without anyone stopping you.
“We at the Light faction have always been at the top, and we will show you just that.”
Shay watching from above couldn’t help but frown at Kawak’s words.
‘He’s only putting up a fight because of the weapon in his hands, Even I could have taken him own, and now he has smug air of confidence around him? But Raze, I have to admit, you’ve already done a lot, you’ve taken care of a large number of Alter members, we now know what we might have to face as well.
‘Is it not time to get back. If you use all of your strength fighting them, then what if they give chase!’ Shay thought.
She was wondering if she would have to go down and help her new ally out of a tough situation, but it was hard to think of him as an ally after the way she had been treated.
“Not yet..” Raze mumbled to himself. “It’s not enough, I can still feel it, I haven’t punished anyone anywhere near enough to even ease his pain… I won’t die today, but I still have a lot more I want to do.”
As Raze readied himself for another strike he could see another of the light faction members making a move. This time it was Cicle from the Illumination Clan.
The weapon in his hand was strangely shaped and stood out like a sore thumb. It didn’t have a typical appearance for a sword. It had a regular handle like any other sword but didn’t have a single bladed point that pointed upwards.
Instead the sword was three circles with a bladed edge attached one on top of each other. It certainly wasn’t something that looked like it would be used in combat, but the moment he lifted the weapon, Raze and everyone else could hear something, it was what had sounded like soft whispers.
It was heard by everyone, and then Cicle held the sword by his side, the stance that Raze was looking at, he recognized it well. Because he saw the images multiple times before again and again when he was learning the first technique.
Then he saw it around the weapon itself something started to intertwine with it. Before he knew it Cicle had swung his sword and just like that an attack had come right out towards him.
Raze gathered his Qi, and then he lifted it and with his own Dark magic swung his sword at the attack. The power of the two attacks colliding it vibrated out, and was shaking the entire area until both of the attacks had disintegrated cancelling each other out.
“That attack…it wasn’t just an imitation it was an exact replica…it even used my Dark Magic as well,” Raze said.
A weapon that could cut anything, and a weapon that could copy any sword skill, but not just copy the skill itself but replicate it, even to the very power that was used including the magic.
It was clear Cicle didn’t know any magic so it was all the power of the sword.
“If I get into a direct fight with these three, and I don’t even know what the third sword can do, this isn’t going to be good, there is only one thing I can do.” Raze placed his sword back away with his dark magic, and in his hand, there was a strange long stick like device, with an end that was similar to that of a whistle.
Inside a substance which was glowing.
“I only have…4 of these, but I think this is a good time to use it.”
