Dark Magus Returns #Chapter 1093: The Strength Of Darkness – Read Dark Magus Returns Chapter 1093: The Strength Of Darkness Online – All Page – Novel Bin

In the entirety of the Dark Guild, Harvey was the strongest when it came to using Dark Magic, and the main reason for that was due to his affinity with it being so high. He had dark magic for the longest time, and one way of increasing someone’s affinity with the Darkness was to kill with it.

He had been waiting a long time for the Dark Magus, biding his time, growing his power. With his position, he was able to get away with it easier and had plenty of targets to test his Dark Magic powers on.

The condensed dark magic looked as if it had formed an image directly behind his back, hovering over parts of his body, making Harvey himself appear even bigger than he was.

“Today will be the day people will learn the strength of the Dark Guild,” Harvey claimed.

“And everyone will see just how corrupt dark magic is!” Azbeth leapt forward, pushing wind magic from behind him, allowing him to move forward with an immense amount of speed.

As his sword was lifted in the air, he struck straight down. Harvey lifted both of his hands, with the Dark magic covering them, managing to block the attack.

As the sword hit, sparks of lightning went off in all sorts of different directions, and they were heading for the different parts of Harvey’s body. The small sparks hit him, though they did nothing, as the dark magic disintegrated part of it.

Harvey smiled as he took one hand away, and with his palm, he fired out a beam of dark energy straight at Azbeth.

Quickly, Azbeth spun his body and avoided the strike, and struck from the side with his sword, but the attack was blocked once again.

Azbeth didn’t stop with his strikes as he continued to try and hit Harvey. The two of them were going at it at an incredibly fast pace. Harvey would block with his hands, and when he got the chance, he would use Dark pulses of energy to try and fire at Azbeth.

However, Azbeth had a keen sense, and it was almost like he could predict every time Harvey was going to use such an attack.

“What’s wrong, is the fight not going the way you expected it to?” Azbeth asked. “I’m a guild leader of the Orian Guild. Did you think I would be easy to go up against?”

A strange black tentacle had reached out from Harvey’s hand, but Azbeth swiftly moved again, and a few strikes were struck by his sword, releasing lightning. Although it didn’t seem to hurt Harvey, as the strikes hit his body, the dark magic surrounding his body looked to be diminishing bit by bit and was fading away.

“Everyone here watching you, supporting you. If I deal with you, the rest will lose morale. It’s quite clear that you’re the strongest out of this pack!” Azbeth thrust his sword forward, and a large lightning strike hit.

Harvey had managed to catch the sword with both of his hands, but as the lightning hit his chest, he was zapped and pushed across the stage.

“I’ll take you out now!” Azbeth started to run in circles around Harvey. As he did, lingering wind magic was being used, and it was forming a tornado of sorts around Harvey. Wind was obstructing the view from the outside.

Eventually, Azbeth pulled out, jumping from the wind, and lifted his sword in the air. “There are many ways for a magic swordsman to fight. It’s not the swordsmanship itself that is important, but the way one utilizes the magic with the sword. I can attack directly and attack from the outside as well!”

Lightning left Azbeth’s sword and hit the tornado. As it entered, it was creating a large vortex of attacks. Constant lightning was striking the center. The spells were combining into quite the storm, all directed at Harvey. Read latest chapters at NovelBin.Côm

One of the dark mages went to move forward until another by his side pulled him back. “No,” the Dark Mage member stated. “The magister did not ask for our help. You are to stay with your orders.”

Eventually, the storm started to die down, and Azbeth was expecting victory. For the man to be struck so many times in the center of his storm, he would be out on the ground, and he still had plenty of magic left to use to get rid of the other Dark Magic scum if they decided to put up some type of resistance.

Instead, though, as the winds faded, in its place was the man he was fighting. There was a large body of darkness, hunched over. It soon began to move, as it lifted itself, and the man in robes looked to be completely unhurt.

’That dark energy that was covering him at its back. This guy is more resilient than I thought.’

The dark energy, though, rather than lingering from his body, looked to have separated from it. It moved across the ground and started to strike with its arms. The ends of them sharpened, pointed like a spear, coming right at Azbeth.

With his sword, he managed to knock both of them away and was continually fighting against it. Then, from his eye, he could see that the robed man was still standing and completely fine.

“The Dark Magic detached from your body, it’s like a puppet. How is this possible?” Azbeth stated.

“Hahha, this is my Breakthrough mixed with my Dark Magic,” Harvey claimed.

Azbeth continued to fight against the puppet while watching Harvey just standing there from the side, with the annoying smile wide on his face.

“Your Breakthrough, so you’ve just managed to delay your end even further. I can already tell!” Azbeth slashed his sword down, hitting the shadow puppet’s arm, and then with his other hand, he twisted it, and lightning sparked from above, landing on top of the puppet’s head.

“That if this is your final card to play, then it will be the end.”

“Oh, you think I’m worried?” Harvey replied. “This stage was never set for me to begin with…I’m not the one that you need to worry about!”

Chapter 1095: The Stage Is Set For Him…

Just like that, Alen was gone. He had exited out of the room and was rushing to the location on the screen. From what Raze could remember, the Orian Guild was relatively far away. Even with great Fire magic, it would take a long time to venture out there.

There also wasn’t any convenient mode of transportation where they were right now, and moving by vehicle into the main city would be horrible due to traffic. Magical devices, including flying ones, were created to circumvent traffic, but with the number of accidents that would still occur, they had no choice but to set rules and regulations for that as well, making it just as bad as traveling on the ground.

So the quickest way would be for Alen to use his own magic to get to where he needed to be.

‘I’ll never catch up to him in time,’ Raze thought. ‘He’ll reach there before me, and who knows how much destruction to the Dark Guild he will cause before I arrive. I still need to use the Dark Guild… I need everyone; I can’t let that happen.’

As Raze thought about what to do, an idea popped into his head. ‘Right, I don’t have to chase after him; there’s another way I can travel there. If I cancel the astral projection technique, it will take me back to Pagna. After that, if I use it again, I can link to one of the Dark connections, and I don’t think it will be hard to find which one is Harvey.’

A smirk appeared on Raze’s face as he called out. “Sophie, it’s time to go!” Raze shouted.

A few moments later, and the black cat was seen falling from practically the ceiling. It was a strange sight, as she landed on top of Raze’s shoulder. He looked up and now could see a direct hole above.

“What were you doing up there?” Raze asked, but of course, Sophie couldn’t reply, but she could write words through her Dark magic in the air. Dark magic started to swirl above, but Raze waved his hand through it, disregarding it.

“I can’t right now; I’m in a rush. The situation has gotten quite bad. Look at the screen, and you will understand. I’ll be disappearing for a while, so I thought I would just let you know. Look after Kelly,” Raze said.

Sophie immediately jumped down and turned to look at Raze. She could see his whole body started to fade away, turning into nothing but magical particles until it completely disappeared, and he was gone.

Sophie stared into the spot where Raze was for a while, and then she looked up at the hole in the ceiling. The current look on the cat’s face was of extreme worry, and it wasn’t because of what Raze was currently going through.

Back on the stage, Harvey was standing at the side with his arms folded, watching his puppet made from his Breakthrough Earth magic and that of the Dark magic fight away against Azbeth.

With the lightning sword, Azbeth was able to strike in multiple places at once, even where the sword didn’t hit, and he was quite nimble with his Wind magic, moving in all sorts of places. Parts of the Dark Puppet would break off and fall to the ground.

The puppet would shift and move, sometimes sinking into the ground, disappearing entirely.

At this time, Azbeth decided to go for something else, seeing this. He pointed his sword at Harvey and fired a lightning shot straight at him. Appearing from the ground, the Dark Puppet appeared, blocking the hit and stretching its arms out.

“What is this? Why are you trying to go for me instead? I’m giving you a chance; I’m allowing you to fight my friend one on one here without me getting involved,” Harvey exclaimed.

“Laugh while you can. One of the biggest benefits of being a magic swordsman is that it takes far less mana to conjure our spells,” Azbeth said. “It all relies on our stamina, and I have been through many situations because of it. Your breakthrough will eventually run out.”

Off the platform, the Dark Guild members that were surrounding the room in a circle had received news from the outside.

“It appears as if things are starting to move. Police are starting to head towards the guild,” one reported.

“It should be okay,” another replied. “The Magister was well aware of this possible situation. He stated the standard protocol for something like this is to not rush in. Because there are those that aren’t from the guild inside, they see them as hostages.”

“Because of all of the footage, they should be well aware that we haven’t targeted any of them. If they come in, they will be afraid we will start to use them as a scapegoat of sorts. We will still be okay for a while, until they are confident they can deal with us and save the hostages.”

The fight continued on stage, with the crowd below continuing to film. Hopes were rising as they could see the Dark Puppet was getting smaller in size, its movements getting slower, and even the man who had been smirking the entire time was holding at his chest, due to the pain linked with his Breakthrough.

“Haha, shouldn’t it be about time? Haven’t I waited long enough for you to come?” Harvey had fallen down onto one knee, due to the pain. Any moment now, and his Breakthrough would come to an end.

Yet he could feel something, a strange connection pulling at him, the Dark magic inside him tingling in the air, and in front of him, on the ground, a strange space of floating particles. Dark magic was twinkling above until it was forming a complete person right in front of his eyes.

Dressed in a completely darkened robe that covered one’s head, and magic obscuring all of the details from his face, a particular person had appeared.

Azbeth slashed the puppet right in half, destroying it, turning it into nothing, and right past it, he could see the man in front of him. Due to the Dark magic and robe obscuring his face, all he could see were two white eyes staring at him.

“Who are you?” Azbeth asked, holding his sword towards his face. He didn’t know why, but everything was telling him not to strike.

From down below, the general public, seeing this new figure appear seemingly out of nowhere, started to focus their cameras on him.

Turning around, looking at the situation, Raze was getting a good idea of the situation. Now was the time to play into the situation, to take advantage of everything going on, and to confuse the Grand Magus and strike fear into them.

“Me… I am… the Dark Magus.”

Chapter 1096: How To Use A Sword

“Ha, ha, ha, ha!” Mechanical laughter had exploded in the room of silence, all of it coming from one person, Harvey.

He had been longing for this moment. He had prepared the stage on the global level of Alterian to attract the most attention. When he saw the general public on the ground and seeing their faces broadcasting this moment, he knew he wanted it to be a tale for everyone to know.

And just enough time had passed for news stations, among other broadcasters, picking up what was taking place, and now, the whole of Alterian had heard it. They had heard him say those words that he was the Dark Magus.

Those on the ground felt their feet shaking, their lips quivering as they heard the robed man mention those forbidden words, the words that hadn’t been spoken of too much these days, the Dark Magus.

“All of these people learning Dark magic, the Dark Guild they spoke of, it’s because of him, it’s because of the Dark Magus.”

“It can’t be him; it has to just be someone using his name. It makes no sense; he can’t be here right now.”

“If it is him, though, Azbeth won’t be enough. This is a man who annihilated entire guilds on his own, and now, he has his own guild filled with all of those that know Dark Magic as well. What is going on?”

Right now, Raze was using quite a large amount of magic. He had a robe, but not a special enchanted one since he used his Blazer most of the time when fighting. Not wanting to reveal what he really looked like to those in Alterian, to keep his identity a secret from those it really mattered from, he conjured a special type of robe using his Dark magic.

It spewed out of his body constantly over his robe, making it flicker and constantly move even though he was standing still, as if Dark flames were attached to his robe. Equally, Raze was using the same Dark magic to constantly shift in front of his face.

“The Dark Magus, do you think I’m a fool!” Azbeth shouted as he swung his sword, and lightning struck out, hitting the floor in front of Raze.

“The Grand Magus killed the Dark Magus; the world no longer has to fear that name! You think you can fool the entire world into fear? Now I understand what you are doing.”

“Shut up!” Harvey shouted. “The world is corrupt, and the only way to heal it is to start anew. Do you think there wasn’t a reason why we, the Dark Guild, chose you?”

“The Orian Guild didn’t rise to its position justly. When guilds of lower status discovered new portal locations, you forced them to hand them over. If they didn’t comply, in some instances, Mages would end up going missing during portal outings.”

“When these reports would come to light, you would bribe officials, and dealing with the Cerebus guild. There’s a reason why you’re so connected to the Grand Magus’s guilds, and the corruption only starts here, going all the way to the top of the Grand Magus itself.”

“The whole world follows a fake truth, and we, the Dark Guild, along with the Dark Magus, will take it down and reveal a new one.”

“I’ve heard enough,” Azbeth claimed. “I will take down this fake in front of everyone, so nobody has to live in fear!”

Azbeth charged forward and swung it down to strike right at Raze. It was fast, and lightning came hurling down along with the sword strike. When it went to hit the robed man, a sound of metal clashing on metal rang through the room.

Now being held in Raze’s hand was a sword itself, thin and had a slight blue tinge to it.

“You think you can use a sword on a magic swordsman?” Azbeth claimed.

He moved from side to side, moving to strike at Raze. The sword was hitting nothing but the air as it swung down, and the darkness that was covering Raze’s body was deflecting the electrical sparks.

‘In this form, I can’t use Qi… but everything that I have been through, and this body is not the same as it was before, when I was the old Dark Magus. This body is strong; it’s fast as well. I’ve fought countless fights with the sword.’

‘I’ve swung and met master swordsmen throughout the entirety of Pagna!’

As the sword strikes came close to Raze’s face, he started to hit and deflect the strikes. With each deflection and knocking it to the side, Raze would activate his own Lightning magic. The two would clash, and Azbeth could feel his sword flinging to the side completely.

‘What is going on… it feels like he’s using less power than me, his magic is no stronger than mine, so why is he able to parry all of my strikes?’ Azbeth thought.

Azbeth swung at the hooded man’s face; the blow missed, and the sword instead was seen thrusting right at his face, grazing his cheek and causing blood to pour.

“What is this!” Azbeth asked as he quickly moved back, with his wind creating distance between the two. “What type of magic are you using?”

“Magic?” Raze replied back, holding onto his sword. “What I’m using is not magic. It’s just that I know how to properly use a sword. If you want to see magic, then let me show you

magic.”

A thought started to form in Raze’s head. On Alterian, there were mages who were able to fight as Pagna warriors. They were able to supplement their mana for their Qi. They were just unable to have both.

Which meant they had to choose to either use magic or Qi; they couldn’t use both at the same time. So while Raze was in this state in Alterian, what about him, could he not do the opposite? Could he just supplement his mana for Qi instead?

Raze shifted his feet and burst forward, moving at an incredible speed, and swung his sword. As Azbeth struck back, the sword was broken in half, and he felt a heavy strike right at his

neck.

Right there and then, Azbeth fell to the ground. “That is how you use a sword,” Raze

exclaimed.

Chapter 1097: The Final Word

Raze looked at the sword he had used. It was one that had been specially enchanted with Lightning magic. When he had the chance after becoming leader of the Dark Faction, he had made sure to use the gifts he had been given and put them to good use.

He had enchanted a sword, each with every affinity of magic he had. If these weapons would break, the first thing he would do was enchant them with his magic again, so he always had something on hand that he could use.

He especially found this helpful when fighting against Sha Mo and his group, so he continued to do so. Right now, he was using his Lightning-enchanted blade. Although with his current state of being a mage that could only use magic in this form, using his newfound idea of replacing what he would use Qi with mana seemed to work.

He could pull off some basic sword techniques that he had learned and use his body well. With the sword enchantment, it almost emulated him using magic and Qi at the same time. It was just a far weaker version of things than what he was used to, but it was enough to take out Azbeth, the head of the Orian Guild.

‘In order for us to progress, he needed to be defeated. He wouldn’t let the Dark Guild go after everything they have done,’ Raze thought to himself. ‘I can’t blame the Dark Guild for doing any of this. My path was far more bloody; all we can do is limit the amount of blood that needs to be taken, and a large action like this will make sure many guilds in the future, and the general public, choose that it’s best not to go up against us… the Orian Guild’s sacrifice has helped save many lives, in our bloody path.’

‘Besides, from what Harvey was saying, the Orian Guild wasn’t the best of guilds in the first place.’

Raze swung his sword out to the side, splattering the blood from his weapon onto the floor. It was a simple flick, and then he turned to the crowd below. They all felt themselves shuffling back as they could see the white eyes staring at them.

‘Yes, yes, yes!’ Harvey screamed inwardly. ‘This is it; this is what I was waiting for. And the entrance made by the Dark Magus was even better than I thought. He bested the guild leader without even using his superior magic. He had decided to beat him at his own game, using his own sword skills! It was something that I couldn’t even have planned better if I had the chance myself…this is spectacular!’

The crowd was amazed, and they were frightened by what they had witnessed. It made no sense to them.

“How was he able to win… was that magic? But there didn’t look to be a strong sense of mana or anything like that?”

“You’re a mage, right? Explain what just happened.”

“I have no idea. If we’re just talking about mana, it felt like Azbeth was able to produce more. Yet with each of the sword strikes, he was able to deflect them somehow.”

The mana being replaced by Qi powering the powerful body that Raze had. A body that Mages couldn’t imagine without some type of enhancement or modifications to be made. Even if Azbeth was able to keep up with Raze, it was due to magic.

Whereas Raze’s speed and strength were coming from his own body.

“The fact that he managed to beat him this easily, though, does that mean this is the real Dark Magus!”

One of the guests stationed at the front, with shaky hands, was focusing the camera on Raze. This camera, in particular, was what the news channels all around Alterian were starting to use. The broadcast was being shown on all screens.

In all venues, due to the groundbreaking events. Even on the streets as they walked, large billboards were displaying what was happening, urging people not to head to the area where the tragedy was occurring.

For the general public, it wasn’t the first time this had occurred. They reminisced back to the days, the days where the Dark Magus would appear. Again and again, each time, eventually causing everyone to hide in fear and learn of the great name.

Right now, the general public was feeling that fear again as they stopped in the streets all to look at the screen.

Raze looked directly at those holding up their magical recording devices. He had a good idea of what had happened, how much time had passed; by now, all of the eyes would have been on him.

“You thought you could get rid of me, but you were not able to,” Raze started to speak. In the open streets, his voice was being played loudly for everyone to hear.

“But, Alterian has a darkness that can’t go away. A past that is being hidden by those the people trust the most. In the past, you might have called me a madman, thinking I was just doing things for my own benefit.”

“The Dark Magus, a name given to me by you, the people, a name given to strike fear into you. The name wasn’t given to strike fear into the general public; no, it was to put me down, to make me hunted and hated by everyone.”

“But I took that; I took all the hate, all the anger of the people, and took it in. If I am to be the villain of this world, in the eyes of the people, then so be it, but this name that you have given me… I will now use it to strike fear into you.”

“The Grand Magus, Enaxx, Ibarin, Trubin, Gizin, and Idore. I will make sure all of your darkness comes to light; that is my duty as the Dark Magus.” Raze then lifted his hand into the air and started to gather Dark magic around, swirling in the palm of his hand.

“Let this message spread to the people of Alterian and to you, the GRAND MAGUS, THE DARK MAGUS HAS RETURNED!”

The magic spread out from Raze’s hand and engulfed all of the magic devices, cutting off the broadcast, with his final words ringing out.

Chapter 1098: Perfect, Perfect, Perfect

‘Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!’ Right now, Harvey was resisting the urge to clap. If he did, he felt like the other Dark Guild members would respect him slightly less, and it would have ruined this more than perfect moment that had been prepared.

Still, the spectacle of everything had brought almost a tear to his eye, and he now felt like the other Dark Guild members were able to witness the greatness in the Dark Magus as much as they did.

After saying what words needed to be said, Raze had used his Dark magic carefully to shoot out a ton of Dark pulses. The magic itself didn’t harm any of the hostages that had arrived. Not a single stray of magic had harmed them.

Instead, the magic was directed to all of the magical recording devices. Nearly everyone had taken them out to record the moment, thinking it was some type of defiance that protected their lives, and even if a few didn’t, since they were destroyed, they wouldn’t dare take it out now without anyone to protect them.

The level of magic control needed to perfectly direct the attack in several different directions at once was only what the pinnacle of mages could do. With Raze’s past nine-star status and his magic control being superior to most, it was something that he could at least do.

‘The only ones left from the Orian Guild are those two swordsmen,’ Raze saw. ‘They have dropped their weapons, so there is no need to fight them. The best thing to do now is to get out of this situation, but I believe it will be a hard one.’

Raze turned his head to look at Harvey, wondering if he knew a way to get out of the situation. There was no doubt the outside now was filled with police officers, or perhaps even the Cerebus Guild had been called to help with the situation.

After Raze’s message, he wouldn’t be surprised if the Grand Magus decided to appear themselves, and it wasn’t the time to go against them, not yet.

While in the middle of his thoughts and looking at the worried faces in front of him, the door to his right was immediately engulfed in flames. The Dark Mages next to it stood back as they pointed their hands towards it.

The flames burst open through the door, and a bright figure was seen jumping right through. “An intruder, quickly get rid of him!” the Dark Guild members shouted. Immediately, with their hands, they fired out two Dark pulses towards him.

Right after, they heard the sound of clicking, and flames igniting on either side, far larger than the Dark Pulses. They rose up, blocking the attack. Two more clicks were heard, and fireballs shot out, hitting the Dark Mages, lifting them off their feet and sending them to the floor.

Their clothes almost immediately ignited. The flames dwindled, though, as Raze swung his arms, and Wind magic blew the fire away, taking out the flames on the members, and now he was looking at the intruder who had entered.

‘Right… I almost forgot about you, the whole reason why I rushed over here in the first place.’

“Dark Guild members, I have come here to make sure all of you repent for your crimes!” Alen shouted.

The hostages that were present, some of them recognized the man who had just entered. “Alen Fullbringer. He’s one of the Captains of the Radiant Order!”

“Oh right, he’s the person that’s training under Enaxx, right, the six-star mage. With him, we’re saved!”

Alen quickly grasped the situation, and he quickly moved, firing off fireballs after fireballs quickly at the Dark mages in the different areas, but equally, fighting back, Raze, from the stage, fired out Dark Pulses from his hand.

They had hit each of the fireballs before they could reach their target, extinguishing them there and then.

“I see, you’re the main target. If I get rid of you, then the rest will fall with it!” Alen jumped in the air, flames flowing from his legs. He was still being attacked by several of the Dark Mages firing towards him.

His acrobatic display wasn’t for show, as the flames from his legs managed to create a flame barrier of sorts, blocking the attacks all coming from behind and the sides. When he landed, he pushed both hands forward, and fire came out, heading straight for Raze.

Equally though, Raze used both hands as he fired out Dark magic, hitting the large amount of fire. They pushed back against each other until eventually it appeared as if both of them were equal in power.

‘Alen is a six-star mage, and fire is more fluid of a magic than Dark Magic. I can’t win with magic alone, and even using Qi, I don’t think I can win this fight either. Although it doesn’t matter if I lose this fight… I have yet to get the items from the others yet either!’

That was when Raze had figured out the solution to his answer.

“Guild members!” Raze shouted. “All of you, aim at the hostages!”

It only took a second for them to listen to Raze’s word, as if it was his absolute command.

“Stop this now!” Raze said as he placed his hand forward toward Alen. “We have not harmed any of the hostages, or those not involved with the guild so far. If you try to push further, if you try to attack us anymore, then we will push forward with this matter.”

Almost immediately, Alen stopped as he had a deep frown on his face and stood straight. Raze, knowing Alen’s character a bit more, knew him well. He wasn’t like other mages that could sacrifice; he would try to save everyone. Alen reminded Raze a lot of himself before he had learned the truth.

“Let’s make a deal,” Raze said.

Alen didn’t know why, but right now, he was having a heavy, familiar sense, like he had been in this situation before.

Chapter 1099: A Deal Is A Deal

Alen, from the corner of his eye, was looking at the panicked people that were in the center. He then looked toward the Dark Guild mages. He knew the gist of the situation from the news broadcast, and he was hoping by his surprise entry he could deal with multiple of the Dark Guild members.

One’s first instinct when they had an attacker was to defend themselves or to attack the person attacking them. They didn’t think of using hostages until they felt like their back was truly up against the wall.

What Alen didn’t count on was that there would be someone who was able to match his power. Derailing all of his plans, it allowed the members of the Dark Guild to stay calm, and with it, they now had all of their hands pointed towards the hostages. It was the worst position for Alen to be in.

‘I went past several of the police officers on the way here. They must be gathered outside just now, but they won’t come in so hastily… in this type of situation, it might even be a good thing,’ Alen thought as he looked towards the man.

“As I said, we have no interest in the people here,” Raze continued as he could see various thoughts were running through Alen’s mind. “We have already split the blood that needed to be split. Right now, I guarantee that no blood will be shed further unless it’s necessary.”

Normally, Raze wouldn’t try such a thing, such a negotiation with an individual. He knew there were plenty of people who would go back on their word, say what needed to be said to gain an advantage in the situation. In Raze’s world, it wasn’t good to trust anyone; however, he had dealt with Alen, and now he was using this knowledge to his advantage.

“A deal goes both ways, you bastard!” Alen shouted. “So what do you want?”

“All members of the Dark Guild are free to leave this place. No one is to tail them for at least five minutes. After that, they can do as they wish. To earn your trust, I will stay here with you and with the people.

“If the order is not complete, then the people inside here die?”

Raze staying with Alen was two parts to the deal. For one, he would be worried that Raze could eliminate all of the hostages, and as for the second part, Alen would feel like he had a chance to capture the main man behind it all.

Besides all of that, even if the deal was unfairly in Alen’s favor, he would happily have done anything to save the people because that’s just what type of person he was.

“Fine,” Alen said.

“Then, I think it would be best if you head outside and tell the people not to attack our fellow people now, otherwise, the deal will be off,” Raze said.

Alen grunted, but he decided to head outside. He thought about it for a moment; maybe with the help of the others, he could do something, but it was too risky. He didn’t understand the capabilities of Dark Magic or the power the robed leader had.

If he was on the same level as himself, Alen knew it was very easy to get rid of all of the hostages on the inside.

As soon as Alen had left the room, Raze turned to Harvey.

“Take me to the item room immediately. After that, I’ll return here. When I do, everyone is to escape this place as soon as possible. Run back, and you can regroup another time.”

“What if he attacks?” Another Guild member asked.

Harvey wanted to use his own powers to zap the guild member right there and then. How dare he ask the great Dark Magus a stupid question.

“He won’t trust me; you will be safe, just go as far as you can,” Raze answered. “As for you, Harvey, we will meet at the usual place after this. Stay safe.”

Harvey nodded, and the guild members quickly moved Raze to the item room. Using his special blazer, he was able to store all of the items that he needed inside. A vast amount of magical equipment, some of them yet to be enchanted, and a large amount of power stones to be used as they wished as well.

Right after Raze had re-entered the central room, and seeing that he was back, the Dark Guild members understood, as they all started to head out of the guild, exiting from all the different exits as quickly as possible.

“None of you should move,” Raze said as he looked at the people on the stage. “If you don’t move, you will live.”

Some of them had thought about it for a second as they saw the last Dark Guild member leave the room, but they stayed put, hearing Raze’s words. His voice deep and clear, with the power to follow through with his words.

On the outside, several vehicles had been parked up, surrounding the guild base. They stayed quite far away, not entering the territory of the guild base, staying just outside of the patched grass and onto the main road.

Alen had already come out and talked with the chief officer in charge.

“What do you mean, let them go!” The chief shouted. “We’re talking about mass murderers in here, and they all know Dark Magic as well. If we let them go, my head will be on a plank!”

“And would you rather have so many people die inside instead!” Alen shouted. “We are talking with those that have already killed. At least the guild were the only ones that were hurt; we’re talking about children in there as well!”

The chief was mumbling to himself as he was thinking about what to do, and in the middle of it all, he could see several Dark Mages coming out, rushing from the guild base. They weren’t just using Dark magic this time; they were using all of the elements to get as far away as they could while also staying out of sight.

Several of the officers acted out, firing magical spells out toward the Dark mages. In an instant, though, Alen swung his arm, and a large line of fire covered part of the sky. It hit all of the magic spells, almost absorbing the attacks.

“I’m telling you now!” Alen said. “I won’t let those people inside die!”
