Chapter 1105: Creating The Most Powerful Cursed Weapons
After everything that had happened in Alterian, it was time for Raze to return to the world of Pagna. He had spent far less time than he had expected in the other world, thinking it would take some time before he found the answers he needed, or to gather the items he wished to gather.
With the help of the Dark Guild, including Harvey and Kelly, he had been able to proceed and get things over within an entire day. As his body was at the peak of the middle stage, there was no need for him to sleep to regain his energy.
On a lower level than Safa, Raze was even able to constantly meditate so that he was using cultivation techniques even when he was doing other things, regaining his energy, so as long as he didn’t fight or use his powers, there was no need for him to sleep.
Which was why, despite it being night, he had decided it was time for him to immediately work on the next project. Stretching his arms out, a flurry of items left from his blazer and started to pour into the room.
A mixture of power stones, small little bracelets, and there were even weapons such as swords, axes, among other things. It was quite clear that what had been raided was a treasury as such. Since the Orian Guild was filled with mages, there was no need for them to use
weapons.
So Raze could only conclude this is what they had brought from other worlds that had great synergy with magic, which was a bonus to him. The guilds would often use these items as they could still sell them for a higher price.
What was even more beneficial, that Raze knew Harvey hadn’t planned, was the guild being full of magic swordsmen. Meaning they had more weapons than the standard guild regardless of this point, and weapons that were good with magic.
Some already enchanted, and some items ready to be enchanted.
‘For now, I need a work table. This base of mine under the lake is good for me to craft things. As I won’t be distracted by others like the time Sha Mo and the others came to attack,’ Raze thought.
With his Earth magic, he lifted his hands and started to craft a special type of table in front of him. On top of that, he placed a round cylinder-like object where the power stones could be sorted, and then he started to build shelves where weapons could be stored and more.
The room was starting to be filled as Raze used his magic to split certain sections of the room into what he wanted. It was starting to feel more like a mad scientist’s lair. Especially with the location.
In the middle of it all, though, a thought did hit his head for a moment. ‘I do wonder what happened to that girl… I’m sure that Alen will be panicking after a few days with no response,’ Raze thought. ‘When I disappeared, there was no one to care for me, but for her, it’s different.’
‘However, I don’t have time to try and soothe other people’s worries. I have my own matters to deal with, as fast as possible.’
The room was finally finished, and now what Raze needed to decide was what items to enchant, and who to craft them for. There was a lower chance for failures with the high- quality items and his own magic, but still, there would no doubt be a few.
‘I promised that I would make a new set of items for Dame,’ Raze thought first. ‘He is going back to the Neverfall Clan, and no doubt his brothers will be giving him some trouble. With his new hybrid form, although he has grown strong, he will need more than that. I will start with him in mind.’
There was also a limit to how many powerful items that Raze could create. So he had to be careful as to who else he would give items to.
‘Amir has the power of the Bonum Society backing him. Ricktor and Mada were able to gather powerful artifacts from the clans. That’s the same for Rayna, as well as Simyon, Safa, and Liam. Although they aren’t world-shattering items like what Alter might have, they still will help them deal with most.’
Raze started to think of others that might be helpful in his fight, such as the two brothers of the Neverfall Clan. With items, their power would skyrocket, but Raze never thought he would feel this way; it felt wrong.
He would much rather give items to those that have been loyal to him and helped him progress through. He would even rather give a powerful item to someone like Brack.
It was the first time in a long time where he was choosing his feelings over reasoning or the best choice for the outcome of the situation.
“The Crimson Crane members have been waiting for items for the longest time. Cronker and Alba, they need to finally get their weapons. They are loyal and powerful as well, and I’m sure they will be a big help against Alter.’
“There is also Anna as well. Although Zon is extremely powerful and there’s no need to help him, she might be able to utilize a weapon extremely well.”
In his head, Raze was already planning; in the fight against Alter, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as going up against Alter. The Light Faction was under their control. So he would be utilizing three units.
The Dark Faction, the Demonic Faction, and then utilizing his own group of people. The Crimson Crane, with their powerful items, would need to go against the majority of Alter and deal with them head to head.
They would be the biggest impact in this war, along with those close to him.
‘At some point, I might need to call on Safa to help me upgrade the features of the blazer as well,’ Raze thought.
“There’s one thing I’m sure of, though,” Raze said as he lifted his hand, and the Dark magic swirled until it gathered in his palm. “I will have to use the feature of the Dark Magic to create Cursed items. Although it will affect us, it’s the only way we can truly combat against Alter.’
“It’s time to make the most powerful cursed items the world has seen,” Raze said as he stretched out his hand, and wind blew over the first item in his hand.

Chapter 1106: A Bad Time For Pagna
When Aurora opened her eyes, strange scents wafted into her nose. The burning of incense that she wasn’t quite used to, compared to her rush of chemical bed cleaners and fruity magical room fresheners she had at home.
Immediately, a panic had set in her heart. She looked around and noticed multiple beds, wooden frames, and a bunch of other tools that she had only seen in TV programs but never come across in real life.
“It wasn’t a dream… it really wasn’t a dream…” Aurora started to immediately sob, as she remembered everything. She had no doubts that it wasn’t a dream for the longest time. She could feel everything when she arrived.
She felt the hunger in her stomach from before and the mud splashing on her face, but she had hoped that just maybe it was a trick, a dream of some sort of spell, but she was still in this type of situation.
“I know it can be kinda scary, which is why I’m here to help answer any questions you have.” When Aurora turned her head, she saw the orange-haired girl from before. The only person that understood her in this foreign land, the only person that made her feel as if she hadn’t gone mad since she went here.
“Thank you, thank you!” Aurora first said. “Thank you for being real!”
Her arms dangled on Charlotte’s shoulder, and snot was dripping out of her nose onto her clothes. Charlotte carefully pushed her away and provided tissues. She was expecting this. Being part of Alter, it also wasn’t the first time she had dealt with Otherworlders, and their reactions were quite similar; even she was in the same situation.
“Where am I right now?” Aurora asked. “What happened to me, how did this happen, and can I call someone and contact my brother?”
Charlotte waited for Aurora to blurt out all of her concerns and questions at once before answering.
“We’re in the same town that you arrived in before, located in a place called Pagna, and right now you’re in the town hall, a room for visitors,” Charlotte explained. “But by where you are right now, I’m guessing that wasn’t really the question that you were trying to ask.”
“First, I want to say that I am from Alterian like you, and not only that, I have been through the exact same thing that you have now. It’s going to be hard to believe. Although maybe not with what you’ve already been through, but I need you to take everything I say carefully. To not interrupt me, to not panic, and to deal with the situation at hand.”
Aurora nodded along. She was willing to do whatever this person asked of her; she was clinging onto her words, but Charlotte didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Slowly, Charlotte explained to the best of her abilities. Himmy was always the person to deal with these matters, and he was better at this than her, but Charlotte still tried her best to explain that she was on another world.
A planet far from where Alterian was. She explained that she wasn’t the only one this had happened to, and the differences that the two worlds had. After explaining all of that, she went into greater detail.
About Pagna warriors and their Qi, the dos and don’ts of the world, and finally, the solutions she might have been looking for, about getting back to Alterian, getting in contact with them, and so much.
Charlotte let it out gently. It wasn’t that there was absolutely no way, but those from Alterian were currently searching.
When Charlotte finally explained everything, there was a blank stare on Aurora’s face, which was just looking straight ahead at her.
“It’s a lot to take in, and after a week of being here, only then I started to accept the reality myself,” Charlotte said. “It will take some time.”
As Charlotte stayed by Aurora’s side, a knock on the door was heard. As the door opened, the dark-skinned woman Aurora had seen before had arrived again.
“Everything okay in here?” Alba asked.
Although Aurora could hear the words coming out from Alba’s mouth, she still didn’t understand what was happening.
“Yeah,” Charlotte said. “It’s as expected, she’s a mage from Alterian, which is why the panic. We haven’t had one in a while, at least not in the Demonic Faction. It’s a good thing that she was in Flendon, otherwise, who would have known what would happen to her.” Charlotte said.
“You can speak their language?” Aurora asked.
That reminded Charlotte as she pulled out a device; it was circular, flat, with a golden I. What the members of Alter used to help communicate; they had gotten their hands on a large
number of them after the extermination.
She then handed it over to Aurora.
“With that, you should be able to understand us; it’s a magical item,” Charlotte explained.
“So, do you guys know each other then? Is she someone you recognize?” Alba asked.
“Oh, it works, it really works!” Aurora said.
“We don’t know each other,” Charlotte answered. “Alterian is a big place with a large population. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone from Alterian that I know.”
“There are more from Alterian, right? Maybe I will know someone, though?” Aurora said, excited.
“Right, we can meet them,” Charlotte replied. “And see if you do. Honestly, though, you have come at a rough moment for us. Right now… we’re in the middle of a fight. If all things go
well, then there might be a way for us to go home.”
“A way to go home, that’s good news!” Aurora said.
Maybe it was for someone who didn’t know the full extent of what was happening and the possible large-scale battle that was up ahead.
“I’ll introduce you to the others, and when I can, I’ll introduce you to Raze as well,” Charlotte
said.
It was the second time she had heard the name since being here.
“Raze?” Aurora asked.
“Yeah, he’s from Alterian as well; he’s kind of the leader around here. He can be a little scary, though, but he’s the person that’s going to take us back home.”

Chapter 1107: The Pact Broken (Part 1)
Raze, along with his allies, weren’t the only ones that knew something big was taking place, causing Alter and the Light Faction to make moves.
In particular, the Light Faction was starting to make moves and were making the biggest waves among those. An emergency meeting had been called between leaders of all of the Light Faction Clans.
As to who had called the meeting, it was Kawak and Cicle, the heads of the Aurora Clan and the Illumination Clan. Because these two powerhouses had called, every leader that covered their territory, every clan head that was located in a town or village had been called to the meeting
room.
The clan heads were in a circular room with tiered seating that continued to swirl around. There were around sixty or so members present, and on the ground itself was Kawak and Cicle.
“I thank everyone for coming on such short notice,” Kawak said. “Usually, we would be sitting in the judging seats, but that just goes to show you how important this meeting is, as I am down here, talking to all of you.”
In the seating areas, there were three reserved seats for the top clans in the Light Faction. The three clans that contained the most power.
Right now, there was a single individual that was sat in one of those three seats, and that was Impress, who was part of the Dawnblade Clan.
The other Elders of the Dawnblade Clan were present, but with what had recently happened, she had been made head of the elders. Her arms were folded, with a sword rested against her lap as she sat down, listening to what was on display.
“We are at a turning point in history!” Kawak claimed. “It’s quite clear that new powers beyond our understanding are at hand. The Demonic Faction and Dark Faction are coming closer day by day.”
“But, a change is coming, and one that we are at the forefront of. If we don’t do something to change the flow, then we will get sucked into all of this mess, so there is only one thing we can do, to either fight it, or get sucked into it!”
Hearing Kawak’s speech, many of those nodded in agreement as they heard him speak. They were being troubled by matters for a long time now, and it certainly didn’t feel like things were going in the way of the Light Faction.
“The Light Faction must do what it can to uphold its beliefs, and we need to make sure that everyone is on the same page, and uphold the same beliefs as us… right now, if I asked you, who are closest to us, that don’t uphold the same beliefs as us, what is your answer?”
The leaders looked at each other as they thought about it. Their continent bordered both the Demonic and Dark Factions. Which one was closer?
“Maybe the Dark Faction… we’ve had more trouble with them, is that what you mean?” One of the leaders asked.
“No, and it is exactly that thinking which is why we are falling behind,” Kawak said. “The people who are closest to us, that don’t follow our ways, are the local people.”
“The local people?” The leaders asked, and there was much murmur between them when they heard these words. They couldn’t quite believe what might be suggested and the way this was going, but they would listen out for now.
“The local people do not follow our way or our beliefs,” Cicle added. “They are not part of the Light Faction that we have built up and have their own goals.”
“It’s quite easy to see, if they are swayed that it would be a wreck for us. Yet, they have a large number of resources, hundreds of thousands of people ready to risk their lives for them.”
“However, it is not the fault of the people themselves, but those above them.”
“Exactly!” Kawak enthusiastically said. “How can we fight together as one, how can we proceed, when we have even those closest to us not following us? Not supporting us fully from behind. We need to be united, and small pain must be made for us to ultimately achieve our utopia!”
The murmur continued among the leaders. “Are you telling us to go against the local citizens, to break the pact that was made between Pagna warriors and them? If that is to take place, disaster will strike us all.”
“It will not,” Cicle said. “I’m sure you have heard, the Dark Magus had defeated a kingdom and even slayed its king, yet nothing had befallen him.”
“So you wish for us to use the same methods as the Dark Faction. To give up on our core values, then that will just make us worse than them!” Another leader shouted, and it sounded as if many in the room agreed.
“We will strive our best to take as few lives as possible. To replace only those that are needed to be replaced, and to force our values down upon them for the better.”
“Remember what I said, a large change is coming, and if we don’t do this, everything will fade. Our utopia, our ideals, and the land will be filled with nothing but demons and thieves…. It is all of our failure that we have let it get this far.”
“And I would say that it is now our punishment that we have to resort to this. That we have to bear the sins ourselves so that the future can enjoy the utopia that we will build for them.”
Inwardly, Cicle was smiling as he could see the nods across the room. If there was one thing Kawak had always been good at, it was his persuasive tongue, knowing what to say to the people. Knowing what to say at the right time, to make sure that their lives were lost.
“So just spell it out, what are you suggesting?” Another leader asked.
“The task at hand?” Kawak asked. “The elimination of the Empire, and the integration of the people to be united.”

Chapter 1108: The Pact Broken (Part 2)
The group of Light Faction clans seemed somewhat divided on what was being proposed. To have a war with the civilians in the Light Faction. It was tough for a lot of them to stomach due to their values.
It wasn’t as if clans within the Light Faction never fought each other, but there tended to be a reason for the fighting, and it would be done in a way that was deemed honorable.
However, to deal with the situation quickly and to not fight in a full-scale war, they would have to attack only the leaders and those that controlled the general public.
Doing this, it felt like they were more so members of the Dark Faction, rather than that of the Light Faction. It was the part that wasn’t sitting well with them.
Then there were those that also agreed with what Kawak was saying. They were willing to follow him, believing he knew the path to a brighter future for the Light Faction.
There were also those that just wanted to get on his good side, closer to the top so they could one day have a chance at the seat.
Finally, there were those that believed it was about time. Pagna warriors were a higher class, those who devoted their life to martial arts at a chance of immortality.
They were extremely powerful, being able to kill regular humans with a simple slap at times. Yet they always had to restrain themselves due to the pact, had to follow part of the rules that they created, but why?
The biggest issue, though, was who they were going up against. Unlike the split kingdoms in the other Factions’ territory, the Light Faction was under one group of people, the Empire.
The Empire had greater wealth than other areas, they had greater influence as well compared to other factions, and who knew what power they were hiding other than their incredibly large army.
At times, people even wondered if it was the Empire itself that was protecting the Light Faction from getting eliminated.
Since the Light Faction was quite integrated with the Empire with its dealings. If the other factions attacked the Light Faction directly, there was a chance it would also disrupt things with the empire.
“The decision has been made,” Kawak said. “I am not asking for opinions. A change is needed, and the Aurora Clan as well as the Illumination Clan are already committed to this.”
“I am asking you all to either be part of that change or not. However, I understand those that might not wish to bear the sins for the future generations. I will not impose that this is something that you must do.”
“For those who wish to progress, then please head back to your clans, where more information will be provided on what will happen next. As for those who do not wish to take part, then please stay.”
The discussions between the elders had continued. They were talking, trying to convince each other, and as time went on, more and more had decided to leave the room.
In the end, the majority had left the room, including that of Impress. In the end, there were only ten that were left in the room that were against the attack.
They were called from their seats down to the center of the room, where they could face Kawak and Cicle.
“Brothers and sisters. I understand your decision. It is a tough one for all of us to make. I will wish you all good luck on your journey,” Kawak said, bowing his head down. When he lifted his head, he drew his sword and slashed right at their necks.
The strike, filled with Qi, extended out, killing five of them, and on the other side, Cicle had done the same.
“I wish you all luck in the afterlife,” Kawak said. “As we stated, we all need to be on the same page. We can’t have those close to us being against us. I have done so much to reach the realm of immortality, I will not let fools like you get in my way.”
Kawak turned around, and Cicle followed him by his side, both of them slightly grabbing onto their chest, knowing what was at risk for them if they didn’t succeed with all of this.
“We will start in a few hours, get everyone ready.”
A pulse was sent through the entire Light Faction, with all of the clan heads getting ready to make their move. Meetings were called between the local mayors that lived in their towns.
Guard generals and officials that controlled the cities and the lands. It was usual for meetings to take place, so it didn’t seem out of the blue.
What wasn’t regular was what happened next. At a simple swing of the hand, heads went flying and rolling on the floors. This had taken place all over the Light Faction areas.
Some didn’t have it in them to go dark in their ways, challenging military officials to a fight. At first, they believed they were joking, but when not allowing them to leave their rooms, they could see that it was serious.
The fights themselves didn’t last long, in front of the powerful Pagna warriors.
The pulse was spreading throughout the Light Faction, and even Impress had succeeded in taking over one of the biggest cities, as she had the general of the empire underneath her foot. “Haha, we should have done this a long time ago,” Impress said. “I can’t believe we were following orders from you, and what for, what is with all of this?”
Using the full strength of her feet, the skull was crushed, and a city had been taken over.
Lastly, there was only one place left, the empire’s palace where the emperor resides. This task was left to Kawak and Cicle themselves.
Sitting in the throne room, the emperor with light blonde hair was sitting in his seat, a man that looked to be around thirty years of age was perplexed as the reports had come in.
“I thought this would happen after the matter in the Demonic Faction,” the emperor said. “I guess we have no choice. Contact the Divine Realm, tell them the pact has been broken.”

Chapter 1109: Just Stay Alive
The empire was located in Battlefront City. It was a magic city that had the appearance as if it was tiered and built one layer on top of the other like that of a cake. Beautiful water streamed from the main palace went down these water streams until it had eventually hit the main river that connected out towards the sea.
It was a peaceful place, and there was one unique feature of the city compared to others in the Light Faction. There were no clans present in the city itself. Pagna warriors were still welcome to come and go, but mainly for visiting or on short-term business.
No clans were allowed to be established in the city. On top of that, it was claimed that there was a number of new technologies constantly being produced by the empire, as well as them training the most powerful soldiers to be ready in existence.
“So this is what we’re up against?” Impress said. “If they’re as useless as the wall guards from before, then there is no problem.”
“Do not get too hasty and cause too many problems,” Kawak said as they walked through the streets, going up the selected tiers, heading to the large palace. It spread far and wide in light-colored, sand-like brickwork.
On the edge, looking from down below, a large amount of guards, including cannon-like devices, were placed on the edge of the wall. It was almost like a border between two cities, between the palace and Battlefront City.
“The people here and the army are what we want to utilize on top of whatever it is the empire has been hiding up its sleeve for the longest time,” Kawak stated. “If we get rid of the emperor and the top officials and force them to submit to us, then we will have a larger army to fight with ourselves.”
“Are you not slightly worried?” Cicle asked as he stopped. There was a large staircase to them and the very top tier. The top tier still had several houses, but it was a place that was off- limits to the general public.
“The empire, no not just the empire, but all of the kingdoms in Pagna, I imagine have been preparing for this day, for a fight against the warriors,” Cicle said, concerned. “If the war between Pagna warriors ever started and the warriors were united under one banner, no doubt they would expect us to try and take over at some point in time.”
“No matter how strong of a pact or rules, there would have always been that worry in the back of their mind.”
“Ha!” Impress laughed. “Have you not heard of all of the other reports, how none of the Pagna warriors have had any trouble or discovered such a thing? They have been lucky that we, who could have done this at any time, were being more content with ourselves.”
“I’m just saying, I don’t think anyone would be as foolish to think that no one would ever break the pact in their lifetime. If the rumors aren’t true, then they have to have prepared something else.”
The three stopped as they looked up the large staircase and saw the guards at the front. “Regardless, if either of you are right, it doesn’t stop us from what needs to be done,” Kawak answered as he ran up the stairs, and the same was done by the other two.
The guards quickly noticed what was happening, but it was too late. Like a flash, the three had disappeared in front of their eyes, and the swords were impaled into the side of their necks, passing through them like butter.
Pulling them out, they quickly looked for the next target, seeing them on rooftops, they split from their position and dashed forward, slicing down their opponents one by one. They were targeting only those guards that would cause a fuss.
Kawak then noticed that there were also those by the guard tower who had become privy to the scene in front of them. After taking out a guard on the rooftop, he quickly picked up a weapon from the floor and hurled it through the air, slicing right through two of the warriors before they reached the bell.
“Quick and to not cause a fuss, let’s get this over with!” Kawak said.
Instead of rushing through the front and going through the large number of guards, now with all of the patrolling guards taken care of, the three of them ran across the outside of the palace, using the small openings as footholds they could kick themselves off and reach certain places and positions that only an excellent climber could reach, and with much difficulty as well.
This was the clear difference between Pagna warriors and regular citizens. Right after, they had broken through a door that led them to the top floor of the manor.
“I still think we should have just burst into his room,” Impress declared. “Grabbed him right there and then and demanded him to hand everything over.”
“Right… but you do things like that, it causes anger, people rebel or try to fight back. If the emperor has already been killed before they realize it, then they will lose any will to even fight, and the image of the enemy in their minds is much bigger than they imagined.”
A long hallway led to the throne room, and several guards were stationed. Seeing the warriors, they started to fire an automatic bow that shot out several iron arrows at a fast speed right at them.
Impress stood in front of the others, deflecting the iron arrows, and she didn’t just deflect them in a random way. She had done so the iron arrows impaled their very own guards from even reaching them.
“What are these monsters… the warriors, are they far stronger than we imagined!” The man standing in front of the Emperor’s door said, holding onto the automatic iron arrow machine. He fired out two more arrows, and with it, Impress spun her body.
The flat part of her sword hit the arrow and deflected it right back, stabbing the man in the head, causing him to fall to the floor.
“You have been quite enthusiastic since the fall of your current elder,” Kawak said. “But we will need that type of spirit right now.”
Right in front of them was the door to the Emperor’s room. With this, they would have completed the task given to them by Alter. Kawak didn’t really know what Henio had planned to do, but right now it was important to just stay alive.

Chapter 1110: Result of the Pack Broken
It was finally time for them to enter, and instead of ruthlessly cutting down the door or bursting their way in, even Kawak had decided to push the door open, erring on the side of caution.
It opened with ease, swinging into the main throne room. A large, open, wide area with a red carpet that led all the way up to the throne itself. There, the man they were waiting for was sitting, his face resting on the side of his hand.
Next to him, two guards in almost pristine gold and silver armor, standing present.
“You guys are a bit slower than I imagined,” the young emperor said. “I had imagined you to just come crashing down into the ceiling and to be done with it.”
“I told you that was a good idea,” Impress complained. “Let’s just finish this.”
Impress went to charge forward, but Kawak held out his hand, stopping her. “Don’t be a fool, can’t you tell that he was expecting us this whole time, and yet even though we have eliminated a large amount of his guards, taken over countless high-ranking officials in cities all across the land, he still shows no fear.”
“I don’t like it,” Cicle added. “The air of arrogance around him, it really reminds me of him.”
When Cicle spoke, there was only one person he was referring to, a person that both of them knew very well. Which was what was worrying him more than ever, the air that surrounded this person.
“What, not what you were expecting with all the fuss you made? I knew you were coming; I have made some preparations for you, though?” The emperor stated, lifting his arm.
Mystical lights almost looked to appear, five of them in total, reaching out in front. The lights were blinding, along with the energy which caused all of them to flinch and look away. When they all could see again, now they could see five men standing there instead.
The men were all dressed slightly differently. All in types of cloth but arranged in a different style. Some of them had cloth tied around their waist, holding their clothing together. Some had what looked like leather belts, and others had strange pointed hats and large rounded ones as well.
It was a mixture of a group, but in particular, what was special about them was this radiating energy coming off their bodies. Allowing the warriors to almost see an outline around them, the energy itself was a giveaway to what they might just be.
“You…” Kawak said. “You are Divine warriors, you have descended down to Pagna!”
It had come as a surprise to Kawak for a number of reasons. When the clans were in trouble, no Divine warriors had come down during his era. He had never met one before. So why did they come now, because they were attacking the civilians?
Divine warriors were meant to be Pagna warriors, those that had taken the same path as them, so why were they siding with the civilians of all things?
“It seems one of you has figured it out,” a man in the center walked forward, his eyes looked completely white as if he was a blind man, yet powerful energy still surrounded him. “We are Divine warriors, having come from another realm.
“The pact has been broken. We are ashamed that warriors such as yourselves, after all of this time, would break the pact,” the man stated.
“Break the pact? The pact was already broken before by another, so why have you come down now instead!” Impress shouted.
The warriors looked at each other for a moment but didn’t exactly answer.
“Why are you protecting the civilians in the first place, just because of some promise? Aren’t you meant to be warriors like us!” Impress shouted; she was showing a lot of the frustration Pagna warriors felt during these times.
“You have no idea of what goes on in the Divine realm!” the man shouted. “The past of Pagna, what has been done for us, or why the world is set up the way it is, to create the Divine in the first place.”
“You wish to break everything with this. It will break everything, and it will all fall into turmoil. We are here to stop it before it does.”
Impress was constantly twisting her hand around the handle. They had completely avoided the question from before, of why they didn’t descend during the Dark Magus’s attack, what was different between what was happening now and what had happened back then.
What was with the favoritism? In the first place, she had always assumed if something was going to happen, then it would take place after they had eliminated the emperor, not like this, before he was even attacked.
“We will give you this chance now since you all seem to be powerful warriors on the path of the Divine,” the man said. “You are all to turn around; if not, you will have to face the five of us. You are outpowered and outmatched.”
Kawak was gritting his teeth. It was a situation he didn’t expect to happen. He thought, just like Cicle, that they might have some type of hidden secret, but not for other warriors to get in their way.
They couldn’t turn back; if they went back to Henio and said they had failed, then what would happen? If he asked for powerful items to help face them, he knew Henio would tell them that they were useless, that there was no longer the need for the help, and eliminate him on the
spot.
There was only one choice.
“You old fools have spent too much time in the Divine realm, not paying attention to what has been happening on the real Pagna,” Kawak said. “You should know that down here isn’t the same as when you are up there, your powers are limited here, so I can cut off your head just as easily as you can cut off mine!”
