Chapter 1111: One Of Them Is now Here (Part 1)

Kawak had no choice in the matter; he was already in a situation where he would have to fight regardless of who stood in his way. He was confident in his abilities at the same time, whether they were Divine warriors or not, they were at the top of Pagna currently.

Immediately, Kawak held the sword close to his chest, and a vibrant ring started to shine out; energy was expanding in a ring and stopping just one meter shy around him, constantly pulsating from his weapon.

A form of his visual Qi. Right after he was finished setting up his move, he ran forward and headed straight first into the attack.

“We can’t let him fight on his own, not when he’s so close!” Cicle claimed, readying his sword as well, and the Qi started to radiate even behind his body, until it almost looked like there was a glowing sun that was just above his head.

“But, those are Divine warriors, they have managed to reach a place that we can’t reach, can we beat them?” Impress asked.

“Unless the three of us try together, then we will have no chance. They won’t let you get away with what has already been done!” Cicle shouted from behind.

There was a large worry that was in Impress’s mind. She had seen a Divine warrior before, when searching for the Golden Globe, and she knew their power very well. It wasn’t something that they could match up to.

The Divine warriors continued to stand there, as the Qi rose from within, and the first blocked Kawak’s attack straight on. The pulsating energy from around him had flowed, hitting the warrior right after the strike, and it caused his feet to be pushed back.

“Our levels of Qi are not so different,” Kawak said. “If you are going to take this fight realistically by fighting one on one, then the situation will become far worse for you.”

Kawak jumped up and landed, hitting the sword of the Divine warrior again, and the pulsating energy around him struck, nearly hitting the others, causing them to draw their swords.

Cicle had come in; his sword was slightly longer and lighter compared to that of Kawak’s, but it was still a sword that he used with great skill. As he struck one of the other Divine warriors, The noticed his attack was stopped by a fan.

A female had spread out the fan in front of her, and then, twisting her arm, she deflected the attack, and as she went to strike in though, the large circle that was above Cicle’s head shined brightly, causing the small area directly in front of them to become almost invisible in the brightness.

It had startled the Divine warrior, and when she could see again, she had a large cut around her shoulder.

“As they said!” The Divine warrior claimed. “We should not underestimate them; these are the most talented from the Light Faction and the Illumination Clan.”

Again, Cicle came in to strike with his sword; the attack was blocked, but it didn’t matter. Because he was hoping on the Illumination Clan’s secret technique to pull through for him. The visual Qi shined bright behind him and blinded the area once again.

When he could see, he started to feel a stinging pain, though, and when he looked, it was across his own arm this time. Several marks made running up the side of it.

Cicle then quickly saw that the woman was constantly flinging her fan, and small shards of yellow Qi were coming out. He quickly raised his sword, deflecting the attacks.

“Ah right, right, you guys haven’t even managed to master projectile Qi yet, correct?” The woman smirked. “I see, it seems that you thought just because our Qi is limited down here in Pagna that you believe our skills and techniques were.”

“All of you are foolish,” another said, as they reached in and grabbed Kawak right by the shirt, he pulled down his front and kneed him right in the chest. The impact shook the entire area.

The Qi from the knee had even hit Cicle and Impress, who had decided to take a step forward but stopped for a moment.

The distraction was just enough time for another Divine warrior to get behind Cicle, and they kicked his leg from behind, causing him to fall to his knees, and immediately, the woman with the fan pointed it right at his neck.

Impress grunted, but she charged forward, knowing the situation wasn’t looking in their favor. Her sword clashed with another swordsman, their techniques looking to match, until another one joined the fight and knocked the sword out of her hand, flinging it until it was stuck in the wall by the side.

With no weapon, she had no hopes to win the fight just using her fists, and she ultimately fell to her knees as well, deciding that this was as far as she could go.

Just like that, all three of them had been defeated and were out of the fight.

“I have to admit you guys were strong,” the original Divine warrior who spoke said. “But, we are from clans that might have long been lost in Pagna. You don’t understand our techniques, and you were outnumbered as well.”

“There are a large number of us in the Divine realm that can deal with you, but as you can see, you three were the strongest that Pagna had to offer in your faction, correct? This is why no one should break the pact, and I’m afraid, you must be made an example of, so no more people will try to break the pact again.”

“Huh?” A voice from behind said.

It was loud and bullish, spoken at a certain point. Kawak was confused as only three of them had come, so he wondered why someone’s voice would be heard from behind.

“So you guys are the first clean-up job I have since coming here,” the man said, standing by the very end of the door. He had a strange blazer on which was long, stretching out sharp at the end, its tips folded.

The man was wearing mainly white with red accents and trims on all of his clothing.

“So if it’s something new, you don’t know how to deal with it, right? So let’s see you deal with this,” Enaxx said, raising his hand and condensing a large magic fireball.

Chapter 1112: One Of Them Is now Here (Part 2)

As soon as Alter had gotten their hands on the Golden Globe, they had been testing its uses and how to fully utilize the item itself. The only people that knew were those from the Bonum Society who were in direct opposition to Alter.

Still, due to the vast amount of item collecting they had over the years, they had figured out various methods on how to test certain items, so it would only be a particular amount of time until they were successful.

During the short amount of time they had the item, they had managed to have somewhat of a success. As long as they were in another dimension, the portal could be used, and if a member was present of that otherworld, they could open a small portal to that otherworld just long enough for a single individual to get through.

With this breakthrough in mind, Henio, through their methods, had made contact with Alterian, and he had asked the grand question. If they could only send one individual through for now, who was it that they would want to send?

Opening the portal, they could only do so once in a while. How long until the item appeared to recharge itself, or when they knew it would recharge, they weren’t so sure just yet. Everything was based on estimates since they didn’t want to test it out and then wait a long period of time until they could use the items again.

In Alterian itself, Enaxx had entered the office of Idore. He was staring out the glass, looking at the entire view of Alterian from it. A 360 panoramic view, and since it was the tallest building in the city, no one had better access to such a place.

“So you want me to go to that Pagna?” Enaxx said. “Why me of all people?”

“Because, there are multiple developments that are going on. You know the ultimate goal for me,” Idore explained. “It’s something that I have to succeed in. Besides, I’m surprised you have gotten quite brave, to question me?”

The moment Idore said that, Enaxx took a step back. “No, it’s fine, I was just asking, you know, what my role is in all of this, and what you actually directly want me to do, you know, so I have a bigger understanding of things.”

“I want you to deal with this person who names himself the Dark Magus there!” Idore said. “Work with Alter, and find out who he is; if he won’t speak, then just get rid of the mess. There are too many things happening when we are so close at reaching what is needed, oh and Enaxx, if you fail, unless you’re dead, don’t bother coming back.”

Right now, Enaxx was standing in the throne room, with the Divine warriors and the Light Faction leaders who had fallen to their knees.

“Alright, alright, since you guys are the ones I need to deal with, and since I’m meant to be working with them, can you step away?” Enaxx politely asked, with his hands open.

One of the Divine warriors who weren’t standing next to the leaders jumped toward Enaxx.

“Hey, do you guys really think I will let any of you get close to me?” Enaxx said, as the small fireball in his hand moved and erupted into a fiery spectacle. It shifted, grew in size, and completely engulfed the attacker in front of him.

Using his weapon, he swung his sword and his Qi, fighting out of the flames left and right. The Qi with the weapon was breaking the fire apart, but Enaxx, seeing this, just started to swing his arms more and more, adding more of the flames to the area.

Until the man’s body was eventually engulfed in flames as well. His body was set alight, and the Qi he was using was unable to keep up.

“We have to help him!” The Divine female stated as she rushed ahead, and so did the four others, leaving the leaders behind; they knew who the troublesome person was.

“Ah, you think I would just stand here?” Enaxx claimed as he shifted his feet, and the ground beneath them started to move. Large walls were appearing in front of them. They were confused by what was happening and were worried what to do, how to strike forward, and then the walls fell down, and they could see a warrior having been burnt to a crisp on the floor.

“This is our enemy, these are the ones that we need to be worried about?” Enaxx said. “But it was so easy.”

“Our enemy?” One of the Divine warriors claimed. “We have no idea who you are, or the strange powers that you are using. How can you even call us your enemy?”

Enaxx started to laugh as he lifted his head to the sky. “It’s quite clear that you Divine warriors have no idea about the grand scheme of things. Why the world is split in two, why when you become a Divine warrior, you’re separated into another realm in the first place. You think it’s someplace special for you all… it makes me laugh, it seriously does.”

“Anyway, it doesn’t matter, right now my job is to finish you all.”

Kawak was watching things carefully; when visiting Alter, he had seen those that could use these types of powers before. It wasn’t a first, but for someone so confident and powerful in using them, against those that could best them like this.

Who was this man that Alter had sent? It was a man that had the power to clearly change Alter, and why didn’t they have him appear before to deal with the troublesome Dark Magus if they always had him?

“I think we should make things a little fair, there are four of you, so let’s make sure there are four of me?” Enaxx said as exact copies of himself started to split and walk off from his body, standing in a line, until there were four Enaxxs.

****

Chapter 1113: Strength Of The Grand Magus

When they saw Enaxx make four copies of himself, the first thought they had was it had to be some type of illusion. The warriors had heard of techniques that had been used that would allow a person to appear as if they had copied themselves.

Maybe if an individual had a vast amount of Qi, they could create clone-like afterimages with their visual Qi. However, with both of these things, it would happen during a technique with much movement, and maybe the image in front of them wouldn’t be as fluid.

Yet, each of the copies of Enaxx were moving of their own free will. They even stood with different gestures and different actions, and there wasn’t even a break in their body.

“Oh, are you being polite, or did you want us to attack first?” Enaxx said as he waved his hand, and a sharp wind strike went through the air.

Immediately, one of the warriors swung their swords, cutting right through the magic and breaking it with their Qi.

“You… are underestimating us far too much!” The warrior shouted. “We of the Divine realm have spent years honing our skills and our strength. We have most likely lived multiple of your lifetimes, boy.”

“Yeah, yeah, it’s the old ones that always talk like this!” Enaxx said, lifting both of his hands, and straight out of it, two large vortexes came out, heading straight for the warrior.

At the same time, all of the other clones started to attack with their own magic, and they were using various different magics. Some displaying ice-like powers, throwing shards out, freezing the floor, and creating large objects to attack with.

Others using Lightning, Fire, and Earth. The basic types of magic at a high level. It was overwhelming for the warriors.

Impress, Cicle, and Kawak had used this chance to move off to the side. If they had stayed where they were, there was no doubt that they would be caught up in the mess that was happening.

They were already badly hurt as it was, and it wasn’t as if their interference would actually amount to anything in the first place.

“Do you know who this man is?” Cicle asked.

Kawak shook his head. “I have no idea, but I can assume it’s help sent from Alter.”

“That group again,” Impress replied. “They seem to have quite the powerful people in them. It’s no wonder you wanted to align yourself with them.”

Impress was thinking back to the strength of Red that she had seen as well, which made her think about the other Divine warrior she had seen.

‘The other Divine warrior’s power was far greater, there must have been a reason for that? Was he not limited to the restrictions like these ones are… or is it just that this mysterious person is so strong that he is making it appear as if the Divine warriors are weak.’

After a few minutes, the devastation had come to an end. The throne room was a mess, with various parts of it destroyed, the ground having burnt marks in areas, but there was also the blood of the Divine warriors splattered across the floor.

The battle was over, and not a single one of the Enaxx’s clones were defeated. Some had received a cut on their arm here or there, but they didn’t look like serious wounds.

Right now, Enaxx had his foot stood on top of one of the Divine warrior’s throats. “Superior bodies, extreme strength, and techniques that would put all of our Magic swordsmen to shame. It seems that the rumors about you guys were greatly exaggerated. I was told to be careful with you guys, and in the end, this is the result?”

The man on the ground continued to grunt as he looked at Enaxx. “You should be lucky…” The divine warrior stated. “That we are not in the other realm, or this fight would be a different story altogether.”

“Oh, don’t worry about that, you should worry about the situation you are in right now?” As Enaxx said these words, the other clones started to walk towards him and ventured back into his body, morphing into one individual. Right after, Enaxx’s foot started to light in a flame, continued to burn until his foot had sunk right through the Divine warrior’s neck, finishing the last of them.

“Is that it then, is it all done and over with like that?” Enaxx said. “For my first appearance, I thought it would be more spectacular, or at least a little difficult, but it seems I might have underestimated myself.”

Enaxx felt like he had actually contained himself. If he had gone wilder with the large-scale spells he had used, then the top of the palace wouldn’t be present, and they would all be looking at the sky right now.

“Is it over now?” Cicle asked. “The Divine warriors, they have been beaten, right? The threat is gone.”

“Not quite,” Kawak answered. “There is still one person that needs to be dealt with. The person the Divine warriors came to protect in the first place.”

Kawak was worried for a multitude of reasons. How many Divine warriors were involved in the pact between the civilians and warriors? Did they really expect just five divine warriors to deal with a full-on scale war if it was to take place?

With the death of the other Divine warriors, Kawak was expecting even more would come down, but if they were able to witness what had just happened, then maybe there was a reason why they hadn’t sent more down.

Knowing full well that it would be useless. That somehow, there were now those stronger on Pagna than the Divine realm warriors were, as long as they were limited, they could do nothing.

Most of all, though, what Kawak didn’t like was the confident look on the Emperor’s face, as he stayed in the same position the entire time the warriors had been defeated.

Chapter 1114: The Emperor’s Stare

The Emperor of the empire located in the Light Faction. Who was in charge of several of the cities, villages, land, and government across the land. The empire that had changed the lives for many of the Light Faction, he was seen as a good person to the people.

However, only the older ones remembered the bloodshed that had occurred in order to get it to this point. In order for the lands to be united under one. It was a throne that was inherited, but the task was not complete, and only the current emperor had completed the task in the end to get it to the state as it was today.

Kawak hadn’t had too many dealings with the current Emperor, but whenever he did meet him, there was always this overwhelming confidence in the air, that made it so Kawak didn’t want to get involved, and that confidence stayed with the individual right now.

“I thought you would be begging for your life right now?” Enaxx said. “I guess you think because you are not like them, that you’re not a warrior that I won’t do anything.” Enaxx shrugged his shoulders.

“Unfortunately for you, I don’t have good news. I was under orders to help this group of people called Alter, you see, and well, they sent me to clean up this mess. It was almost as if they knew them over there wouldn’t be good enough to deal with the situation.”

Kawak and Cicle had gotten their answer. Enaxx had been sent from Alter, but to realize that it was Henio that had sent him, believing that they would fail. It made Kawak slightly worried, what would the situation be.

Even if they took out the Emperor now, would they consider what had happened as a complete failure? What would Henio do to the both of them now.

“I’m telling you, it’s my job to get rid of those that are in the way of Alter, and you are in the way of Alter,” Enaxx claimed as he lifted his hand and swung it through the air.

It was a wind slice, a sharp magical sharpened blade of wind, that when reaching an opponent would slice their head off. It was mostly invisible and was traveling at a speed that regular citizens couldn’t deal with.

Although the Emperor may have been an individual that had confidence, strength, and ability to lead, he was just a regular human at the end of the day.

The wind attack then slashed and cut the throne, causing the top half of it to fall, and Enaxx smiled, expecting the Emperor’s head to fall, but it never did. Instead, the Emperor finally stood up from his seat.

“What the?” Enaxx said. Immediately, he started to swing his hands one after the other.

Wind blades left them several times, and they looked to hit the Emperor’s body. When they did, though, the attacks would practically go through him and attack the walls and hit the structure of the room rather than the emperor. It was almost as if the attacks were phasing through his body.

“Alright, time to burn you instead then!” Enaxx shouted as he fired out a fireball.

When this was about to hit the Emperor, he lifted his hand, and a ball of water started to gather. He fired it out, crashing it into the fireball, and mist and steam had quickly entered the room.

“That’s enough,” the Emperor said. “I think everything has played out as long as it should have.”

Enaxx was confused as he saw what had just been used. There was no doubt about it, it was water that had come out of the Emperor’s hand, but not just any water. It was magic.

“You can use magic, are you from Alterian?” Enaxx asked. “Even if you are a mage, that won’t help you against me.”

“You might be right about that,” the Emperor said as he lifted his hand to touch his face. “But, I was the one that ordered you to come here in the first place.”

After touching his face, the emperor had pulled off what looked like a strange wooden mask. It was rigid with slits and sockets for eyes. When pulled away from the face, the entire Emperor’s face was changing, along with his soft hair color and other features of his body.

It was as if an entirely new person was standing there. The moment they saw who it was, both of Cicle’s and Kawak’s hearts sank into the pit of their stomachs, and they immediately threw their head down to the ground.

“It’s you!” Kawak said.

“What is going on?” Enaxx asked.

“Don’t worry too much about the details,” the man said.

As Kawak and Cicle lifted their heads, they wondered. Why, why was it that the leader of Alter was standing right in front of them? Why was Henio in the Emperor’s seat?

“I ordered you to come here, to help these defeat the Divine warriors,” Henio asked. “It wasn’t so much a test for you but a test for them. I wanted to see how far they would go for the sake of Alter.”

“I see… things are making some sense now,” Enaxx grunted. “I don’t like how I was used, but I guess you had your reasons. But then what of the real Emperor of this place. Did you get rid of him before I arrived?”

“No,” Henio replied. “I have obtained this position long ago. I have been in charge of the empire for an incredibly long time. The length and power of Alter is further than any of you could have imagined.”

“As for this mask here, it’s a special artifact that we have. It allows an individual to change into any person they want to be. As long as the wearer has seen them once before. With this, there can be quite the disturbance in the world of Pagna.”

Chapter 1115  Breakthrough Items

Using every fiber of his Qi energy and using every detail of his magic, cramming in knowledge from the past, Raze was busy enhancing the items. It wasn’t as simple as just enchanting such things.

In order for the highest chance of success, he needed to find items that had a large affinity to magic. On top of that, he was limited in the number of power stones he had as well. So there were times where he would be spent just bashing two lower-tiered power stones to make a higher one.

Then repeating the process to get even higher-grade power stones. However, he noticed that using his Qi on certain weapons, and in particular ways, he was having a better chance at creating better weapons.

He had learned this the last few times he had created enchanted items. This allowed him to create good quality and high-grade items, but the last part, how powerful the curse would allow the item to go, that was down to luck.

What Raze was hoping for while making the items as well, was no sealed items. Although they could turn into powerful things, they just didn’t have the time for that. In the end, Raze was successful.

‘That took me an entire day and a half, but I managed to create a large variety of weapons, but in total six cursed weapons,’ Raze smiled at himself as he had laid them out in front of him.

Dame, Anna, Beatrix. Three of the items would be handed to them. When it came to artifacts and tools, they were the weakest out of the group. It would give them more variety in their attacking power.

Then from the Crimson Crane, as promised, there was Lily, who was a spear user, Alba with her dual blades, and Cronker with his brigade of assassins he had at his disposal as well.

‘I wasn’t able to make him daggers, but I think the item he can utilize it with his Dark Hand group, and they might be a large key to winning this whole thing.’

All in all, Raze had managed to make 2 mythical-ranked items and 4 legendary-ranked items; anything less than mythical, and it wouldn’t have been worth all of the hard work he went through in Alterian.

‘Unfortunately, there were no god-tier ranked items. I have no doubt that there will be those in Alter that also have god-tier items at their disposal,’ Raze thought. He was imagining it, items as powerful as the Golden Globe, items that had the same type of power to allow one to traverse to other realms and worlds.

This fight wasn’t going to be an easy one, and it was why he needed as much help as he could get.

‘The more I think about it, the less choice I have, I will have to enchant this blazer that was gifted to me by Sabrina. To increase its effects, I will have to use my Dark magic, and perhaps even curse it.’

‘In order to keep the current effects and the strength of the Light magic used, I will need to use someone who is well versed in Light magic.’

Safa had come to Raze’s mind. With her recent increase in power due to her events with the Rylon religion, she might just have enough strength. If what the blooded woman said was correct, she would have even more strength.

This meant that Raze would finally have to leave his makeshift base and head above. It hadn’t been that long, and the funeral still hadn’t started, so he still had time and was thankful for that.

‘There’s just one more thing I want to check out before I go up.’

Raze sprinkled his hand above his workbench, and the three strange pen sticks that had been given to him by Alen had appeared.

‘These items are able to force a breakthrough. Created by one of the Grand Magus. Such items didn’t exist when I was in Alterian, or at least someone like me wasn’t able to get my hands on them… but I feel like I should inspect them a bit, see if I can find something out.’

Raze wanted to study the substance inside the magical devices; it might mean he needed to break one, and it would be unusable, but there was a chance if he figured out how it was used that he could create more.

‘Even if the length of use is halved each time one uses it, if I can multiply these, then it wouldn’t matter.’

Raze would soon realize how foolish those words were. With these types of medical devices, like everything, there were always side effects.

As Raze investigated the object, he used all types of magic to react with it. To try to get a hand on the materials that were embedded into the inhaling device. There was one thing he was reluctant to try. He thought it was useless.

But there was something nagging at the back of his mind to give it a try. In the end, he had decided to use his Dark magic. The item had caused a reaction, and the reaction to his magic meant one thing.

‘These items are made with Dark Magic… how is that possible?’ Raze thought.

The only way to make an item with Dark magic was to use Dark magic itself, and that meant one more thing, that these items were cursed. Thankfully, with being made out of Dark magic, Raze could gather the details of such items, and when he found out the results, his mouth was left wide open.

‘So taking these pills, although it will force a breakthrough, it will take half of your lifespan? I’m guessing it’s each time, and now it makes sense why the breakthrough time is halved as well. I doubt Alen knew about this.’

‘But does this mean someone among the Grand Magus can also use Dark Magic?’

It wasn’t out of the realm of possibilities, especially since Raze found out that someone had taken the items from his vault in the academy. When he had sealed it so it could only be opened with Dark magic.

Report chapter Comments

Finding out the truth of the special devices didn’t mean Raze was just going to throw them away. It just meant he would be more careful when using them. Everyone was using cursed items, which hindered them in one way or another.

Yet for him to not do the same, to not have that level of risk when there were so many that were going to die?

’I already ruined one life before in the pursuit of all of this. It looks like I might have to ruin another one. I have sacrificed too much to just stop here. I was prepared to die long ago, to get what I want, I won’t stop now.’

Figuring out the inhaling devices, Raze kept them in his blazer as he was ready to exit back out to the top. Walking to the front, Raze froze the water as he made his way to the top as before.

From the lake, one would see a white-haired man appear. Very few people who were stood at the side of the lake witnessed what had occurred, but they couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing.

It didn’t take them long to notice that it was the Dark Magus, though, and when he finally made it land, the others quickly bowed as they saw the Dark Magus.

“Have any of you seen members of the Crimson Crane lately?” Raze asked.

“I believe some of them are in the local park at this time of day. If not, then you can always head to the town hall, at least one of them will be there,” one of the townspeople said.

Rather than wasting time, Raze had decided to head to the town hall. When he arrived, the Mayor Yarlston was there as usual, and with him there was Fixteen. Although none of the Crimson Crane members were there, Fixteen said he could get a hold of them very quickly.

While Fixteen was gathering the Crimson Crane members, in the town hall Raze did run into one individual before the others, and that was Beatrix.

“Oh, you’re here, I kept hearing so many people were looking for you, but no one had any idea where you went,” Beatrix said.

Currently, Raze was in one of the reception rooms of sorts. It was a place where guests and visitors would be introduced for drinks and beverages that came from other towns and cities.

Beatrix had been staying at the town hall as there wasn’t a place of her own, and there was no one she really got on with. She felt like she was stuck here due to her situation. The town hall was nice enough, though Yarlston treated her well, and the rooms were well decorated.

“Right, I have been busy with a few things; as you know, there is quite a lot that we need to prepare for,” Raze answered.

Beatrix nodded; now that she was alone with Raze, she thought that this was her chance to cash in one of the favors that Raze said.

“I know you have done quite a lot, letting me stay here and such, but I remember you speaking about a favor before, right? I was wondering, would you be able to make me one of your infamous Dark Magus weapons?” Beatrix asked.

She had realized not only were the weapons and Qi pills that Raze made truly spectacular, but it was also because of them she had lost her first bout against Dame all that time ago. With it, then maybe she had a chance to get her payback on Impress.

“Oh, that’s what you wish to ask for, well you’re in luck, as I have created something quite spectacular for you… although it’s up to you if you wish to use it. Although powerful, there is a downside to it.”

From his hands, Dark magic started to swirl, and right before her eyes, an illuminating light blue colored sword with flowing runes up and down the shaft had appeared.

“This is for me?” Beatrix said.

Before Raze handed it over, he made sure to inform her of the curse that it would hold, and then it was up to her if she wished to use it or not. Enjoy new chapters from NovelBin.Côm

After telling her the details, Beatrix was filled with mixed feelings. She never knew that the weapons the Dark Magus made had such downsides to them, but at the same time, she was in awe of its power.

Regardless, she would accept the weapon because it was needed for who they were going up against. Right on cue as well, the members of the Crimson Crane who were also there to receive their items, along with Anna and Dame, had all entered the room.

“I’ve heard you have quite the good news for us!” Alba said loudly. “It’s been a long time. I’ve been waiting for something as spectacular as the others.”

In the room, Raze had handed each of the items to the others, and he explained what they could do. Everyone was ecstatic as they heard the news. They were just as powerful, if not even more powerful, than the items that had been used before.

Yet, they all did come with their warning similar to the items that were given out before.

“Right, we need to be careful, even though some of these things sound simple, they can have an incredibly large effect,” Alba added. “Froma, she hasn’t been the same person since she used these items, but I understand that it was used due to the nature of the situation we are going through.”

“If we’re taking a shortcut to catch up to Alter and the Light Faction, then this is just the price that we will have to pay.”

If there was one thing they were sure about, they were now a lot more confident in their fight against Alter.

“Ah right, Raze, I almost forgot, Charlotte, she wants you to meet someone, apparently there is a person from Alterian that arrived recently,” Alba explained.

How long had it been since Raze himself had entered the world of Pagna? It had to have been now close to a year since he had transported himself into a new body.

The thing was, unlike other otherworlders that arrived here, Raze’s entrance was different to them.

It was only later he had found out about the portals breaking in from the other places, and how those from Alterian were trying to break into Pagna for one reason or another.

The reason itself Raze didn’t know, but he imagined the meddling in other dimensions was a large cause to the issues that were occurring.

During his time here, he had forgotten about otherworlders; surely during his time here, there would be others that arrived.

There would be those that were even from Alterian, and he had even heard from a little black cat that one of those individuals he had contact with might have gone missing as well.

“Someone from Alterian wants to meet me?” Raze repeated.

“Correct, she seems to have recently come here, Charlotte has been looking after her. It’s good we managed to get to her when we did, otherwise I have no clue what might have happened,” Alba added. “In order to settle her down, Charlotte thought it might be nice for her to meet with a few others.”

“I believe Marcus might be going to meet her as well, and bring another mage with him to see if she’s okay, but if you have time, you should visit her.”

Marcus was one of the only squad leaders from Alterian that were spared in the great annihilation.

This was due to their pleasant relationship with Himmy’s squad in the past. They had a mission set out in the Dark Faction, but Anna had given orders to look out for them.

Judging how they had even helped Raze in the past, she knew he would be fine with it as well.

In all honesty, Raze didn’t want to meet this individual from Alterian. It wasn’t as if he knew anyone who he would want to meet, even if they did come over.

There were also other more important matters to attend to in his mind, like going to the Bonum Society and talking to Amir about the Golden Globe.

Yet there was this nagging feeling at the back of his mind, what if the person who had arrived… what if it was really her.

_ _ _ _

“Wow, that’s pretty amazing!” Aurora said with a smile. “So a mage was really able to do all of that since they arrived. This Raze person must be quite impressive then!”

Charlotte had been staying with Aurora in the town hall guest rooms for quite some time, telling her the tales of the current leader.

The battles that he had been through, among the strength of the warriors as well.

Aurora was hanging to every word like it was some type of fairy tale. People who could destroy metal structures with their fists.

Or those strong enough to cause the entire land to shake in the city with the powers of their body alone?

There was some pride felt learning that a mage who was stuck in the same situation as her was able to do so much in the land.

As for the goal, in order to find a way back.

There were some things where Charlotte had steered away from the truth. Where she didn’t think it mattered for Aurora to know just yet.

Because she imagined if she was in her shoes, it would be such a shock, she couldn’t even begin to predict how the other would act.

On top of that, she could only really talk about things and scenarios that she had heard, as not all of them were ones that she had witnessed herself.

“If they were such a powerful mage, surely I should have heard of them before, right? You said that they came here around a year ago. But I don’t remember anyone really noteworthy disappearing like me at that time.”

Aurora started to raise an eyebrow at her own question as she was coming to realize she didn’t hear about anyone disappearing.

Yet here she was talking to another mage and learning there were others. Why hadn’t such things appeared on the news or large guilds running such investigations looking into things.

“He wasn’t that strong when he first arrived here. He was only a two-star mage,” Charlotte explained.

This was also the truth Charlotte tempered; when her skills had exceeded Raze’s, she should have known it from back then.

When he had helped her with combination magic in order to produce a more powerful spell, that he was a person that had knowledge beyond what she knew.

“Wow, he must be a really talented mage, but the name Raze, it gives me the shivers a bit…” Aurora said as she wrapped her arms around herself.

She was still lying in the bed she hadn’t gotten out of, worried partly to see this new world she was in.

She wanted to stay here where it was safe.

“Right, the name…” Charlotte answered, knowing full well why it would strike some type of fear into her.

Just then, a knock was heard at the door. Charlotte was thankful for the timing of things, saving her from the situation.

“Right, I asked for more people from Alterian to join us to make you feel more comfortable,” Charlotte explained. “No one knows where Raze is; he’s quite the busy person, so I don’t know when you’ll get to meet him.”

Heading to the door, Charlotte pulled it open, and to her surprise, the young white-haired man was standing in front of her.

“I’m sorry I am difficult for you to find at times,” Raze said with a smile as he stepped in past her. “I heard that there was someone from Alterian who had arrived.”

Turning his head, Raze’s worst fears had come true as he locked eyes with the individual.

“Jake?” Aurora said. “Jake!”
