The moment the two saw each other, it was instant recognition for Aurora. There was no doubt in her mind; the moment she had seen the person at the academy, it was burned into her mind.

It had somewhat become an obsession for her, and in her free time, his image would appear. It also didn’t help that only recently one of the few people that she had run into was the so-called “Jake.” Seeing him by surprise, she just had to blurt out his name and believed that she might just be in a dream again.

“Jake?” Charlotte said, turning her head back towards the two of them. The way they were staring at each other, it was as if they had known each other.

“Wait, that’s not..”

“Jake!” Aurora called out again, and she had sprung up from the bed and rushed over by his side to get a closer look. She didn’t come in for a hug or anything like that but was staring up as she admired his pretty face.

“She finally got out of bed, I knew he was good at magic, but not this good,” Charlotte sulked.

“What happened to you, why are you here right now?” Aurora asked. “I know, did you get sucked into that magic portal thing as well. You were at the house when it happened, right?”

“That must be it, both of us have been charted away to this place, but don’t worry, I’m an expert here, I can help you out and make sure you’re okay, we can get through this together!”

She said as she turned around, her nostrils were flaring from the excitement, and she needed to calm herself down.

“Wait!” She said, turning around. “If you’re here, does that mean my brother is here as well? Did he come here with you, maybe we all got sucked in. Maybe it was that black cat, that damned cat, I knew they were bad luck or something and look what happened to us.”

Aurora was speaking on and on, not even giving Raze a chance to speak or try and clear up this misunderstanding, and Charlotte was unable to follow any of it.

“So, does she know you, Raze?” Charlotte eventually asked. Those words had cut through the chatter like a knife, making Aurora stop instantly.Pubfuture Ads

She had continued to hear that name from Charlotte’s mouth, and for her to call this person by the same name.

“Raze… no that can’t be right, this is not Raze, this is Jake, you’re Kelly’s brother, right? There can’t be someone that looks exactly like you down to the very last cell!”

It was eventually going to come out anyway, so Raze thought that he should get it over and done with.

“Aurora, you are right, I am Jake… the person that you met in Alterian,” Raze explained. “But that is not my real name, I am Raze, and that is who I am here, in Pagna. I know things must be shocking for you, and I’ll try to give the best explanation I can.”

Aurora naturally took a step back, almost like she was about to faint.

“It’s true that I am stuck in this world like you, and it happened in a similar way,” Raze lied. “But I have been here for a long time, almost a year. I’m afraid that your brother isn’t here, at least not that I know of.”

“Wait, but how can that be?” Aurora asked. “I saw you just like yesterday, that’s impossible… unless you know a way to get to Alterian and back!”

This was news to Charlotte, and she was even confused by this. How were the two able to meet? It was clear that Raze didn’t know a way back; if he did, he wouldn’t have been so hung up on trying to get the Golden Globe.

“What you saw in Alterian is part of my unique magical trait,” Raze lied again. For one, it was a technique that used partly Dark magic, and secondly, it wasn’t something he wanted in the hands of others to use or for it to be spread. “I can use my magic to create a magical body on the other end.”

“The time I can spend there is limited because of this, and that’s when I saw you and your brother. I’ve been trying to use this skill to do my best to help us with the situation that we are in right now.”

Aurora sat back down on the edge of the bed. Her hopes of seeing her brother, of a way of getting back, they were somewhat dashed, but only had risen slightly and for only a slight moment, so it wasn’t too shocking.

“I am doing everything in my power to find a way back,” Raze said. “We currently have a lead, and you don’t have to get involved. I think it’s best if you just rest here when you can, and when I find a way, I will inform you.”

As long as the Golden Globe could be used multiple times, then Raze was happy to send people to places they wanted to go, as long as he got what he wanted in the end.

He didn’t know why, but he also felt somewhat partly responsible for what had happened to Aurora.

With all that said and done, Raze decided that he needed to leave; he wanted to find Safa to upgrade his Blazer, so there wasn’t much for him to spend, and he had left the two of them alone.

“I can’t believe it… what a crazy set of events,” Aurora thought.

“Are you finally ready to leave, we can’t just stay here forever, like Raze said, we should spend our time and move.”

For once, Aurora agreed as she stood up and followed Charlotte’s lead. First, they had visited those that were currently present in the town hall.

The Mayor, Fixteen, and she was introduced to them. They weren’t going to leave the place just yet, as she was also waiting for the other Mage to come eventually.

Instead, they decided to head to one of the reception rooms, and here they could see Alba with the rest of the Crimson Crane, looking and playing with various items in their hands.

“Oh, you’re here!” Alba said. Continue your journey with My Virtual Library Empire

“Ah, is that the girl you were talking about before?” Tilon asked, holding onto his shield with a grin. “How was it, did you meet the Dark Magus then?”

“Dark… Magus?” Aurora replied.

When Aurora had heard the name Raze, it had reminded her of one person. There was an infamous old man that would be pictured in anyone’s head when the name was used. Due to the person’s name and who it was attached to, most in Alterian that had the name decided to change it, believing that it might bring bad superstitions and luck to their family.

The name Raze Cromwell. When hearing the name, Aurora originally thought it wasn’t too strange. Not everyone did change their name, only the very frantic, or those cautious it might cause issues to their kids at school.

On top of that, she still hadn’t quite made the relation that those in Pagna were from Alterian. Lastly, there was one more thing; seeing Raze, she knew him as Jake, and that was the only name she knew.

Jake wasn’t the Dark Magus, at least not the Dark Magus that was plastered all over Alterian, that was an old wrinkly man. Yet Jake was a young, handsome man; she didn’t put two and two together.

“Dark Magus… why are you saying that name, I’ve never met the Dark Magus before!” Aurora quickly snapped back. “That’s such a sick thing to say.”

Tilon looked at his other clan members for a moment, wondering what that reaction was for. They were sure she had met Raze, and that was the Dark Magus that they all knew.

“Did… he not tell her everything?” Alba asked.

The Crimson Crane were close enough to know Raze. He had mentioned a few things here and there, about how he was a wanted man in Alterian, how he wasn’t a good person, and about his goals in taking down the Grand Magus.

To be honest, though, for Pagna warriors, a lot of what Raze did was the norm of most Clan Heads when trying to reach the top. Attacking anyone who got in their way for their goal. It was just the whole world had joined against Raze, so he had no choice to harm those that might have been less deserving of it as a whole.

“I thought he might have brought it up, but he seemed to be a little busier than others,” Charlotte said with a sigh.

“What… what’s the big deal?” Cronker said. “That Raze is the Dark Magus. Is it really a problem in Alterian.”

“You shouldn’t use those two names together!” Aurora snapped back once again. “I don’t know why you keep on saying that, but that man, Raze here is not the Dark Magus. If you know the things he did, the terror he caused the entire of Alterian, you wouldn’t be saying things so badly.”

“You know, I think this might be the first time I’ve seen someone from Alterian act this way when hearing his name,” Kizer said. “What exactly was it that Raze did that was so bad in Alterian, I mean this Dark Magus.”

Aurora’s body was still shaking as she remembered the news, the reports, and the words of others each day. It was hammered into her that the Dark Magus was nothing but evil.

“In the first place, the Dark Magus has his name because he uses Dark Magic. A magic whose basis is that of death. In order to grow stronger, the only way is to take life. Anyone who decides to go down this path already has something wrong with them.”

Again, this didn’t seem like that much of a big deal to the warriors in the Crimson Crane. When becoming a warrior, it was about loss and taking. At some point, it had to happen, and each of them had taken many lives during the battles they faced.

“He would take out entire guilds, annihilating them just because they went against his morals. He attacked the Central Mage Academy, filled with students who were only learning magic to better their lives.”

“He would kill those on the streets, destroy factories and more. Rather than saying what he did do, it would be easier to say what hasn’t he done. He was against the whole of Alterian, and everyone had to live life in fear because of him!” Aurora had shouted all of those words that she was almost out of breath.

It was quite clear that she was trying to convince the others from her words, but the more that she saw next to no reaction from them, the more she started to shout.

“I just don’t think Raze is that bad, based on everything he’s done here for us. I mean, I guess to the Light Faction maybe they would view him this way as well. An ally to one is an enemy to another,” Lily said with a smile.

Aurora lifted her arms to her head and almost pulled them out. “That’s what I’m trying to say, you can’t compare that Raze Cromwell, the Dark Magus, to this one! He was an enemy to everyone, and an ally to no one!”

The reaction that Aurora had right now, the only person in the room that could understand it was Charlotte. It was hard to explain the years they had spent living during the period of the Dark Magus.

Everyone was truly afraid anywhere they went that he would appear. Her reaction was the typical one, and if it wasn’t for the fact that she had followed Raze’s journey in Pagna, then maybe she would feel the same way.

“Maybe Raze has changed a bit from the time he was in Alterian,” Alba said. “He seems to have even changed a lot since when we first met him.”

“Yeah, he does still give me the creeps sometimes, though,” Tilon added.

“Charlotte, these people aren’t understanding,” Aurora said, turning to the only person that made her feel sane in this room. “What is going on, why is the Raze, or Jake using the Dark Magus’s name here, there must be a reason, right.”

Charlotte thought about what to say for a while, until she eventually sighed and gave an answer.

“It’s because… the Raze here, the Raze Cromwell, really is the same Dark Magus that we know,” Charlotte explained.

Charlotte knew how unbelievable her words sounded. She wouldn’t have believed it herself despite what they knew about magic, but the thing which allowed them to believe such things was magic and the fact that they were in another world.

To those in Pagna, magic was something they wouldn’t be able to just believe, but great artifacts from other dimensions did things that were beyond their imagination. Just like magic was to Pagna warriors.

The fact they were here, they had to believe that anything was possible, including that when Raze had moved over here, he had moved over into a body of another.

So stunned by what she had been hearing, Aurora had to take a seat on the sofa. The other Crimson Crane members moved away, believing they needed to give her some space. Your adventure continues at My Virtual Library Empire

“Is she going to be okay?” Lily asked.

“It’s just a shock to her, but everything I said is the truth,” Charlotte claimed, after explaining what had really happened to Raze. “Honestly, you can believe the rest of it yourself or not, but Raze claims that Alterian is really sick.”

“A lot of what is happening on Pagna right now, even with you being sent here, it’s all linked to the Grand Magus. Due to their position in Alterian, they can cover up anything. Raze isn’t some saint.”

“He wasn’t going after the Grand Magus in hopes to help the people, or to fix Alterian in some way. He has his own reasons for going after them.” Charlotte didn’t think it was her place to share personal matters, and she didn’t really know the full story of all of it anyway. “But that was why he did everything in Alterian.”

“He had learned Alter was linked to Alterian and the Grand Magus in some way, and spreading the name Dark Magus, he wanted a reaction out of Alter. It certainly has worked, and everything has led us to the situation we are in now.”

Aurora was just thinking, how… how could she have had a crush on the Dark Magus of all things. The man had even gotten so close to her brother, the man was even in the academy, and was close to Kelly as well.

It made her think numerous other thoughts, about whether Kelly knew about this or not, but still, she couldn’t get it out of her head, that the two were the same person.

“I just don’t understand… how can you treat it like normal. I think I need to walk a bit,” Aurora said.

Leaving the room, Aurora decided to just walk inside the town hall. It was fairly large, with the various rooms, it was almost like a museum, and there were a number of interesting things for her to look at.

She just couldn’t get the image of what she had learned today out of her head, though. The Dark Magus was meant to be dead, but now he was in another world and was planning to come back in one way or another.

A big part of her brain was telling her to stop. Eventually, she sat down, slumped in the library the town hall had. Most of it was Yarlston’s personal collection.

“Oh, I didn’t know there was someone else in here… I haven’t quite seen you before?” The person asking the question and reaching for a book was Beatrix.

She had been delighted with her new weapon and was looking for something that might come in handy in teaching her how to use it to her full capabilities.

When Aurora looked at Beatrix, she saw a stunning, elegant woman with flowing blonde hair. When sitting down, her posture was upright and her manners were perfect; it was a woman that screamed of elegance, and was what Aurora even envisioned herself to be.

“Ah yes… I’m not from here, I think Charlotte says that I’m an Otherworlder,” Aurora answered.

“Oh, like Raze?” Beatrix said, having learned about Alter and about Raze through the visions she had seen. She had experienced more than just Alterian through those visions.

“Right… like Raze,” Aurora said silently, until she managed to pluck the courage to turn and talk to Beatrix more. “I’m a little troubled… and I don’t know if it’s just me or… you see, Raze well… when he was in our world, he wasn’t exactly the… how do I put it.”

“The best person?” Beatrix replied as she closed the book. “I think I might know what you mean, and more so than you think.”

Beatrix started to think of the darkest moments of Raze’s life she had seen. The large amount of killings he had done, to those that didn’t even deserve it.

“Raze is a difficult person, who has grown up with a hard life, but despite that, it doesn’t mean that I agree with him morally,” Beatrix answered. “I have struggled with this thought myself, if I was in his shoes I wouldn’t act the same way, but is my way the absolute right way?”

“There are times when my actions have led to even more suffering than if someone like Raze was in charge. Sometimes, I feel like there is almost a need for people like Raze.”

“Right,” Aurora replied. Thinking about how well everyone talked about him, and what Lily said before, one person’s ally is another’s enemy. “But even if he did do those things, isn’t it also true that he’s selfish, that it’s only because his goal aligns with everyone else’s.”

“If it was the other way, he would easily be an enemy. A person like that is so scary, at any point in time, his weapons, his swords, his power could be pointed towards us!”

Beatrix nodded, she definitely agreed with this sentiment more and more. “It is scary… but I saw something, Raze’s feelings are very pure and straightforward. They only go laterally in a particular direction. If you are his enemy, then you are his enemy, and if you are his friend, or even his family, then he will equally do anything he can to help you.”

“I’ll tell you one thing. If you want to see if Raze is truly the evil person you think he is. You should look at how he looks at one person. I don’t even think he has realized it yet, but it’s the only time his eyes are soft.”

“You’re saying the Dark Magus cared about someone, I would like to see that,” Aurora laughed.

“I think he’s with her right now working on something, go find her, go see Safa,” Beatrix added. “See if the Dark Magus in your mind is the same one you see here.”

Going around the town of Flendon, Raze had been looking for where Safa would be, hoping that she just might be able to help with his problem. The sun was out, which was strange to see for him, since he had gone into his secret cellar when the sun was out, and it was still out.

Although he could stay awake, sleep was still something he enjoyed doing on occasion. Asking Fixteen, he had been sent to a particular location, an area located by the Lake. It wasn’t near his base but was near the very tip of where the lake ended.

An area that had plenty of greenery around it, and when one walked through several pathways, there was a large house of sorts, nearly as big as the Town hall itself.

There was a nice green pathway of grass leading up to the house. “This is where they’re staying, what type of inn is this?”

Although it wasn’t as big as the manor at which Raze had just come from in Alterian, due to how the house was built with the scenery and the view of the lake in mind, it was certainly a place that could compete with it.

“Hey Raze, you’re here!” Liam said as he waved from the balcony down. “Everyone was wondering where you were and what you were doing. We’ve just been getting ready for things ourselves.”

Liam quickly jumped down from where he was, landing on the grass, and had a smile on his face. While he had his hands held out.

“…what are you wanting?” Raze asked.

“Ah, I heard that you were making a load of items for everyone that could be used in the fight against Alter. You know since I’m weak and all, I thought you would hand me some items.”

Raze had walked straight past Liam as he answered. “I don’t have any items for you, Liam, and you should know that you’re not weak.”

Raze’s words were true; he didn’t think Liam was weak at all. With him and the other two by his side, the three were a force that could take on the highest of middle-stage warriors. Liam had the system, and he had a weapon that could replicate itself.

Along with his magical artifact that Raze had made, he was powerful and had grown by leaps and bounds, but there was a reason why Raze hadn’t made him a weapon, and it was the same reason he hadn’t made one for Simyon and Safa as well.

“Where’s Safa?” Raze asked.

“Ah, she’s inside with Simyon,” Liam answered.

Pushing through the glass doors, Raze could see Safa and Simyon, having a large number of books and maps on the floor. They two of them seemed to be talking about particular matters, but it all stopped as soon as they saw Raze enter. Discover hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire

“You guys must be earning quite a bit of coin now that you are paying for a place like this,” Raze commented.

“Raze!” Safa said with a joyous smile as she stood up, and Simyon did the same, quickly standing up and greeting him.

“Raze, we’re not renting this place, this place is ours and yours. Most of what is in Flendon is yours,” Simyon explained. “Rayna made it so that these types of places were created for you and everyone close to you. You’re a faction leader now, so you can’t just be staying in random inns all the time.”

“Right.” Safa nodded. “Besides that, you’re quite noticeable with your white hair as well. So you need more secluded places that are off-limits to the regulars. Anyway, we heard that you had made some items for the Crimson Crane, I guess that’s what you were busy with.”

Just then, Raze noticed as Liam had entered through the back. That Simyon had the same look on his face, as if he was expecting something.

“I don’t have any items for the three of you,” Raze answered. “They weren’t suitable for you, and all of you have great strength in the first place due to your own efforts. If you relied on those items, it would only slow down your progress.

“On top of that…if you had powerful items like those, then I’m sure in the upcoming fight, that you would be targeted.”

There was silence from the three for a moment, as they were trying to process what it was that Raze had just said. The reason for not creating them items.

“Wait, are you saying you’re not creating items for us because you’re worried about us!” Liam claimed as he rushed to the front of Raze. “Are you saying you care about us?”

Liam was ready to tease Raze about this. He was a man who made it clear several times he didn’t care about them and only his goal. The number of times he said this to them, Liam did have a thought that maybe he was just trying to convince himself in the matter.

“Hello!” A faint voice could be heard from outside.

“I’ll go check it out,” Liam answered. “Sounds like a damsel in distress which is my thing.”

Rushing out, it didn’t take long for Liam to return, and with him, he had brought an oddly dressed female woman, in a dress, one that Raze had visited not too long ago.

“Are you following me, Aurora?” Raze asked.

“Ah no, it’s not that, I mean kinda,” Aurora answered. Not knowing the truth about who he was, how was he meant to act. “It was….the people at the town hall, they said I should stay and observe you for a while.”

If there was one saving grace in Aurora’s mind, it was the fact that this Raze looked completely different to the countless images that were posted online, showing what the Dark Magus looked like.

So she could set some feelings aside, and she wanted to observe him for now.

Ignoring Aurora, since it didn’t seem too important, Raze turned back to Safa. “I wanted to actually ask you something,” Raze asked.

“Oh, it’s the same for me,” Safa answered.

It was then that Raze gestured softly, allowing for Safa to speak first.

“Actually, it’s not just me, but we have all been speaking…when you get the Golden Globe and go to Alterian…we want to come with you!” Safa blurted out and quickly moved her head down, avoiding eye contact.

The question had come out of the blue for Raze; he was so stunned by it that he had to take a few moments to think about what was just really said. When thinking about the Golden Globe, Raze was ready to head to Alterian to deal with his goal. To get rid of the Grand Magus.

But he hadn’t really thought too far about how he would do that, or about what he was going to leave behind in Pagna. He didn’t even think about any of that at all, and now, Safa had asked to come with him.

Carefully, Aurora had sat down on one of the couches and was watching everything. In particular, the facial expressions Raze made when talking to the woman.

’Beatrix and Fixteen sent me to this place. The description they gave me of the girl, that has to be her, that has to be Safa, right?’ Aurora thought. ’Why is she asking to go to Alterian with him? That makes no sense, why would she want to go to a completely different world, and travel with the Dark Magus of all things!’

The feeling of wanting to pull out her hair was starting all over again, but she didn’t want to do so in front of strangers she had just met.

“So, where are you from, are you that girl that’s from Alterian as well?” Liam asked, sitting next to her.

“SHHHH!” Aurora immediately snapped, as she intensely continued to look at Raze and Safa talking. Even Simyon turned to Liam, shaking his head; it was a serious moment, and a question they had all been pondering, they wanted to know what his answer would be.

“To come to Alterian with me?” Raze said. “But why, there is no reason for you to go. It’s not your home, this is where you are from. I don’t quite understand why you would want to go to Alterian.

“Even if there is a way to send you back, the reasons I’m going, it’s not just for a casual trip.”

Safa’s head sulked down as she heard those words, and immediately Simyon came by her side. “Raze, I can’t believe you would think that after all of this time?” Simyon said. “You should know what it’s like for us, and especially Safa.

“We don’t have a family, me or her; since then, we have followed you every step of the way and followed everything that you’ve done. We know it’s not just a trip, we know why you’re going there, we wouldn’t be going there just for fun, we’re going there and going to help you.”

Opening his mouth, Raze wanted to say more, trying to explain how dangerous it was, and he wondered why was he trying so hard to not allow them to follow him. If it was the others, the members of the Crimson Crane, maybe he would have just told them to do what they wanted, but Raze was somewhat against it.

“But Alterian is not your home, it’s not your job to try and help me, honestly, all of you have done more than enough.”

Immediately, Safa lifted up her head and tensed both of her fists as she heard those words. “Raze, don’t you understand, all of us, to us, you are our home. Wherever you are, I want to be there as well, and it’s the same for everyone else!

“Our lives would have been nothing if we had never met you. I would have been sent to that Orphanage and probably killed with all of the mess that was caused, along with Simyon.”

“The whole of the Dark Faction would have probably gone as well,” Liam said. “And it’s not like I really have a place to go back to either. I like being around you guys. New world, new start, and heck Raze, these guys messed up this world so badly, I would like to see at least what they look like, maybe I can hit them where it hurts once or twice.”

What was becoming an even bigger surprise was that it wasn’t just Safa, but it was also the other two as well. They also wished to go with Raze to the other side.

With Aurora watching all of this, she had noticed two things. How connected these people felt, as if they were a real family. She imagined if Raze was her brother and in the same situation what she would have done was similar to all of these people.

Could someone truly evil, as the shows and news outlets said, get people around him to gather like this? It wasn’t some type of secret persuasion technique he was using. If anything, Aurora could see the uncomfortable look on Raze’s face, how he didn’t want this to be, because he cared about them.

She knew this feeling because she felt this way about her brother, and her brother felt the same way about her.

’Come to think of it…I really don’t know much about the Dark Magus at all. Only the things that I heard, only the things that they reported. My brother would talk about things all the time. The news channels, they had their biases.

’Everyone did, and lately, he even told me to stop visiting him at the base. It seems something has him scared…is it true then, that the Grand Magus, were bad..’

In the end, after thinking it through, Raze smiled as he gave his answer. “This is your life to live, I just want all of you to have really thought it through with your decision in the end. Alterian is not a kind and safe place, and with what I have in mind, we aren’t going for a trip. As long as you understand this, then I can’t stop you.”

Safa, Simyon, and Liam’s eyes all lit up, as they jumped up from the position they were in. The three of them gathered and were bouncing as they were celebrating, and seeing them like this, Raze had a large smile on his face.

“Beatrix was right…he really does care about these people,” Aurora said.

“Alright, now Safa, I’m going to need you to help me with my favor. We’re going to try our best to make our very own, god-tier item!” Raze claimed.

The Crimson Crane were ecstatic about the items that they had received from the Dark Magus. Finally, after a long time, Raze had gone through with his word. In exchange for them helping him out, protecting him, and being a part of his group, he would make powerful items personally for them.

Although it was now hard to say who was protecting who with everything that had happened. The Crimson Crane felt like they might have been wrapped up and gone with the momentum with all that had happened.

There was one thing that they wished to do the moment they had gotten their hands on the items, and that was to test them. They needed to know what they could do and how to use them if they were going to fight with them.

Before that, there was just one task that needed to be completed. Thankfully, as the Crimson Crane along with Alba were leaving the town hall, they had bumped into Anna.

“Oh, it’s nice to meet you, Anna, again.”

“Right, nice to meet you,” Anna replied, still feeling a little down about everything.

The last time the two of them had spoken, Alba had made an attempt to get closer to Anna, but it ended in failure. From what she had heard, Fixteen had directed her to the Dark Faction. She had returned, though, and she wasn’t alone; by her side, there was also Zon.

“Is Raze ready yet?” Zon asked. “The day of the funeral is near, and I imagine we won’t have much time after that. I have been preparing.”

Experience tales with NovelBin.Côm

“I think so,” Alba answered. “Raze seems like he’s only got a few more things to do, so I don’t think it will be much longer. Then, all we need to do is convince the rest of the Demonic Faction to fight alongside us… easy, right?”

There was nervous laughter from her as well as the rest of the group. “Actually, before Raze left, he asked me to give you something, Anna.”

Reaching out from her back, Alba threw it over, and Anna caught it by the handle, allowing it to unravel until it touched the floor.

“A whip… a whip…” Anna repeated as she was confused.

“Hey, you should know that’s not just any whip, that’s one made by the Dark Magus. I’m sure he had his thoughts why he thought it might be best to be used in your hands. Speaking off, the rest of us were thinking of heading to try out these new weapons of ours, would the two of you like to join us.”

“It would be beneficial if we all knew the limits of our powers, right?” Alba smiled.

Underneath the smile, the other Crimson Crane members knew that there was a great passion. Alba was, after all, a competitive person, and if they were going to battle, even in a mock one, there was no way she was going to lose.

“Sure, I think it will be beneficial, as you say, to test the limits of our power,” Zon answered as he looked at his own hand, and the pulsating yellow energy that was running through him.

“Do you mind if I join you guys as well?” Beatrix asked from behind, having overheard everything.

“Sure, why not, the more the merrier, right?” Alba said.

——

“Do you mind if I watch the enchantment?” Aurora asked.

Back at the villa-type residence by the lake, Raze had asked Safa if she could help him with a matter. That he would need her in enchanting his special Blazer, the one left to him by Sabrina. The reason for improving the Blazer was to allow it to be coated in a type of Dark Magic.

He was hoping that he could enhance the Blazer rather than enchant it with Dark Magic since it was already an enchanted item. However, what he wanted to do, it was just a theory in his head.

He wanted to try to keep all of the effects of the current enchantment while possibly adding new effects to it with the Dark Magic. There was still a high chance, though, that the item itself would completely change and end up being a cursed item.

The item in the first place was already high ranking, so it would require a large amount of magic. Raze had plenty of his Dark magic, and Dark magic in a way was a cheat for enhancements in the first place.

What he needed to keep the balance of things, though, was Light magic, and Safa was the only one.

’She’s stuck in this situation, and she will learn the truth sooner or later. It will be more annoying to decline her request,’ Raze thought. ’Besides, I might be able to ask her questions to do with her brother and those pills, and try to see where they got them from.’

After agreeing, everyone had ventured outside; with his Earth magic, Raze had created another platform, almost like a table. He took off his Blazer and just had Pagna cloth underneath.

The Blazer was laid out on the table. “What do I need to do?” Safa asked.

“We need to create a balance of our magic. Right now, I can tell, your magic core is that of a three-star mage, you have been working hard,” Raze answered. “But that is not the limit of your power. With everything that’s happened, the light magic, maybe that Divine Qi is supplementing it even further.

“The rules that others are struck by don’t apply to you. With your god eyes, you should be able to see the balance, so as I input my Dark magic, I want you to balance it with your Light magic.”

Safa understood, but she couldn’t help but be nervous. Aurora was watching everything carefully, and as she did, she was amazed by his craftsmanship on the table. The magic circle that he was drawing at a fast rate.

The runes that he was adding, programming all the different rules to how the magic should be implemented. Some things she didn’t understand, but what she did, it completely opened up her eyes.

“Ready?” Raze asked.

“Ready,” Safa answered.

Raze grabbed her hand and placed it above the Blazer. As the two held it in place, the Dark magic swirled out of Raze’s hand, and on the other side, Light Magic had swirled out in the air.
