The mass amount of power of Light and Dark Magic exploded in the garden. From the distance in the town of Flendon, they could see the intertwining magic in the distance. To them, it looked quite beautiful as they pointed at it.
“It’s probably the Dark Magus doing something, it’s in the direction of one of his places, right.”
“Right, it’s a good thing we have him looking over our city. Maybe it’s a blessing.”
Oddly, people in the town started to pray as they saw the sight. Praying and being thankful that they had the Dark Magus’s protection and wanted it to continue the way it was.
The work on Safa’s end was a little harder than she expected; her eyebrow was twitching as she was pouring in her magic. Although Raze’s Dark magic was far more than her Light magic, due to Light’s affinity being a weakness for Dark magic, she could still keep up.
What was the hard part was getting the balance right. If she used too much, it was starting to diminish the Dark magic away, using too little, and the Dark magic was consuming hers. She noticed that Raze wasn’t pouring out all of his magic.
This was because he was trying to fine control it into the magic circle as well as the item; not only that, but Raze was also busy trying to control and sway her magic as well.
‘I don’t want to be a burden anymore, I won’t be a burden to Raze anymore!’ Safa said as she closed her eyes and focused.
She started to breathe, as if in a meditative state.
Seeing this, and the magic swirling around, Raze was also smiling. ‘She’s far better than I thought. It’s as everyone has said, this is what true talent looks like. No wonder she can even cultivate Qi in the middle of the fight. Her control, it’s one of the best out there. I wonder, if I had even a fraction of her talent when I was younger what I would have been able to achieve.’
That thought only lasted a small moment, because now it was time to act. Raze focused as he poured the magic into the Blazer, absorbing it all into one place. The Dark and Light magic spread out, breaking into particles in the air surrounding the entire city.
Followed after it, an array of energy blasted out from the Blazer. It was an invisible pulse. As it hit Liam, Simyon, and Aurora, the feeling through their body was that of a tingle. It was hard to say if it was a good or bad feeling, but it certainly was an indifferent one.
It wasn’t just them; the energy spread far and wide, hitting all of those in Flendon. It continued to spread out through the Demonic Faction. The pulse, it was singular, it didn’t drag, but it continued outward, going across the entirety of Pagna.
Everyone that day had felt it, a strange pulse hitting their body, and it was only for a fraction of a second. One of the areas that had also experienced this was the Alter base.
The energy had continued going through the walls and through the entire building.
“There’s a reaction on the top floor!” one of the programmers shouted as he quickly was looking at the readings appearing on his screen.
“The top floor, isn’t that where all of the Artifacts are stored?” Another asked.
“Report this to Heino as soon as possible, it’s quite clear something is happening.”
Back in the garden, Raze had stepped away, and so did Safa, as the two of them couldn’t stop looking at the Blazer. Its shape, and a large part of it, had changed from what it once was. Now the Blazer was predominantly black.
It had elongated, so it looked more like a trench coat that would hit the ground. However, the bottom part of it was flowing. Similar to when Raze had activated the Dark magic around his body. It flowed and flicked like a dark flame.
As one went from the bottom to the top, the darkness of the magic looked to solidify back into the same Blazer-like design. However, the shoulders of the Blazer, they were completely white in color.
It cracked down from there, in a lightning-like pattern down to the rest of the dark Blazer. However, what was most important was the powerful energy radiating from it; from just looking at it, Raze was sure.
“I did it… I finally did it, never in my life have I achieved such a thing,” Raze claimed. “But… maybe part of my luck has finally started to change, I have created a god-tier item.”
Aurora couldn’t believe her ears, a god-tier item? Was it even possible to create such an item? Even with the Dark Magus’s power, that shouldn’t have been possible.
There were three things at play, Safa’s energy, Raze’s Dark energy, and the attribute of the Dark energy, the fact that the item was already a mythical item, and created by one of the greatest Light mages in the world.
Raze was sure with everything that it would at least evolve to the Legendary Rank, but he just needed his luck to pull through, getting it to reach the God tier rank.
‘I’ve made countless items for others, and have handed them over… but my greatest creation, this item, this is one made for me,’ Raze said as he walked forward.
The Dark magic swirled around his fingers, as he activated it, to find out just what it could do.
As the magic swirled, Raze read the effects; there was one piece of good news, it certainly was a God-tier item, but it was a Cursed God-tier item, and with it, it had a god-tier level curse attached to it. Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire
“I guess… this was my destiny from the beginning after all,” Raze said.

The effects of the cursed blazer would only be implemented when it was put on and used. Which meant that Raze had a chance to not be affected by the curse at all. However, not for the slightest moment did he think about not placing it on himself as he picked it up.
“I would never throw an item away that was made by your hands,” Raze claimed as he swirled it around himself, and it attached to himself. “Besides, I will need this to compete with him especially.” Explore more at My Virtual Library Empire
Raze was looking ahead; not only did Alter have powerful artifacts gathered from countless dimensions, but there was also Idore, who was the greatest crafter that ever existed, and he was sure to have items at the same level as well, kept to himself.
The man that was practically the head of the Grand Magus as well.
When putting the Blazer on, the dark flickering corners of the blazer started to stop swirling and were receding back into itself. Raze could see that the streaks from the shoulders were starting to fade, and the black color that covered it was disappearing.
The blazer had returned, looking like it once had before. ‘Oh, so only if the blazer is fully active will it look like that, this is a nice surprise,’ Raze thought. In a way, it meant he now wasn’t intruding on the original design Sabrina had done for him.
“Simyon, can you tell everyone to get ready to head to the Neverfall Clan base,” Raze asked. “The funeral is tomorrow, but we should head there today and make preparations. If you talk to Dame, I think he will know what is best.”
Simyon nodded and was ready to head off, and was practically dragging Liam to come with him whether he wanted to or not.
“Wait, what!” Liam shouted. “Is Raze not at least going to tell us what that Blazer does now? Didn’t you feel that pulse that went through us? That’s clearly something special, he can’t just keep it from us!”
Dragging and kicking his legs, Liam wanted to see what the Blazer could do, or maybe even test it. Before Safa went off, she turned to Aurora, gesturing if she wanted to come with them. Although before, she would have jumped at the chance for it to just be her and Raze, things seemed different now that she knew who he actually was, so she decided to go along with her, and if she wanted to later split and head off and explore or head back to the town hall, she would do that.
“What are you going to do now?” Safa asked.
“I will be taking a quick visit to the Dark Faction. I will make sure that Amir has prepared everything from that end; I also need to ask him about the Golden Globe, and if we have to worry about any unexpected visitors. Also, when we get our hands on that thing, figure out how to use it.”
—
Simyon and the others were quick to do their task, as they ventured around the town. They told those that needed to be aware and were on board. Somehow, even a member of the Lost Clan had appeared and stated that they would also make their way to the funeral.
A strange note had been left in Simyon’s pocket without him even noticing it had been put there. Which made the Lost Clan even more frightening than he thought. What they couldn’t find were members of the Crimson Crane and a couple of others.
Yet they didn’t have to wait long until they saw them appearing from the edge of town. The group were heavily beaten up, scars all over their body. The only individual that appeared to be in good condition was Zon.
“What happened!” Liam asked as he saw them all enter the town hall and slump into the various seats plastered around the place. “Did you get attacked by Alter, is everyone alright.”
“Don’t worry too much,” Cronker said. “We were actually the ones who did this to ourselves, we were just playing about with our new weapons, and I’m glad we decided to do it out of the city.”
“Right, if we had done it here, then maybe there would be nothing left of this place,” Lily answered.
“You guys do know that we might have trouble?” Simyon explained. “The Demonic Faction might not even agree to teaming up with us. Alter could be planning something that causes us to fight each other, or we could be going straight into a war after this funeral.”
“Did you really have to go this far against each other?” Simyon asked.
The others had a guilty look on their faces. “We didn’t mean to,” Tilon answered. “Honestly, the items were just beyond what we imagined, we tried to be careful.”
“It’s alright,” Safa said. “I can help you all anyway.” She closed her eyes, lifting her arms up.
Particles started to shine all over the room and particularly on the floor around their feet. A warm glow was felt through their bodies, and they could feel themselves getting energized as well as their wounds closing up.
“This is amazing,” Alba said.
“It… really is,” Aurora muttered, the only one perhaps who knew how amazing what she was doing truly was.
——
Meanwhile, Raze had traveled through the teleporter and had headed to the Dark Faction. He was inside the academy, in one of the main halls that were filled with dark wood. He was sitting on the floor, cross-legged, and opposite him, Amir was doing the same.
“I see what you are proposing, I suppose it is fair. In this trade, you get what you want, and in the end, we get our item returned to us and out of the hands of Alter,” Amir answered. “I knew that this would be the outcome since I met you, and it benefits us both.”
“It seems we will have a good relationship, very well then, I will tell you how to use the Golden Globe, but you might be surprised about what you hear.”

The Neverfall Clan was in a state of disarray; it had never been in such a situation at all, because now everyone was aware of the fact that their great leader, Belil, was no longer. A man of great strength for the clan that had been running it for a large number of years.
A large-scale organization was being done by the clans, a mass amount of steel imported from the local areas and large structures being built all for one thing. The Neverfall Clan had decided to use the outside of their base for the location of the funeral.
The Clan base was tricky due to its particular size and how it worked with the floors. Although it was the unique way of training for the clan, even for many in the Demonic Faction, it would be an uncomfortable feeling.
So instead, stages were being set up on the outside. Large structures being built as a type of walkway for the clans. Special areas had to also be built to keep in mind the Demonic Faction leaders that would be present.
The large stages were close to completion, and the final touches were being completed for the entire thing. For example, the ground itself was being shifted out, and in its place, special concrete flooring was being laid out.
It was going to act as a runway until it reached the base. They couldn’t have Belil’s body go across dirt; it just didn’t feel right to them.
A ceremony would start with many gathered at the beginning; after that, the leaders of the Demonic Faction clans from all over the continent would follow the coffin down the pathway. Those holding onto the coffin would be carefully selected.
Stay tuned for updates on My Virtual Library Empire
Most had an idea of who it would be, and perhaps it would only be two of them, Fing and Han. Finally, when they reached the end, Fing and Han would jump down from the Abyssal base and land at the very bottom.
Where a special room had been created for the burial of the significant clan members. The idea was whatever power Belil’s body left would go back to the land and increase the strength of those who cultivated within it.
Of course, those taking part, most of them didn’t know that there was no energy to be used, as it had all already been taken away.
With the event taking place soon and many of the Demonic Faction leaders coming from afar, a little distance off from where the stages were being set up, temporary housing was being built. Due to who it was housing, it couldn’t be too shabby.
On top of that, due to the large number of people that would be coming to this place, Clan leaders as well as the significant members in the group. They also needed to build large structures. Thankfully, the powerful muscular Demonic clan, the Neverfall Clan that never seemed to run out of stamina, were able to work tirelessly to create such things.
After all, working outside of the base, where there was next to no heat, was significantly easier than working inside it; for them, it almost felt like it was a break.
“Thank you for coming!” Rayna said as she bowed down her head and handed a wooden tag over with a number. “Your accommodation has been sorted, please feel free to help yourself to any refreshments, and if you have anything that is troubling you, feel free to come talk to me.”
The men bowed down as they continued forward, and after walking past, they had a few words to say among themselves.
“That was Rayna, correct, Belil’s daughter?”
“Right, right, she is a respectful woman, she seems to know how to be courteous.”
“I also heard that she has done a significant job in running the town of Flendon.”
“Ah yes, but isn’t that due to that Dark Magus that has been aiding her.”
“That might be why the Town of Flendon has been able to thrive; however, I have spoken to quite a few who are directly from there, they have also stated that her leadership is great. She is quick to act stern, and quite the fair person.”
“She has great respect of the warriors that are there, especially as a person who is willing to fight on the front lines themselves.”
“Ah yes, I have heard that some believe that if the clan was left in her hands that maybe it would go some distance.”
“But if that did happen, then wouldn’t the position go to the son-in-law, the Dark Magus. He would jump ahead of them two, and I can’t see them being particularly happy about that.”
“You might be right, I imagine there’s some internal conflict from within. It would be interesting to know, though, I imagine if the two boys act, they could best the Dark Magus, so he would be wise to listen to them.
“Even if it is the wish of others around them, them two will not take no for an easy answer, and there will be quite the fight on his hands.”
“If Rayna is here after also being outcasted from the Clan, then we might have quite the big event on their hands.”
Several words and rumors of the situation were going around. Particularly how Belil had even perished in the first place. A secret plan from the Light Faction, an attack from a secret organization, or punishment from Divine warriors from above for something that had been uncovered.
However, what they didn’t know was the particular situation that was unfolding. The Elders at the council table of the clan had called for a meeting. There were ten of them in total, and at the meeting, the two brothers Han and Fing were at the meeting itself.
“This is ridiculous!” Fing shouted. “You can’t do this, how can you do this, and why would you do this!”
His whole body and fist were shaking.
“It is the choice that we have decided to make.” The elders stated. “We wish to make the Dark Magus, head of the Neverfall Clan.”

The news was devastating for the two brothers, to say the least. They were currently located in the deepest part of the Neverfall Clan, where the searing heat was at its strongest. Yet, the heat was nothing compared to the news that they had just heard from the elders in front of them.
“How can you break a lineage like that, to completely just push a stranger from outside right to the top!” Fing shouted. “It makes no sense.”
“I have to say, for once I agree with what my brother is saying,” Han added. “He has never trained in this base along with the others. He hasn’t shared the same bond or gone through the same process. You are trusting everything to a man that has taken over the Dark Faction. I imagine, our father would be rolling in his grave if he knew this was taking place.”
The reaction was more than expected from the Elders, but they needed to make sure to bring this up before the funeral of Belil. As the other Demonic Factions would be expecting to hear news of what the Neverfall Clan was planning to do now.
The announcement had to be strong, for in the Demonic Faction, no matter what was happening or taking place with the other faction, at any point a fight could break out from in between. Even between clans with weaker power.
If there was a chance to take advantage of a situation, it would be used.
“What you are saying right now, is you don’t have confidence that our names, after everything we have done for the clan, are strong enough to carry the weight to protect it, and that you need to use this name of an outsider?” Han asked.
From the reluctant look from the elders to make eye contact, it felt like Han had hit the nail on the head.
“You should know that strength is what matters the most in the Demonic Clan,” the Elder claimed. “We have to get through this situation after such a big loss, and right now the Dark Magus is a respected figure.”
Another elder then chimed in before Fing could speak up as well. “At the end of the day, the Elders, including you two, are able to cast a vote for the next head. We have all come to this decision regardless of the two of your votes, but as you know, if you disagree, you can always do it the old-fashioned way.”
“The old-fashioned way?” Fing asked, as he had never been through a changing of heads in the Neverfall Clan. It had always been their father since they were born.
“At the end of the day, the Demonic Clan cared about power above all. If you disagree with the situation, then you can always ask for a duel with the Dark Magus,” the elder claimed.
Both of the brothers looked at each other at the same time. They had already fought against Raze, and the situation didn’t end in their favor. This hadn’t occurred just once, but twice they had lost to Raze.
There hadn’t been much time since that loss, so it wasn’t as if the two of them had grown in strength.
“We will remember this,” Han said as he stood up, knowing full well that any further talking was just a lost cause. “You don’t even know if the Dark Magus will accept the proposal, and when it falls, the only two that will care enough for this clan is us two, and do you really think we will just pick up the mess that you have caused.
“If we have to at that point, then we will get rid of every single one of you.”
Han turned around with his brother to exit out of the room, and one of the Elders stood up, face furious, until another grabbed his arm, stopping him.
“Did you not hear what they said, they have no respect for us at all!”
“It’s fine, did you not expect something like this would happen. We have to live with the choices we made, and if anything, I believe that this shows that they at least care about the clan. Belil…I just wish you would have told us more what you were thinking before just leaving like that.”
Finally, despite everything that had happened, it was finally the day. The funeral was set to take place at exactly midday. It was early morning, and the Neverfall clan as well as several of the other leaders were all mingling with each other.
Food was being served in the temporary housing locations, and they were talking about the situation of the Demonic Clan, as well as what had been happening so far.
At some places, near enough break out fights were about to happen, but Rayna herself had gotten involved, swinging her spear down in the middle of the two clans, stating that today was not the day.
There would be no fighting amongst them. However, most of the clan leaders were asking one question.
“If Rayna is here, where is the Dark Magus, he should be here as well, as the son-in-law of the great Neverfall clan family.”

“I’ve been hearing rumors that he might be even the one to take over the Neverfall Clan. If that happens, he will have the most power in the entire of Pagna.”
“Do you think then…we would be going to war. With him, the Dark Faction and the Demonic Faction would be somewhat united. Wouldn’t it be easy to then take over the Light Faction, and for the first time in history, Pagna would be united under one banner.”
Several of them nodded as they were talking to each other in a circle. While their own clan members seemed to be fighting amongst each other. Until word had reached them that made them turn their heads.
“The Dark Magus, he’s arriving, he’s arriving everyone.”
At that point, nearly all five hundred or so people that were in the location turned their heads.

Just like everyone else who had arrived at the Neverfall Clan base, rather than being led directly into the abyssal base, they were located in the preparation area and temporary built housing, a communal area.
The housing structures were built in a type of large circle, and then in the center were where several of the groups had set up seats, tables, and all sorts of other things. They had brought them from their own base to make it feel more homely for them.
In the circularly built structure, there were two openings from the north and the south where the housing structures weren’t built so close together. One had to enter from one side or the other depending on where they were coming from, and then park their carriages just behind the housing structures with the rest where members of the Neverfall Clan would look after them.
When they looked at the fancy carriages that were coming towards the entrance, they could see that there were quite a few.
“The Dark Magus,” one of the Clan heads said. “We’ve seen him a number of times, even at the wedding event and heard the rumors of what he had done at the Martial Arts Tournament. He even defeated Sha Mo and the rest of the Behemoth Clan. Quite the amazing person is coming here, and I wonder who he brings with him by his side.”
“Right, right, he can’t have done that on his own, those by his side are also just as important.”
The carriages had parked up by the side, and Rayna was standing there waiting to greet them all just as she had done with the others that had arrived.
When the first set of carriages opened, coming out from them was Alba along with the rest of the Crimson Crane. Her entire group, with their new weapons on display, shone brightly and had immediately caught the attention of the Demonic Faction.
“The Crimson Crane, they were just a Traveler group, I knew they were somewhat infamous, but I never imagined for them to…look like this. Just having them standing there, the aura coming off their bodies…what is this, were they always this powerful.”
The aura that could be felt wasn’t just their own, but also the weapons that they held. On top of those that had come out of the Crimson Crane carriage, there was also Anna, Zon, and an individual that surprised a large amount of them, Beatrix.
“Isn’t that…Beatrix, from the Light Faction, what is she doing with them. Didn’t she win the Martial arts tournament as well…why is she in the Demonic Faction.”
“SHHH!” Another demonic faction clan leader shouted. “Does that even matter, the fact is that she is traveling with them, which means she is part of the Dark Magus’s group. That means there needs to be a reason for all of this.”
Others were clearly displeased with seeing this and still felt like there was somewhat an overreaction of everything that involved the Dark Magus.
The next set of carriages had opened up, and the first one to come out was Amir. The principal of the Dark Faction, and somewhat the vice head of the entire Dark Faction since Raze was in between places most of the time.
Those that had come out with him were Ricktor, Mada, Liam, Safa, and Simyon. Those that used to be students that had caught the eyes of many of the Demonic Faction members in the past, but on top of that, there was also Mantis and Brack. Two of the most talented students that had belonged to the Demonic Faction.
“What is the Dark Magus doing bringing them along.” Another commented. “Those from the Dark Faction shouldn’t be welcome to the Demonic Faction so openly, even if he is the Dark Magus himself.”
“Maybe he’s trying to show the strength and how wide his power is. The fact that he has Mantis there and Brack. They’re almost trophies, trying to show how much of the Demonic Faction he has taken over already.
Lastly, the third set of carriages was seen opening, and the Dark Magus himself was seen coming out, wearing his special blazer, this time there was no mask on his face, and his white hair was in full view.
They could all see how clearly young the man that was sending waves through Pagna looked. Coming out right after him were also two important figures.
“It feels strange to come back, right?” Fixteen said.
“It certainly does,” Dame answered. “And the stares from those in the Neverfall Clan and the others in the Demonic Faction don’t exactly seem welcoming.”
“You’re right, it’s almost like they completely hate us…like we betrayed them or something.”
Both Dame and Fixteen walked, helping Raze navigate through all of this mess. As they marched forward, they saw Rayna standing there. The three groups had combined into one that was standing behind Raze in the front.
Seeing all of them in one place, it was quite the force that the Demonic Clan felt like none of them had a chance of stopping, even if they teamed up together. But it made them question, why did so many people continue to decide to unite under this man’s banner. Just what was the draw.

“I welcome you, Dark Magus,” Rayna said as she went to bow down her head.
“Stop,” Raze called out with his hand. “Our relationship is not like that. I am not in a position that is higher than yours, or lower than yours. We know each other well, and you have helped me out in countless situations.
“I do not ask anyone who is helping me to bow down to me to greet me….I…I..” Flickering thoughts were running through Raze’s mind. Of the pretentious people that were above in the world of Altiera.
“That is not a world I wish anyone to live in,” Raze answered. “Respect is something that needs to be earned, not a title that has no meaning or weight behind it. Actions are needed to support those words.
“Rayna, you shouldn’t be on that side…you should be on this side, so don’t bow down,” Raze claimed. “Let’s get through this whole thing together.”
With that, there was only one hour till the funeral to begin, and no one could have guessed what would entail this event.

After the little interaction, Rayna had agreed that she wouldn’t bow down to Raze, and instead, she decided to show them to their temporary living arrangement. Although they wouldn’t be staying there for long considering that the funeral would start in a few hours.
Still, it would be a place for them to rest if they needed to. As Rayna was showing them, she looked at Raze as he talked to a few of the others, giving them small details of what his initial plan was, and she found herself staring at him.
‘I know our relationship is not the strongest, and that our marriage was one that had political value, but the more time I spend with you, I can’t help myself but wish that it was something that was true,’ Rayna thought.
Eventually, Raze had finished talking to the others as he walked towards Rayna, along with him Fixteen and Dame.
“I think it might be good if Raze was to introduce himself around those in the camp. There are quite a lot of leaders in the Demonic Faction that he hasn’t met yet, and due to what we are planning to do, I think it might be good if he is to meet with them.”
Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire
Rayna nodded along. “I agree, at the moment we are waiting for further instruction from Han and Fing, I think it will be a good idea.”
Walking out, they had left the building, and just like before all eyes were staring at them, and even Raze noticed it for the first time.
“I have to admit, even for me, this is a bit intimidating,” Raze commented. “I don’t really know what I’m meant to say.”
“You have been quite good at speeches when it comes to it,” Fixteen added. “You are quite inspiring when you are…angry, so maybe try and channel it into your current conversations.”
In the end, they decided that it might be best for them to move in a type of semi-circle. As they approached the group of men, immediately they had bowed down to him. Although Raze had said the words earlier to Rayna, he did not say the same to the other leaders.
It wasn’t the right time, nor did he have the same relationship with the Demonic Clan as he did his other allies. He didn’t even know if the Demonic Clan would be willing to help him yet.
“We are pleased to meet you, we have heard many great things, and I have to say that you seem even greater in person yourself!”
“Yes, yes!” Another added. “And, Dame, Fixteen, Rayna, you have all chosen to follow a great person. I believe that your move was a great one.”
“I don’t think it’s the time to be saying words like that,” Rayna added. “It almost sounds like it was good that we left the Neverfall clan. I want to remind you that Belil was still our father, and this event is to respect the Neverfall and our father.
“Don’t go praising the man in front of you too much, while forgetting everything that Belil has done.”
She didn’t like it that these Demonic Clan leaders were suddenly being so nice not just to her, but Dame and Rayna. In the past, no attention was paid to them, only to their brothers Han and Fing.
Yet now that they had attached themselves to Raze, suddenly they were treating them like this? It made her sick, and usually people that were like this were flimsy and easily could be swayed by other reasons.
After giving their greetings, they were ready to walk off before Raze turned around. “They are not my followers,” Raze said. “They are my allies, and those that I brought with me today, they are my friends.
“I don’t know if that word means much to any of you, but I will explain what it means to me. If they are in a tough situation, then I do what I can to help them. Not for the sake of the clan. Not because of who they know, not because of what they can do to benefit me, but because they are my friends.”
In Raze’s mind, this was the distinction that he had finally made. From those that he would use just to progress further, like the Dark Faction clans and the Demonic Clans, and between those he would help out.
In his mind, he owed them a lot for everything they were doing. His goal was still number one, but he wouldn’t trample on top of them to get to his goal.
As Raze continued to walk around, eventually, a particular individual had approached him. With a black mask covering his face, and a white ragged hood. Bandages ran up his arms and legs as well with a lean frame.
The appearance could only be of one person they knew.
“That’s Lince from the Lost Clan. One of the major three Demonic Factions! What is he going to do?”
“Right, but it’s two major factions, unless we now start counting the town of Flendon…the Crimson Crane…or the Dark Faction people as one of them. This is all starting to get confusing as it blends into one.”
“But…surely, this will either be a clash of two powers, or a type of acceptance of powers,” another added.
When Lince came over, his cheeks rose, showing that he had a bright smile on his face. That was how Raze could tell anyway.
“It seems like today is a big day, today and I’m interested in what the outcome of all of this would be, I hope you have a good plan,” Lince stated. “Because these people need to approve of you, I’ve been gathering information and it seems not everyone in the Demonic Faction does. You’ll have to do something quite spectacular in front of their eyes to have hope in you.”
Lince paused, waiting for Raze to answer, but he didn’t say anything, causing Lince to speak on.
“I have a suggestion that might solve the problem, how about a little fight between us, right here in front of everyone.”

There was clearly a lingering conversation going on between two of the strongest in the Demonic Faction. Everyone was quite curious as to what was happening, but as they saw the two casually talking back and forth, and guessing the facial expressions that Lince was making.
The whole thing felt peaceful, as if the two were getting along, maybe they were imagining it, it was almost friendly.
“What are you suggesting,” Rayna immediately piped up. “To fight each other, on a day like this. This is a respectful event.”

“And I’m talking about a respectful bout,” Lince replied. “I’m not talking about a serious fight, just enough that it would show them that you can match up to me…and by the way, I’m pretty confident if the real thing was to come push and shove I would lose anyway. Think about how embarrassing it is for me to even propose this, all for the sake of propping you up.”
Although Raze thought Lince’s suggestion was sincere, he was imagining how the two of them even could fight in this situation. The land around them was large and wide, but when he thought about the fight he had with Belil, the entire area including all of the buildings would be destroyed.
And that was before he had inherited his power from Belil himself.
“I don’t see how this proposal would work, if the two of us were to fight,” Raze said. “There are just too many that would get in our way-“
In the middle of speaking, Raze lifted his hand, and black magic swirled around, forming his trusted Ghost blade. Immediately, a loud clang was heard, and with it, Qi had rung out in the entire area.
The ground beneath Raze’s foot had broken, creating a small crater.
“What’s going on, that noise!”
“Look, look….Lince just attacked the Dark Magus out of nowhere. I guess they really weren’t friendly after all.”
There was a disgruntled look on Raze’s face as he poured out his Qi to match with Lince’s, but there was no time to ask questions, as Lince continued to attack. He moved, disappearing right from in front of Raze and then appeared by his side.
The dagger was thrusted forward, and again it was blocked with the side of Raze’s weapon. Lince quickly continued to attack with his dagger, using fancy footwork as he moved around. Each step he made left an imprint on the ground.
Dashing in, dashing out, he continued to attack.
“This is the first time I’ve seen the leader of the Lost Clan fight!”
“Right, I’ve only heard of the actions of him and his clan, but never the clan head fighting himself. He’s so fast, I can only see him for a moment when he clashes with the Dark Magus.”
“Don’t you see, though, the one that we should also be impressed by is the Dark Magus. Despite how fast Lince is moving, the heavy Qi that we can feel from each strike, the Dark Magus is blocking them all.”
Lince had to admit that even he was surprised. He knew that Raze’s Qi was impressive, more than his now. His powers stronger due to everything that happened, but was there now this much of a gap between the two of them.
To the point where he could stay in the same place not moving, and continue to block attack after attack.
“You know, because of my last calling with you, I lost my daggers, I had to get a pair of new ones, but I hear that you also create weapons!” Lince threw one of his weapons in the air, and with it, his wrappings started to unwind.
They chased after the dagger and wrapped around the handle. Lince then jumped back and swung the dagger by the edge of the bandage. It had greater momentum, and he was a far distance away from Raze now.
The attack hit from above and was blocked the same as before, but there was a slight twitch in his eye, a change in his reaction.
Lince dived in, and the bandage unraveled from his other hand, and with the two weapons, he started to swing them in the air, creating large momentum all going after Raze. The attacks were coming at an incredible speed, and for the first time, Raze couldn’t just block with his sword.
He now was also moving out of the way, avoiding the strikes as they narrowly missed his face, and he saw them cutting through the air.
“I can’t pull any punches, otherwise it will mean nothing,” Lince claimed. “Oh and, as a thank you, I hope you can make me something special as well. I’m helping you, aren’t I, showing how I fight, what I can do, and with it, you should be able to create something special!”
Lince swung both of his daggers high up in the air and then swung them down towards Raze. The Qi could be seen dragging through the space, almost appearing as if it distorted it, as if they were two large tooth marks that had ripped the space.
Lifting his hand up, a dark ring expanded to his hand, and then he closed his fist, and the dark energy pulsated out, breaking into a large ring above him. When it hit the daggers, it cleared it out of the way.
“Haha, so you could have stopped that all along with a simple use like that, huh?” Lince asked. “It seems you aren’t shy about using your magic anymore at least.”
Raze then firmly gripped the sword in his hand. “I guess to earn their respect, I have to do something myself.”
Raze lifted the sword above his head, getting ready to strike.
“STOP!” A voice shouted from the side, and two people had landed right in between where the two were fighting. “What do you two think you’re doing!” Fing shouted.

The situation was quite exciting for the Demonic Clan, who was watching one thing after the other occur. The Dark Magus and Lince fighting against each other, showing a display of skills.
It allowed the adrenaline to flow through their bodies. Witnessing strength and bouts was one of the favorite pastimes for those in the Demonic Clan.
Now, though, there was more gas that was being thrown into the fire that had already been brewing, as Fing and Han had arrived.
“Why are the two of you fighting, on a day like this!” Fing asked again, and he wasn’t alone, his brother was by his side as well.
Immediately, Lince had placed his daggers away as he looked towards the two, and bowed down.
“It’s my pleasure being invited to this event today. Me and your father were close,” Lince stated.
“Right, close enough to the point where you cause and do something like this on a day where we are meant to lay him to rest,” Fing complained.
The crowd was grumbling and talking amongst each other. They knew the strength and infamy of Fing and Han. It was always the two of them that would act out on the important tasks.
Whether that was in the Demonic Faction or outside, so the people were more clear on their strength than even Belil’s. It always felt like the two of them were being trained to take over the position in the Neverfall Clan one day.
Now, that day might have come, but there was just one variable on their mind.
“Did the two of you not know your father very well?” Lince finally said, as he continued to stay standing upright.
“What did you say?” Han asked. Usually the calmer of the two, was slightly enraged.
“I already told the two of you, that I was a good friend of your father’s,” Lince explained. “We were close in a number of different ways, and out of respect for him, I gave the two of you respect.
“I know what your father would like and dislike on the day of his death more than the two of you it seems, and I also know if he was there, he would have made it so the two of you respected me as well. I gave both of you courtesy and neither of you has shown it back in any way.”
The other Clan leaders, particularly the older ones, agreed as they nodded their heads in the background. Although they were here because of the Neverfall Clan, Lince was an incredibly large figure when it came to the Demonic Faction.
He was an elder and one of great power. Whereas Han and Fing were not yet the clan leaders of the Neverfall Clan. Yet, they had shown no respect to Lince, not even returning the bow.
Of course, to Raze, who still didn’t quite understand the courtesy or culture of those in Pagna, didn’t notice any of this.
“The two of you, in a time like this should be focusing on building your relationships, not taking them away,” Lince claimed.
After finishing those words, Lince was ready to walk away and had even turned his back, but almost immediately he turned around and lifted up his dagger, stopping fingertips embedded with Qi from reaching his throat.
“This is a new generation!” Fing claimed. “I’m tired of it, I’m tired of the people like you doing nothing but ordering us around, yet you want us to be the one that goes in first for this change.
“We are going to be a new era that changes things!” Fing shouted.
“And look at this, now you resort to attacking me, is that really alcohol that is now in that gourd?” Lince replied. “You attacked me, remember this, and it is not the same situation as me and the Dark Magus were fighting in before.”
Lince then scratched his dagger to the side and appeared right behind Fing. He then swung his foot into the side of Fing and kicked him down into the ground.
Fing threw his dagger along with his bandages down to the ground, ready to follow up with another attack, but a strange sound was heard, and with it, the daggers were hit and thrown off the path, hitting the ground next to Fing.
“I may not always agree with my brother’s actions, but this time the two of us are of the same mindset, and I will always protect my family,” Han said with the flute in his hand.
Fing had gotten off the floor, and he opened up his gourd, drinking the liquid and contents inside, and a giant explosive burst of Qi surrounded him.
The Demonic Clan members were wondering if they were going to see a full-on fight between Lince and both Han and Fing. Having something like this happen at this stage would solidify the positions within the clans again.
It was then that Fing had retracted both of his daggers and had combined the Qi into them both. The two brothers on the other side had charged their attacks, and both of them were thrown into the center.
They were ready to clash in the middle, until a giant wave of darkness had appeared between both of them. Appearing right down the center.
The darkness was dark magic, which had completely obliterated both of the Qi and created a solid line in the floor. When the Dark Magic began to disappear, Raze was seen standing there in its place.
“The Dark Magus…stopped all of those attacks.”

“Maybe this is going to be a two against one, since Lince and the Dark Magus seemed to be pretty close with one another.”
“Yeah, or maybe he thinks it’s just unfair.”
Standing next to the Dark Magus was another individual.
“Stop it,” Rayna said. “As you both said, this is now not the time for fighting, and you, Lince, know this fighting will get us nowhere. Besides, it’s time…the time for the funeral is upon us all.”
