The Crimson Crane continued on their task of helping out those in the Demonic Faction. They were using their various skills and weapons to take out a large amount, and had even managed to push back some of the golems to the point where they were waiting for them to appear out from a fissure.

Seeing a group in trouble, Lily quickly ran over to where she needed to be, she jumped up in the air, and pointed the tip of her golden metal spear, with a black tip, to the ground. The black tip started to light up, shining until it blasted on the ground.
It destroyed several golems and also propelled her further until she had managed to reach where one of the clans were having trouble. She swiftly used her spear attacking those around her, stabbing them.
When her spear thrust through the golems, the bodies looked like they were heating up, until they exploded, throwing parts of dirt in all sorts of different locations.
“The Crimson Crane really do have talented people, they only let in some of the best, we should go in and help her!” One of the clan members said.
The rest agreed, continuing to swing their weapons at the golems coming at them. They noticed that the golems seemed to have a level of intelligence, because now that they saw that Lily was actively taking care of a large number of them, they started to focus their attention on her.
Even some of the larger golems were coming her way. As the group were coming closer to help, they started to notice something, an incredible heat had hit them as they were getting closer. Even the air looked blurry and distorted.
Sweat was pouring out from their bodies, and the warriors weren’t so sure they could go in any further to where Lily was.
“It’s not a good idea for you guys to get close to me!” Lily shouted. “All of you, you need to step back!” Lily shouted as she continued to thrust the spear. Once in a while as she thought, she would place the tip of the spear in the air, then pointed it and fired out another blast of energy that looked somewhat like a heat ray.
“Listen to her, no one move in closer!” One of the clan members said, but it might have been a little too late, as he saw one of his men already collapsed on the ground covered in sweat. He quickly picked him up and moved away from the scene as he regrouped with the others.
“What about helping the Crimson Crane woman, is everything okay?” The man asked.
“It’s fine, she seems to be able to handle herself, and besides I have a feeling that the one that was causing all of that, it’s the woman herself,” the clan head answered.
He had managed to survive getting close to Lily, but he imagined if more of his men had moved forward they would be passed out from the intense heat just like this one. The heat somewhat reminded him of some of the areas of the Neverfall Clan that they would meet.
As he continued to watch the girl, he started to notice something.
’The power she’s using… it’s not Qi, is that why she can keep fighting this entire time!’
Lily lifted up her spear directed at the sun once more, and right after now that enough energy had been absorbed, she twirled it in the air above her head. Several rays of heat were hitting the golems, sending them back and spreading out.
Then, she slammed it right into the floor. Rays of heat traveled out from the bottom of the spear, and when they hit the golems in the center of the body almost all of those around her had crumbled.
“That speed, that strength, and that stamina, she doesn’t even look tired, but she’s been attacking with full force this entire time. How is that even possible?” The clan leader thought.
The answer was all of it was to do with the Mythical Ranked cursed spear she had.
The Sunspear of the Forsaken Dawn. The spear gained its power from the sun itself, and passed it onto the user. The power would allow the user to revitalize its Qi as well as draw more power into the weapon allowing it to do a number of things.
Such as the skills and techniques she had already shown with the spear so far. These were handy in battle and wasn’t part of the Qi that Lily could use, meaning her strength with the attacks would just be as strong.
With the added power from the spear, Lily felt like she could continue to fight forever, but that wasn’t the case, because of the curse itself, she hadn’t felt the full effects at work yet, but the curse she knew it would wear on her eventually.
The wielder of the weapon would start to have an obsession with daylight. Eventually they would begin to dread seeing the sun go down and the shadows of the dark appearing. Just as one was strong during a sunny day, if it was cold or at night, the spear would have no power at all.
And the spear’s weakness was passed onto the wielder. They would feel as if the shadows and darkness was a constant weight that was pressing at them at all times, and if going for a prolonged time with the spear obtaining no sunlight whatsoever, it would start to descend the wielder into madness.
Right now, since the daylight was strong Lily had nothing to worry about, but she hoped that she would never have to fight at night again, and each night she feared the worst. Her mind playing tricks on her as she would see the sun go down.
“But that’s the risk… that I’ve chosen to take… just like everyone else!”
As for the person who had the worst of all curses, it was Alba. With one of the stronger Legendary Ranked Items, it also meant she had one of the more stronger curses.

Alba’s two blades were impressive, especially in the looks department, allowing them to catch attention from almost anywhere in the battlefield. The base of the weapon, as well as the weapon itself, was primarily black, while the edge of the weapon shined gold.
It was a unique look to a sword, and perhaps compared to all of the other weapons, it had the largest marking of DM on them. She slashed through several golems as she performed a tornado of Qi attacks.
Slicing a group of them around her, as she slashed through one, on the side of the weapon, the markings of DM could clearly be seen.

“The leader of the Crimson Crane… she’s more fluid compared to the other members, that’s for sure,” the Demonic Faction warriors who were fighting against the golems themselves had mentioned.
When Alba was fighting, it seemed like she knew perfectly where everything was on the battlefield. She could attack behind her and then move position to where she was in a better place to deal with the higher numbers.
There were even times where she had thrown one of her swords, hitting a golem, almost killing another member. This was in the middle of her own fight. Then right after, she was still able to swing and hack her way until she had retrieved her sword once again.
The Demonic Faction were paying close attention to the Crimson Crane for good reason. They believed that it was the bulk of the force that Raze had used to be able to get to the position that he was in today.
After seeing what their items and skills could do, this thought stayed true in their mind. Seeing all of the special powers, they wondered what could Alba do. As leader of the Crimson Crane, surely the items or the things she could do was no less.
However, as they watched her fight, although impressive, they saw nothing different or out of the ordinary. She was fighting just how other clan leaders would fight. In some ways, it was less impressive as she didn’t really have any special arts or techniques that she would use that only belonged to her clan.
As Alba continued to attack around her, she started to think about when the weapons were handed to her, and what was said by Raze.
’I wonder… if I should have just given these things back, or asked if someone else would have wanted them,’ Alba thought. ’I’m sure there are a lot of people out there that would happily use them… but for me, there’s just an unsettling feeling.’
’I still took them, because if our enemy got their hands on these things, then it would be… troublesome, incredibly troublesome to deal with,’ Alba thought.
She leapt up from her position and stabbed the golem with both of her swords right in the chest, and then spun behind her, dealing with another one. She felt like these creatures were endless and was really hoping they could find the person responsible, and if not them, then someone else in this group.
Surely with them clearing all of the golems, someone could find the person responsible for this.
A thought had crossed her mind, of maybe using the power of her dual weapons, but she shook it off.
The power of the swords were extraordinary. Raze stated that the swords could be activated in a certain way, and if done so, then it would double the wielder’s power. This meant speed, strength, stamina, everything about the person.
The stronger the person was, the more of an effect it would have. The power increase though, was limited to five minutes. Which usually would be enough time to end a fight at least. What was even more significant about it was that the effect could be used twice.
It meant one’s strength would double, and then double again. It suited Alba’s style of fighting in many ways. When fighting against a large number of opponents like this, it was practically useless unless she wanted to get rid of everyone quickly.
So why wouldn’t she use such a powerful ability of the weapons now? First, it was because such an effect could only be used once a day. Technically, she could use the ability of the weapons twice.
The ability came from each weapon, so she could either power herself for five minutes, and then power herself again later in the day for another five minutes. Or she could use both of them at the same time, in order to double the effect.
The weapons were impressive and strong themselves, so there was no need to right now, but the main reason right now was due to the curse the weapon held.
’Each time the user will use it, they will lose something… what does that even mean… what… will I lose?’
Due to the curse itself not being clear, Alba didn’t even want to test it, yet she reluctantly had done with the others. She needed to know just how strong the weapon would be to use it in battle. After using it though, she had no clue what she had lost.
She tried to check everything she could, but she had no idea what had been lost. Because of this, it made her even more fearful of what could happen, and Raze had given her next to no guidance. So for now, the best thing to do in her mind was to never use the ability of the swords unless it came down to her losing her life.
’There’s a lot of people here, so I doubt that I’ll have to use it.’
The moment Alba thought of those words, she could feel something, a trembling Qi that was coming from her side. It felt familiar yet different at the same time. When she turned to look, walking through the golems, she could see a female wearing dark-colored cloth.
She had presumed she was female due to her body structure and shape. By her side, she held onto a sword, but the reason Alba couldn’t tell for sure was because she had a full-on helmet that covered her face completely.
The presence of this single person among the golems had caught the attention of everyone, including Rayna.
“That’s… the woman with the iron helmet… it’s another Deleter… they sent three Deleters!” Rayna said.

Fing was currently disheartened, he was in a state of panic not knowing what was going on, and he was currently being led by Rayna and Dame. He was just going with the flow, going through the number of people that were fighting.
The only thing he could hear once in a while was a small bang. Each time it was of another warrior’s head exploding.
“It looks like he’s targeting us, we have to find him somehow!” Rayna shouted as she spun her sword across the ground, creating a small dust barrier. Running through other people and creating a dust barrier were the only things she could do at the moment to keep them safe.
“We can’t just wait for Raze and the others to figure out, but I have no idea of finding out where they are,” Dame said. “And it’s hard with Fing being like this…Fing.”
Dame looked at the man with lost eyes, while still carrying Han’s body on top of him. He was in his transformed state, but the Neverfall Clan was at a loss of what to do with the current situation they were in.
The Crimson Crane, among those that were close to Raze, knew the devastation of the Deleters well. They had learned of that fact when one had attacked the Dark Faction academy. The rumors of their power were spread and was a warning.
They were true, the Deleters from Alter had the power to eliminate entire clans, and some of those at the very top, and now they were witnessing it in person. For Alter to send three of them, it was proof that it was serious business, and that they wanted to make some sort of impact.
“We were having enough trouble dealing with these golems, and now she comes?” Alba said as she held both of the swords in front of her, she knew it was going to be bad news and it wasn’t just her, as Lilly came landing right next to her, and on her other side Tilion with his large shield.
“The others are helping the clans out, so it looks like it’s just going to be us three, are we going to be enough?” Tilion asked.
“I don’t like that attitude,” Alba said. “If you’re thinking like that, then we’re already losing the battle in our heads. It’s different now, we all have weapons of the Dark Magus.”
When Alba spoke, it was almost as if she was trying to convince herself. Because she could feel it, the powerful unsettling feeling. When looking at the warrior wearing the helmet, the Qi wasn’t spread out wild whirling in the air and on show.
In fact, it was very faint around one’s body. Almost shaking due to how condensed the Qi was. If that was the case, then what was it that they could feel? The only answer was the small vibrations the condensed Qi was sending out once in a while.
Just feeling that power alone made them aware of it, and it reminded them a lot of a particular someone.
“A warrior, fighting on the side of Alter….do you really think you’re on the right side?” Alba said.

“Talking…” The helmeted Deleter said. “Is useless!”
Kicking off from their feet, they had leapt across and ripped the ground apart. A couple of golems were swept up in the Qi and had crumbled just from her movement. Seeing this, Alba was a little worried to block the attack head on, thankfully she had Tilion by her side.
He moved in front, blocking the blow with his shield. Massive amounts of Qi was absorbed and had gone into the shield, taking the hit. Lifting it, the edge was glowing with power, and Tilion went for a strike to hit the person’s head.
The sword was met straight on, and skimmed against the shield. Due to the shield’s effects, Tilion wasn’t struck back, but easily stayed in position.
At the same time, Lily thrusted her spear forward, the tip of it glowing with power. The helmeted warrior lifted the weapon, and stomped right on the tip, pushing it to the ground. The energy burst inside, and went deep, firing into the ground and causing the place to rumble.
“Well, I knew it still wouldn’t be easy, so I should have at least expected this much,” Alba said as she charged from above with both swords in her hands. The edge lit up with red energy and her visual Qi, as she went down and struck.
Tilion charged forward using his energy, and Lily was doing her best to make sure that if she had the chance, she could strike.
Right then, Alba struck right against the woman’s chest, delivering a large x-shape strike. It pushed her back, causing rips on her shirt and cuts on the woman’s chest. She was flung back and rolled across the ground.
When Alba landed, she was left slightly confused, as she looked at herself.
“Well, either that was a lot easier than I imagined…or we’re now a lot stronger compared to before.”
For Tilion though, he could tell based on how much energy was in the shield from when he struck and delivered to him. He had even taken some of the strongest blows from Sha Mo. There was a lot of power.
Although the three of them were skilled, he just imagined that someone, a Deleter with frightening Qi like that, would have some way to get out of that situation, but she had been hit straight on.
Slowly as they looked off, they could see the helmeted Deleter rising from the ground.
“She’s up, which I expected as much,” Alba said. “We need to be ready to use everything we have for what’s to come. This is a Deleter we’re talking about, they wouldn’t make just anyone a Deleter.”
All of them agreed and nodded in unison.
When the helmeted warrior stood back up, she lifted her sword in the air, and as she did, the Qi started to wrap around the weapon, turning it obsidian black.
“Is that…” Tilion asked.
“Second formation, of the Dark Edge sword arts!” The Deleter claimed. “Eclipse strike!”

The moment they saw the female warrior with the helmet on their head, there was a strange feeling that they could all sense from the individual, a feeling of familiarity that was given off. They couldn’t quite put their finger on it, due to the situation at hand, and when they finally could, it was somewhat too late.
The sword was lifted by the Deleter in the air, the energy surrounding it was heavy and dark, and right after the sword was swung down as the word had left her lips.
“Eclipse strike!” From above, a wave of Qi was struck down as the Deleter swung her sword.
The air was consumed by the dark Qi, and seeing the strike brought back goosebumps to the three Crimson Crane members that stood in its way.
“Don’t block that, I’m not sure your shield can take it!” Alba shouted.
She knew the effects of Tilion’s shield, and she didn’t want to lose an individual close to her. If the attack was as strong as Raze’s, it would be a problem. As they saw the Qi strike coming at them, all three decided to jump away from the strike, but when they did, they found themselves moving towards the Qi.
As if their bodies were being sucked in to be hit by it.
“What is this…” Lily asked.
Alba never thought this would be the case. Since she knew it was the dark edge sword arts, the same dark edge sword arts that Raze used. She believed that it would act the same way, maybe it would only be slightly weaker.
Instead, the effect she could feel, she could only imagine it being one thing.
‘The special trait of the Dark Qi…she’s managed to unlock it.’
The only other person she knew who was able to do this was Murkel. Pulling people into his Qi and attacks. Now there was a second, and with the techniques being performed, it was a deadly combination forcing them to be hit by the strike.
“Attack!” Alba shouted, thinking fast as she gathered her Qi and sliced at the giant wave. Lily hearing the words, her spear lit up and she shoved it forward, attacking the large Qi blast.
Both of their attacks struck the large Qi strike, diminishing part of it away, but it was still large in size and still there. Eventually, it was Tilion who had gotten in the way and shoved his shield down into the ground, holding onto it.
“Get behind me!” Tilion shouted.
With nothing else, both of the females held onto one shoulder of Tilion as they crouched behind the shield. The attack, like a wave, went past them almost consuming all three of them, until it disappeared, and Tilion was seen standing in place.
The power re-energizing him, once more now that it was back in the shield like it was before.
“We have to trust in the Dark Magus’s weapons,” Tilion said. “This is strong, and it can at least hold up to that level of attack.”
Although Tilion said those words, Alba still wasn’t too sure. If she and Lily hadn’t used their attacks, then maybe the raw power would have broken the shield. And now sensing the power, seeing how the Qi, or the strike, outweighed theirs, this was a problem in itself.
“Alba!” Lily shouted as she jumped forward.
She could see that the Deleter was already charging toward them and running ahead, following up from her last strike. Lily shot out beams of energy from her spear, but they were deflected by the Deleter’s weapon each time.
Charging forward, Lily thrusted the spear, and the two weapons made contact. The sword scraped against the spear, pushing it until it was up in the air. Right after Lily’s spear was deflected though, she repositioned her spear and went to strike again.
The power of the spear was in effect, and she could feel herself being regenerated and the strength traveled through her hands. She shoved the spear towards the Deleter’s legs to slow them down, and the tip of the spear had cut right through the woman’s thigh.
Yet not for a second did the Deleter flinch, and was getting ready to strike her sword right into Lily’s chest.
“NO!” Tilion shouted, the edge of his shield was glowing and it had been thrown. The Qi from the Deleter’s sword had weaved around it, intertwining like vines. This was the first formation of the Dark edge sword arts.
As the Deleter swung it through the air, the Dark Qi expanded out like it was vines and wrapped itself around the shield. The Qi had left from the Deleter’s hands immediately and wrapped around the shield, bringing it to the ground and to a complete stop.
The Deleter was ready to attack Lily again, but Alba was already upon her. A strike was blocked by the Deleter at the last moment and a relentless strikes. The two were clashing with each other, sending shockwaves with each strike. Experience more tales on My Virtual Library Empire
As they exchanged blows with their weapons. Alba was noticing something strange.
‘She’s recovering quickly…is that what it is, there’s almost no give when she goes from one attack to the next…what is it?’ Alba thought. There was something else about the Deleter that she couldn’t put her finger on, that was making the fight incredibly hard for them.
Now facing her in close combat, it was becoming clearer, but still she didn’t understand it. The skill the two had, and the levels of Qi due to the items they had were quite similar, yet why was it that it felt that eventually she would lose out this fight.
A strong blow delivered by the Deleter had pushed Alba back, skidding her feet across the ground. Alba was ready to jump in, when she was seeing another move she didn’t like the look of.
The Deleter held the sword close to her chest, and Qi was gathering towards the back of the weapon.
“I really don’t think Tilion can block this one…” Alba gritted her teeth, and if that was the case, there might just be only one thing she could do.

Explore hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire
On the battlefield, Raze could tell that there were three major threats spread across the field, he could feel it. The mage that was controlling the earth golems, creating an army for them to fight against.
Based on the large fissures, he could tell either he was an incredibly highly skilled mage in earth magic, or the most likely suspect was that he had an artifact that enhanced his powers.
He was hiding among the others, and due to how these golems were being made and produced. It was hard to find where the original source was. However, getting rid of this individual first would clear up the field, allowing them to use more people.
Then there were two more unsettling feelings he had. The mage that was exploding the heads of the Demonic Clan. Powerful enough to get rid of someone like Han, meant they could also take out important allies that Raze had as well.
People that he had trusted finally and had gifted them weapons to aid him in the war. If they were to be killed or he was to lose them, his fight against Alter would become extremely difficult. Alter had made a gamble by sending out three Deleters, because it would be a big bulk of their power.
If the task failed, then they would be weakened, and Raze felt like it was a perfect chance for a counterattack.
Then there was the mysterious source of power that he could feel. Currently, he had a tornado of wind magic surrounding him, Liam, Simyon, and Safa. They were safe from the onslaught that Garlon was doing on the outside, but it was making it so his view was being obstructed as well.
“Can you feel that Qi?” Safa asked.
“Yeah…it’s really reminding me of Murkel. He can’t be here, right?” Simyon asked. “He can’t be working for the Deleters or Alter that’s crazy talk.”
“I for one hope that we never see Murkel again and he’s just scurried off for the rest of his life,” Liam added.
The three couldn’t agree more. They weren’t just talking though while staying in the tornado-filled cover of dust. They were waiting for Safa to track where the magic was being used, by one of the Deleters in Raze’s mind one of the bigger threats.
They had been moving in the direction where Safa had pointed, each time she saw a strike appear. Raze would move along, and move the wind magic with him. Once in a while, larger powerful golems would get through the wind magic of dust.
It wasn’t too hard to do, as Raze was using it for cover rather than an attack, but once they got through, both Liam and Simyon’s jobs were to get rid of them.
Every once in a while though, there was a distraction for Safa. She could feel and sense a similar energy coming from her side, and the clashing powers. When she turned her head to look at the distraction, she noticed that Raze was looking in the same place as well.
“Raze..” Safa muttered and then tensed her fist. “Leave this to us. We can deal with this mage, when we find him we’ll take care of him, remember there’s three of us, and we’ve been through a lot. As for you, you should go deal with whatever that is.”
Even now while speaking, Raze was looking at the third direction. The third source of energy. Although he had no clue what the person was capable of, or what they could do, the fact that it felt familiar, it was bugging him, and he was itching to just check it out.
“Remember what I said.” A voice whispered in Raze’s mind. “That girl right now, she might even be stronger than you.”
The group had gone through some big changes without Raze, and he had to put his trust in them in a situation like this, where they were up against three Deleters, after all he couldn’t be in all places at once, unlike someone else he knew.
“This wind magic will linger for a few moments, all of you be ready, and Simyon, I want you to do whatever you can to protect Safa…but I don’t want to lose you as well.” Raze said.
With those words, Raze was off as he pushed through and vanished out of the wind.
“Hey…what about me?” Liam asked, pointing at himself.
——
Back on the field, Safa, Lily and Tilion were finding it difficult fighting against the Deleter. Not only did they know the Dark Edge sword arts, but they knew how to activate the trait of Dark Qi. Having a gravitational-like pull when the Qi was used.
In particular, when the Dark Edge sword art techniques were used, this was extremely powerful. On top of all of that, there was something else that had bothered Alba, she still didn’t know what it was, but it wasn’t either of these two things.
Regardless, she had bigger things to worry about for what was about to happen next to her. Because she could see something devastating happening in front of her eyes.
Having seen Raze fight a multiple number of times, they knew what was coming next. It was the Void pulse strike. An attack that focused all power on a single point, and it was perfect for destroying people with a strong defense and Tilion had exactly that.
Tilion had picked up his shield from the ground, the first Dark edge sword art was no longer working, but when he tried to move away, he could feel his feet dragging forward and him being stuck in the same position he was.
“Tilion can’t run…I have to do something…I have to.” With no choice, Alba could only use her weapons in this situation and deal with the curse. Just as she was about to, strong gusts of wind went past her hair.
The Deleter had gathered up the Qi needed behind the weapon.
“Void pulse strike!” The Qi exploded right behind, thrusting her sword forward toward the shield.
In the middle of her strike, a man had landed right in front of her, wearing a long flowing blazer. Then with the sword in his hand, he was ready.
“The 4th Dark Edge sword art, Void pulse strike!” Raze shouted.
