Dark Magus Returns #Chapter 1156: Why A Deleter? – Read Dark Magus Returns Chapter 1156: Why A Deleter? Online – All Page – Novel Bin

Due to the large amount of golems that had attacked the clan, they had believed that it was a portal break, when the truth was it was Kush all along. This first large attack of Kush’s was what had brought the attention of Alter to him.

That’s where he had met Heino. He had figured from the words and rumors as well as the reports that this had to be the doing of a mage, when he had found Kush he was quite surprised that it wasn’t the case.

Heino, in many ways, had become fascinated with Kush’s research and brought him into the main base of Alter fairly quickly. Unlike the others, he wanted to keep Kush close to him to help him with various projects.

As a gift of their relationship, that was when the special stone had been given to him. One that could allow him to see through his creations. It was an artifact that Alter had, but holding onto it wasn’t very practical.

Things weren’t always perfect at Alter. There would be arguments and disagreements among members. This was partly the reason why the Deleters had been created, to have a structure and create fear within the group.

In one such situation, a group of Pagna warriors that were working for Alter were frustrated and had attacked the base. In the attack, Kush had gotten hurt. Inside the base, there wasn’t much earth for him to use, in fact there was none.

And without it, he was pretty much useless in battle. Due to the attack, Kush had ended up losing one eye. On top of that, there was one more thing that had grown in Kush’s mind. It was his hatred for Pagna warriors.

From the day he had come to Pagna, it wasn’t the regular people that ever gave him trouble, he had even made friends with many of them. It was always the Pagna warriors that were ruining his life. The thoughts had already planted a seed in his head, and now being directly affected by it, even in Alter himself, the hatred had grown immensely.

The hatred had grown so much that Kush even wished to leave Alter, and was ready to dedicate his work to destroying the clans all around Pagna. Of ridding the place so the regular citizens could live, and he would do it all with his staff.

Instead, Heino proposed something else. He altered the special item given, so he could input it into his left eye. The damaged eye, now not only could he see, but he could see through his golems and creations.

It had increased his power exponentially, and it had increased the relationship of the two. In return, he would continue working for Alter, but no longer so much as a researcher but instead as a Deleter.

Whenever there was a case or task assigned that needed Pagna warriors, and especially a large amount of them eliminated, Kush would be sent for the job. This was Kush’s journey into becoming a Deleter, and how he had happily accepted the job, of eliminating as many of the Demonic Faction as possible. Instagram: Jksmanga*Patreon: jksmanga

There was an extra ability that Kush’s staff allowed him to do, that he could travel through the ground as long as it was made from earth. This was how he was able to move through the battlefield and continuously change direction.

He couldn’t just stay underground though, as there was a slight catch. He needed to hold his breath to use the ability. Going through the ground was similar to going underwater. He could somewhat see but not clearly, and there wasn’t really anything underground anyway.

He was more so using the ability of the golems to guide him to where he needed to be. Then would pop up at the perfect place every time anyone got close to him.

Kush lifted his hand up and touched his left eye.

“That was a close one, I thought I was going to get hit again. I can’t let them get close to me. I can’t let those disgusting things even touch me!”

As Kush said this, he noticed something on the battlefield though. Alba, Cronker, Tilion, Lily, as well as Forma, and Reno, they had gathered together, and were easily defeating the golems as they were making their way towards him.

‘It has to be a coincidence, right?’ Kush thought as he moved carefully, and stood close by where the other Demonic warriors were attacking, and he even moved some of the golems so they blocked the line of sight.

It would be impossible to spot him even if they knew what he looked like. There was no chance for them to even see him with the mess going on with the battlefield, but when he checked through the eyes of the golem, he could see that they were already extremely close to him.

‘No, they’re too close, they’re too close!’ Kush thought as he took a deep breath and then dived back into the ground. He moved as far away as he could but made sure to stay within the confines of the battlefield.

If he was outside, it would be too obvious and his powers only worked within a certain range. He also still had no idea what had happened to Garlon, or what was happening to Kush. When he appeared again, he had appeared in the center of the battlefield.

He even pretended to do battle with one of the golems he was controlling, blocking the hits, lightly as he did the same before, blocking the path from all angles this time. He chose one of the very corners of the fighting field and brought a lot of distance between him and the Crimson Crane.

Yet when he looked through the eyes of his golems, he could see the same thing, the entirety of the Crimson Crane were coming towards him, destroying the golems on their way, and it was immediate.

It wasn’t a guess, it was clear they knew exactly where he was.

‘How can this be, how can they find me each time, it has to be a coincidence!’

Worried out of his mind, Kush decided to hold his breath one more time and moved himself to the north location where the fight was taking place. Rather than wasting any time, he looked through his golems and could see that the Crimson Crane had made a turn to where he was.

Now he was 100 percent sure, the Crimson Crane knew exactly where he was.

‘No matter where I go, they’re going to find me. I can’t just keep moving around the fields as well. It takes energy from the crystal to do that…and I’m already using a lot of energy making the golems.’

Kush knew going back in the ground at this rate was useless. Somehow they had figured out how to locate him, so he could only do one thing.

“He’s moved this way now!” Cronker shouted as he quickly jumped from one golem to the next and cut their necks apart, causing them to fall down.

“Are you sure!” Kizer shouted. “This is like the fifth time you’ve sent us in another location, are you sure your trail worked.”

“Do you doubt me? I threw the solution on him perfectly. It’s attached to every piece of clothing he has, and has seeped through to his skin. Even if he removed his skin, I can track him down. This is part of what I do. I don’t tell you how to swing your large sword around!” Cronker said angrily.

The two looked like they were about to butt heads before Alba came right in the middle of the two of them and slashed a golem in half.

“Cronker is right, he’s not leading us to different places, it’s quite obvious what is happening now. He’s catching onto us, that we can now figure out where he is, but he keeps moving,” Alba answered.

“Then what do you suggest we do?” Reno asked. “If he keeps moving, then every time we get close to him, he will just move again. Do you want each of us to split up?”

Alba thought about it, there were enough people that could cover the fighting area from the Crimson Crane. The main issue was only Cronker could tell the scent and the direction of where the Deleter was in.

“For now, let’s just push forward!” Alba answered as she thought about it.

However, for the first time, as the group pushed forward, Cronker wasn’t telling them to change direction, stating that they were still up ahead, and as they were ready to move forward, a large fissure appeared right in front of them.

A crack in the ground where a large amount of golems had appeared.

“He’s changed his tactic, is he trying to get rid of us, well that’s not going to work!” Alba said as she fought and broke through, and when they finally reached their location, they could see the Deleter was no longer surrounded by other people.

He wasn’t in a fighting area, and there were no golems around him. Instead, he was only around thirty or so meters away from them, standing right in front of him.

“That’s him!” Kizer shouted.

“Right…but just what is he up to…” Alba questioned.

“It doesn’t matter, we have to get to him before he moves away again!” Kizer shouted as he charged in first.

Kizer was always hot-headed and rash, and it suited his fighting style. He had a large sword and immense fighting power that once started he wouldn’t stop until he died. In combat, he was extremely helpful when it came to fighting against a large number of opponents, which was why he always liked the weapon that was handed to him by the Dark Magus.

As he charged forward, he saw a large multitude of golems appear from the fissure. There were three large ones, beasts that were around 4 meters in height with long tails, and a small platoon of human-sized ones.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment, these things were easy for me to dispose of, so I didn’t even bother using a skill until right now!” Kizer said, as he placed his sword to the side, and it started to light up. He then stopped running and bent his knees, placing the sword to his side.

Before pushing off with his leg and at the same time swinging his leg out.

“Cut, the world!” Kizer shouted as he performed one of his own made techniques. A large slash of Qi went out, and hit all of the golems that were directly in front of them. The attack had gone through them and it seemed as if nothing had occurred, before the Qi looked to have exploded, shattering them into nothing but rocks that fell onto the ground.

Right after, the rest of the Crimson Crane were seen running right past him.

“It looks like you can do something good once in a while,” Lilly said.

Joining at the back, Kizer had decided to move forward as well, and now the entirety of the Crimson Crane could directly see the Deleter in front of them.

“We can’t let him escape!” Cronker, now close, went to charge forward and kick off, and the rest were ready to follow up with their attacks.

Alba was following, but she still didn’t like it. She didn’t like the fact that this entire time, the Deleter had yet to move, and then she saw him tap the ground with the bottom of his spear. Everyone didn’t know what happened.

As soon as he touched the flooring with the bottom of his spear, they could see the Deleter getting smaller and smaller, until they realized, it was almost as if the distance between them, it had never been closed at all.

“That’s the fissure the golems I destroyed just came out of,” Kizer pointed with his sword. It was around ten meters up ahead. He was sure of it, because he could see the markings from his own foot that he had made.

“Did we teleport back here?” Forma asked.

It certainly did feel like that, but that wasn’t quite right, because it wasn’t instant. It was fast, but even though they were moving forward, they could see the Deleter moving further ahead.

“He moved the ground,” Alba finally said. “This guy, he can control the earth like it’s the back of his palm. He just moved us through the ground and pushed us back to where we were.”

The others couldn’t quite believe it. If he moved the floor, shouldn’t there be some type of marking or platform, shouldn’t they have felt something at least?

There were small movements underneath, and it was seamless. The ground they were on was shifting and pulling back, rather than just part of it being moved, it was the entire area that was being controlled, which was why it felt so seamless.

“How can someone have so much power, that can’t be possible, right?” Tilion asked.

“We are going up against a Deleter guys, this is the type of power that we should expect,” Alba said, gripping her two blades, wondering just what it was they could do. They had been chasing the Deleter around for the longest time.

Finally, thanks to Cronker, they could track where he was, but now it was useless. Instead of him running away, he was pushing them back. Could they even get close to him?

“HAHHA!” Kush laughed from a distance as he could see they were confused, just based on how they stood there unsure about what to do. “I won’t let any of you filthy warriors touch me!”

Tapping the ground again, fissures had appeared all over where the Crimson Crane members were placed. They crossed around them in an almost hexagon shape, and several large golems as well as plenty of small ones were starting to appear.

Due to the concentration of golems appearing around the Crimson Crane, the number looked to lessen elsewhere on the battlefield as well.

“Push through, we have to push through, and go after him!” Alba shouted.

Forma was confident in the Crimson Crane’s powers, so while they were fighting, she got down on one knee, and right through the cracks in the open space, she then let go, and fired out the red arrow.

It was made from her special crafted bow that was from within, made from the Dark Magus. She didn’t want to take any chances and wanted it to hit her mark. As it got close though, several walls of earth rose.

The arrows went through around three walls of thickness before it stopped and the energy had disappeared.

“Did you think I was helpless, I can see everything you’re trying to do before you do it. So I can always block or push you back until all of you run out of Qi!!” Kush laughed to himself.

The Crimson Crane members couldn’t hear what was being said, but they strived forward as they defeated all of the golems and ran through once again. They started to run straight for Kush and the distance between them was closing again.

“He will just do the same Alba!” Reno said. “Do you have a plan?”

“I have a plan….” Alba answered. “I was…worried about using it before, but with everyone else, sacrificing so much, I can afford to lose something…right.”

She readied herself and watched carefully for just the right moment, for when Kush would tap the bottom of his staff on the ground.

It wasn’t the first time that Alba had considered using her special weapon’s power. The great power that would double her overall strength if used. She had thought about it when meeting the Deleter with the iron helmet.

The truth was though, she had hesitated to use it, and she knew the reason why. She was scared, scared of what the effect of the Curse would entail to her. The effects, the unknown, and not having it be a consistent thing.

It deeply frightened her, and more so than she thought. Every time when she thought about using it, she could feel all the cells in her body shaking, fighting, and pleading her to not use the effect of the weapon.

So this time, when she charged forward with the plan to use the effect of the sword again, she needed to think what was different. Her body was still trembling, her mind, her heart, every ounce of her didn’t want to go through what she was about to do.

But it made her wonder, is this how everyone else had felt the first time they had used their weapons? Did they think about how the effect of the curse would affect their life? If she was Tilion with the shield, would she never use the shield again?

Would she have been able to block any attack or would the fear of the shield breaking from such an attack and her losing her life stop her? How brave was Tilion to use it every time.

For Reno, each time he created poisons, the added power of his mortar would increase. Eventually, that had to have been far too large an amount even for him. How could he be confident that the effects of the mortar wouldn’t overwhelm him completely to the point where his life would perish?

Then there was Forma, who she wouldn’t blame if she never shot an arrow again. Yet every single one of these members still used the items of the DM. They were selfless for the group.

Thinking of all these things, Alba couldn’t help but laugh at herself as she thought.

‘I’m pathetic. I’m the leader of all of these, I should be setting an example, but here I am scared of using my weapon. If I can’t do this, then I don’t deserve to be leading them, all of them are so brave.’

She saw it, the moment the Deleter’s staff was about to hit the floor, and then she gripped the handle, and the energy swirled out from the bottom. It encased her entire body, swirling around her in a light dark color, almost a grey.

“I’ll reach him!” She kicked off with her feet, and the staff touched the ground. She had instantly made progress, leaping across at a fast speed and charged ahead.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Crimson Crane, just like before, had been pushed back. They were moving further and further away and could see that somehow, Alba hadn’t been caught up.

‘His power is strong, and he has great control, so he must have timed to move the area that we were all in rather than the entire area. So a burst of speed at just the right time, too fast for him to calculate, I’m out of his range and can close the distance!’

There was another thought in her mind as she had done this though. What had she lost? After activating the power, it was instant, it wasn’t after the effects wore off. So in some ways, using the power could also make it worse. If she was to go blind, or something else in the middle of the battle.

Yet she had to dig deep, and ignore all of those thoughts.

“What, how has she gotten so fast!” Kush then started to move himself back, pushing the land, and in the middle of him moving back he was ready to hit the staff again. “You will not get close to me!”

Kush lifted the spear, and was about to slam it on the floor.

There was still some distance between the two, but Alba didn’t expect that Kush could move back and push her away. She had underestimated him, but there was still one more thing she could do. Still one more option.

She twisted the bottom of her other sword, and dark almost yellow energy swirled around her arm, and started to mix in with the grey energy. It was intertwining around her entire body. She then kicked off the floor once again.

And charged forward. The effect of both swords were being used at once, meaning her strength hadn’t just doubled, but it had doubled on top of that, in total quadrupling her power. Just with the simple kick of her foot, almost an entire hill of dirt had kicked up behind her and created a mound.

She charged, and her two swords were in front of her like tusks, and had pierced right through her target. She stayed there still holding them out in front of her. She breathed slowly, as she looked on the ground, she could see red blood finally drip on the floor.

Lifting her head up, she looked at the Deleter’s face, blood was falling from his mouth, and he didn’t exactly have a smile on his face as he looked at her.

“I…I..” Blood dribbled out of his mouth more as he tried to speak. “I hate you damned warriors…it’s a good thing….that all of you, will be taken care of…it’s just a shame…..a shame….a shame, I won’t be there to see it.”

Alba pulled out both of the swords, and immediately Kush’s body fell to the ground. His life had instantly ended, both of the swords had directly impaled his heart filled with Qi. She had managed to close the distance.

The second Deleter that had arrived at the Demonic Faction Neverfall Clan’s funeral had perished, but as she looked at the dead body on the ground, she started to think, just what had it cost her.
