The destruction from the Dark Magus was continuing, the giant tornadoes filled with lightning were attacking everyone left and right.
People were trying to move to use what small artifacts they had to take it down, while there were also warriors that were fighting with their Qi attempting to attack the magic.
However the power of the magic was just too strong. On top of that, the Dark Magus appeared to be keeping an eye on things.
If an individual with strong Qi or magic was moving toward the tornadoes he would strike at them, killing them in a single blow.
A large number of lives were being lost quickly, every moment passing it felt like hundreds were being killed and there wasn’t a single thing any of them could do about it.
“Should we move in?” Kawak asked standing on the wall. “With our weapons we can at least put up a fight with the Dark Magus, and then the other warriors can push and deal with the rest.
“Right now, only our side is being hurt in the attack.”
Cicle and Impress agreed as they were ready to draw their weapons but when they looked at Heino, he was calmer than he was before.
“No…” Heino said. “This is war, this is not a simple fight. I have been in my fair share of fights and rushing is never the best option.
“There are still numerous strong individuals in that group of his, we can’t just focus on the Dark Magus, we have to leave him be.”
“Leave him be!” Impress shouted. “If we leave him be, he’s going to destroy the whole army, and then what do you expect us to take all of them on!”
As Impress moved towards Heino it was Red that then stood in her way.
“We were all there when the Dark Magus attacked the Alter base.” Red explained. “Do you think we came here without any preparations at all? Heino knows the Dark Magus’ power and what he’s capable of. He predicted this would happen just not this early.”
Heino still with an unpleasant look on his face, looked out at the Dark Magus, but when he placed his head down towards the floor, away from the sight of the Dark Magus he had the largest smile on his face.
‘Keep on, keep on using your magic like you have been, use up all your energy now, thinking you’re going to be ahead…this will be your downfall!’
Lifting up his head again, Heino kept the frown on his face, as he had his feelings deep on the inside.
Raze continued his destruction and now he was blasting several of the ground men with his lightning attacks hurting them constantly.
As this was going on though, Raze was starting to feel something, he could feel pain tingling through the entirety of his body.
‘This…pain, is it trying to tell me that my time with the Breakthrough is almost up?’ Raze thought.
‘I timed it perfectly last time, and as Alen said, the item each time it’s used it can force a breakthrough again but only lasts half the time. I now have two more of these to use, but I don’t know if one can be used right after the other.
‘After a breakthrough ends, the user can’t use mana or gather magic for some time. I can still use my Qi though…but my body, it was in pain last time.
‘That’s why I took the helmet from Shay. So I’ll still be able to fight, even after using the breakthrough.
‘But I won’t be joining the fight straight after. If I want to take out Heino, and all of those around him, I can only do two things, beat them in my breakthrough form, or beat them using my Qi and magic.’
Raze was confident in his breakthrough form for fighting but not confident in the amount of time he would have left.
Heino was stated to be a six star mage, but from everything he had experienced and learnt, he had his doubts. Someone who had been alive for so long to still be a six star mage was almost a complete impossibility.
There was a higher chance that he was a nine star mage, just like that of the Grand Magus, he had to imagine that he was going up against one of the Grand Magus right now.
‘If my breakthrough is coming close to its end. Then I better do as much as I can.’
Raze then lifted both of his hands in the air, and started to form all of his dark magic into a large ball.
It formed until it was nearly five times bigger than his own body.
“Disperse!”
The black ball then broke up into several small balls that were surrounding all of Raze. It almost looked like rain drops of black magic.
Swifting his hands through the air, the Dark Magic balls went and descended among the people.
There was sheer panic from the large number of men, as they did whatever they could to try stop the attacks.
Even if it didn’t kill them, they were going to be exerting a large amount of Qi, as well as energy, and now the fear of the Dark Magus would be in his mind.
Raze had perhaps dealt a blow, defeating around twenty five percent of their force. They were still far larger in number compared to his allies, but the mental state of the two sides would be completely different now going into the fight.
“I guess, now we just have to defeat 4 people for every person.” Lince chuckled to himself.
Raze still had some time with his breakthrough, but he thought it was best for him to prepare for his next move.
As he was about to move away, he saw coming straight at him, was a giant fireball.
Raze immediately casted a large water barrier, and covered the entirety of the fireball. He had to use a mass amount of mana until the fireball disappeared and turned into nothing but steam.
‘That…fireball, the size of it, that was a high level of magic, was it Heino?’ Raze thought.
Right in front of Raze only a few meters away, a short tornado of fire shot up and spun, and then quickly disappeared, revealing a person right in front of him.
“It’s been a long time, Dark Magus.”
Raze’s heart started to beat faster the blood boiling all over, as he saw the man in front of him.
“ENAXX!!!”

There were five faces that Raze would never forget. That were burned into his memory, no matter how old he got, no matter how much time had passed, he remembered them all, and one of them was the person right in front of him, Enaxx, one of the Grand Magus and was claimed to be the poster boy for the Grand Magus as a whole.
Always going to particular events, being on TV the most, representing what the Grand Magus stood for and in a lot of ways because of that, he was the most well known, at least facially.
Seeing the man right in front of him, it caused a rush of emotions to come climbing back to him. He remembered it all, every step of the way how this man ruined his life and how the rest of the Grand Magus had done.
However in particular, he remembered what Enaxx had done to Jake and the rest of his family, what he had done, to the last friend he had in the world of Alterian.
‘Enaxx is here….Enaxx is here!’ Raze said as he looked at the mage, emitting flames from his hands keeping him floating in the air.
From down below both of the large forces were looking at the two figures. Most of them were seeing magic being displayed for the first time.
“It’s surprising that you were here and you look the same as ever!” Enaxx claimed. “So what was that exploding head thing you did, it was a trick to send you, to go into hiding was it?”
“Enaxx..” Raze hissed underneath his voice.
For him to be here, Raze could think of only one thing, that they had used the power of the Golden Globe. Amir had mentioned that the power of the Golden Globe would be limited until a certain day.
Yet he never expected to see one of the people he had wished to get his revenge on for so long here right now. The one person they had decided to send through was him.
“It’s good that you are here.” Raze finally said as he lifted both of his hands, and two large balls of wind started to swirl around in his arms, lightning was added to them and they were electrifying the whole area in the sky.
“The fact that you are here, means the Golden Globe works, and once I’m done with you, I will head to Alterian and get rid of the rest of you!”
Raze thrusted his hands forward and two vortexes of wind shot out. Two giant snake tornadoes had appeared and were twirling as they headed for Enaxx.
Seeing this in response, Enaxx twirled his hands and as they came close to him, he shot out vortexes of flames to hit the attacks. As the attacks hit, the lightning from the Dark Magus’ attack started to strike, and had hit Enaxx on his body.
“You are as foolish and idiotic as you always were!” Raze said.
Enaxx using the flames from his hands thrusted himself forward breaking right through the two tornadoes. He had been hit a few times, but his white blazer with a golden trim was enchanted and it appeared to be protecting him somewhat.
When getting close, Enaxx moved his arm in a circular motion and flames flowed following in the air.
“Inferno Blaze!” Pushing his hand through the circle, a mass amount of fire magic was forming, and then blasted out. Giant flames continually were pouring all of it heading towards the Dark Magus.
It covered the entire sky, and the heat could even be felt by those who were below.
“Is this why you were smiling earlier, because you knew he would join the fight?” Red asked.
“Perhaps.” Heino cheekily said. “Although he hasn’t been interested in matters so far, the Grand Magus won’t stop talking about the Dark Magus, it appears that there is a lot of bad blood between them. I hear, the Grand Magus, are what the best of the best, of what Alterian currently have to offer.”
When the flames finally dwindled, Raze could still be seen in the air, with Dark Magic swirling around him, and he looked to be unhurt by the large-scale attack.
“Right…you were always good with fire magic, I believe that’s what your magic core is made up of as well.” Raze commented. “There was always one advantage that I always had, something that you never could grasp the full concept of, and that is my Dark Magic.
“There is a reason, why my Dark Magic can’t be combined with other forms of magic, because its main property is destruction of all.”
Dark Magic started to pour out of all of Raze’s body, and it was growing larger and larger in size behind him. It looked like night time was covering the entire daylight sky.
Seeing this, Enaxx himself started to get ready, as he lifted both hands in the air, balls of fire were starting to spread and appear like small dots in the entire area.
Both of them ready to cast a large spell, but Enaxx was the first one to take aim, as he moved his hands forward all of the balls of flames went towards Raze right where he was.
Seeing this, Magic in the air started to fall, large water droplets the same size as the magic balls were hitting them precisely weakening their power. They were slightly weaker in mana compared to Enaxx but it didn’t matter.
As they got so small in size, they had disintegrated due to a strange effect before they had even reached him completely.
Raze then took out one hand as he stretched it out forward. “Consume!”
The large dark magic that had been gathering all moved in the air, and stretched out, moving toward Enaxx. With Raze’s other hand he fired out pure lightning strikes from each of his fingers, and now like a tube Enaxx appeared stuck as the Dark Magic was slowly closing in.
“My Dark Magic, is stronger than before, I can feel it’s grown even in this breakthrough form…this won’t be the same as the times before.”
The Darkness completely consumed Enaxx’s body, and the last thing that was seen was a smile on his face.

The one trait of increasing affinity with Dark Magic, was death. It was one of the reasons people believed that the magic was banned, as it would influence mages to do whatever they could to increase their affinity.
And since Raze had arrived at Pagna, he had been around death a large amount of times. Although his Star level had stayed the same, his Affinity had continued to grow more powerful.
Now having used his breakthrough, he had the mana of a nine star mage, back to his old self, but equally due to his breakthrough being connected to his Magic core that surrounded his heart which was based around Dark magic, he could feel it, his Dark Magic was more powerful, than before, more powerful than when he was the Dark Magus in Alter.
In the past fights, he had come close to defeating many of the Grand Magus, including that of Enaxx, but in the middle of his fights, the others wouldn’t be so far behind to help, this time it was different Enaxx was on his own.
The Dark magic consumed him, and then it disappeared, it turned into nothing but particles and he was no longer seen in the air.
“What happened!” Impress shouted. “Did that mage just lose, I thought I heard you both talking about how he was one of the strongest mages, and he lost just like that…just how powerful is the Dark Magus!”
Impress had only said what the others were thinking. They were already on the back foot, and this magic savior that had appeared had vanished just like that in front of their eyes.
“Do you really think, that they would have sent someone over that could only amount to that?” Heino said. “They know the Dark Magus’s strength more than anyone, and you should look at his own face, he can tell it’s not over either!”
Out from the ground, a large strike of lightning had appeared. Raze quickly coated his arm with as much wind magic as he could as it was the fastest he could cast and attempted to knock it away, but part of it shocked his body.
It was spreading through his body, and appeared to almost paralyze him still, and then right there and then several wind strikes started to come in the air.
Raze forced his body back to move, as he flew backwards he started to strike with his own wind strikes back. When the two hit and collided, they had destroyed and took out each other.
Suddenly everyone could see it, Enaxx was back, he was right in the air in front of him, and thrusting his hands forward he had shot out two large Vortexes that headed Raze’s way.
‘If I add moisture with my water magic, and then use my ice magic I can freeze them away.’ Raze thought.
He started casting his wind magic quickly throwing them into the tornadoes, but in the middle of it all, a large lightning strike zapped his back hitting him, it wasn’t once but several times the strike continued to hit him.
Raze cast back magic pulsing it all around him, as he went to move back, and re-prepared himself.
‘My Blazer…it’s not a good time to use it, yet, not right now, I haven’t driven him to the edge.’
When they saw Raze back up, they wondered what was different this time. The strikes they seemed more powerful and not only that, but strikes appeared to be coming from two different directions.
And how was it that Enaxx was even still alive, how was he still there. The crowd felt like they had only blinked a few times, but now they could see in the air, that there were two Enaxx.
“You can’t say this is much of a surprise.” Enaxx claimed. “This isn’t the first time where I’ve used my unique trait against you, you must have been expecting it…yet I can tell something’s wrong Dark Magus, something’s wrong!”
One of the Enaxx’s had two lightning Bolts hardened lightning in his hands, he hurled it out right at Raze, who lifted his hand to cast a spell. A pulse of Dark magic came out destroying the lightning strikes, but then, a large wind attack in the air had hit him from behind.
It had chucked Raze’s body forward, and right then from the sky, where Enaxx was already above appearing as if he was made from lightning itself, he threw down another lightning strike.
It crashed into Raze’s body zapping it entirely before it slammed him into the ground. A large crater formed and dirt and dust expanded out spreading covering the eye sight of both sides.
“What’s this, this isn’t like you at all, have you ran out of mana already, that has to be impossible right?” Enaxx said. “You weren’t this weak before, you would have put up a much better fight, even with all of that stuff you did at the beginning you are a nine star mage.
“Don’t tell me that I was sent here to deal with you, this is a waste of my time!” Enaxx claimed as both of him had landed on the ground.
As the dust started to clear, Enaxx was left slightly confused, because the person he could see, didn’t appear to be the same person he was fighting against.
Instead, it was a man with a young appearance, he was wearing the same clothing and had the same white hair, but was nothing like the Dark Magus that he had known.
‘Damn it…I knew it…I knew my time would run out.’ Raze thought. ‘I never thought that Enaxx would be here, I used the item too early…and now, I can’t use any magic.’
Seeing the situation that Raze was in, and how he was on the floor, Amir and Lince were left with no choice.
“Everyone move now, attack!”

Chapter 1210 The Dark Magus Fallen (Part 1)
Lince and Amir were unaware of Raze’s plan, or what he planned to do, they had no idea from the get-go he was going to use a mass amount of magical power. However, they could tell, even though they couldn’t see Mana, or understand the concept of it, that Raze was out of power.
His old form gone, and using that mass amount of power in one go, anyone would be down for the count in a fight. Which was why both of them had immediately given the order for everyone to move.
Without hesitation, both the Dark Faction forces, as well as the Demonic forces charged forward. Even though they were smaller in size, with Raze having taken out a large chunk of them, they were off.
As they ran forward, two giant swarms from a bird’s eye view of what looked like ants were running ahead.
“Everyone, brace yourself for action!” the generals shouted. “Ready your weapons and items, ready to charge.”
The group of people were running around, and had already passed Raze, but before they could even reach the other side of men, they would have to go past both of the Enaxx’s first.
“Don’t worry!” Rayna shouted. “Just keep moving.”
Having watched the fight that was going on, Rayna had made an odd call. The warriors were undecided, should they go for Enaxx? If they did they didn’t think they could do much, but who should face him?
“We’ll protect Raze. I’m counting on the rest of you, to take out all of those that are up ahead!” Amir said as he looked toward Lince.
The two of them quickly moved, with Amir already transforming both of his arms into that of a hybrid beast, and Lince, gathering his daggers as he spun himself to protect Raze.
They stayed there only a meter in front of him while Rayna and the rest of the army just swarmed ahead. Oddly though, Rayna’s feeling was correct, as the men from the Demonic and Dark Faction went past Enaxx, he had done nothing—he had just let them through.
“What, why isn’t he attacking them!” Impress shouted. “Can’t he use some of those large magic spells to get rid of the forces even before they reach here?”
Heino was seen clicking his tongue and standing more upright with his hand in his pocket.
“It’s because he has his eyes only focused on one person, and that’s the Dark Magus,” Heino claimed. “This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either.”
As the forces charged forward, there were those that moved to the front, in particular members of the Crimson Crane. The talented members of the Dark Faction like Ricktor and Mada.
They could see the wall of people just up ahead, some of them had already cast strange artifacts that were producing a type of shield.
“Raze already started off this fight with a bang, so the rest of us need to do the same!”
Everyone gathered up their Qi, and as they reached the wall it exploded with power breaking right into the army of people. Shields were shattered in an instant and attacks completely consumed some of the artifacts that were being used.
Kizer, with his special weapon that got stronger the more people there were, each swing of his blade was creating large attacks that could be seen from anywhere on the battlefield.
Due to the power of all of the strong warriors, the line that the Light Faction and the Empire had managed to create was completely broken, as the warriors mingled in, and now a full-scale fight was taking place.
Those watching from the tower could see it, as warriors were fighting, getting kicked in the air, some of them seemingly fighting in the air, and a mass amount of powers being used.
Rayna with her spear had crashed through as she swung it, hitting several of the men to her left and right, and Dame next to her was wasting no time grabbing men by the face and throwing them far away.
In the air landing with a kick from above his head, Fing had crashed down and the three from the Neverfall Clan were making a rather large bang.
In one of the towers, they quickly saw someone running up the side. As she had jumped up, she quickly fired two arrows killing all of those that were on the inside, and now Forma, from the Crimson Crane had a great view of everyone she needed to target.
‘Using a large amount in this situation right now might not be for the best, but I can get rid of quite a few of them at a time!’ Forma thought as she summoned the bloody bow.
“Fire ten arrows!” Forma let go and the arrows spread across the battlefield killing several of them at the same time, those that were too distracted at what was going on.
For Cronker and his Dark Hand, they were able to swiftly enter through the battlefield. They could see that there were some troublesome ones with artifacts that were protecting them.
But using his own weapon from the Dark Magus, he could make himself invisible, and appear right behind them slicing right at their neck, killing them in a single blow.
As they watched from the wall, the group were in disbelief. Was there this much of a difference between the Light Faction, and the Dark and Demonic Faction now?
Even with the Empire and their artifacts, it seemingly felt like they were doing nothing.
“They’re strong, really strong. If things carry on this way, then there’s no doubt that we will lose,” Red said. Which was why he was wondering why his system claimed that Heino was still completely calm.
As the fighting was happening all around the battlefield, there was one area surrounded by the mess that was somewhat clear, where Raze, Enaxx, Lince, and Amir were.
“I need you to do me a favor.” Raze said. “Take me… take me back to the carriage.”
Raze asked as blood dripped from his mouth, the effects of the special item that had been used were taking effect again, but he was holding it in. He couldn’t look weak in front of Enaxx or the others in this situation.
