The moment the artifact was destroyed, Zon used the energy from his thrusters to propel himself forward. He had zapped himself away from the fighting area and turned around.
He could see Red smiling from the distance.
“Did you lose that much confidence in yourself the moment your artifact was destroyed? You’ve changed, you’ve changed a lot,” Red claimed as he picked up two more red energized weapons from the ground and held them in his hands.
“You see the problem with artifacts themselves, unless they’re sturdy weapons, they tend to be a bit fragile in nature. It’s why I never opted to use them so much,” Red explained.
Red started to swing the weapons in his hand and through the air as if he was warming up and then placed them by his side once again.
“Come on, Captain! You said this is my punishment, right?” Red shouted. “There’s no reason for me to come to you in this fight. You’re the one that claimed you were going to punish me!”
Red knew what he was doing, and he knew that the captain would have to react. Getting his energy ready, he blasted it from his back again. Rather than going in a straight line against Zon, he started to rush from the sides.
He was zigzagging and moving at such a speed it almost looked like he was teleporting himself. Then coming forward, he swung his axe, and mid-swing from far away, he timed it perfectly to use his thrusters to propel himself forward.
All thanks to the system, he could calculate the perfect time to act. Mid-swing though, he saw that Red didn’t even move forward. It didn’t look like he attacked at all, he had just placed his hand forward with the weapon with him.
The weapon crashed into Zon’s suit, breaking apart, and just like before, the same trick with a moment’s delay of another energized weapon, it had hit through his armor, cutting into his flesh.
The attack from Zon’s hammer had created ripples that could be seen going off in the distant field—such a powerful attack, but it didn’t come close to hitting its target and it was completely useless.
“You’ve lived with the system that has told you everything you know,” Red claimed. “It’s given you the best answers—answers that you couldn’t even come up with yourself, to get you out of situations or to overpower and win in your own particular situation.
“Now, all of that is being used against you. Your cheat is outdated, it was designed so you could never beat me, Captain!” Red claimed, and his whole body was starting to glow.
Strangely, now it was Red that was moving all over the place. Afterimages were being left behind as he moved, made from pure energy.
As he moved, swords were being used to attack against Zon’s body. They were breaking as a result, but attacks so powerful, even with his special suit, he was gathering cuts.
The two wounds on his stomach were starting to add up in pain. The nanobots inside were doing their best to heal him, and to allow him to continue to fight.
Red continued to move around, and Zon tried to catch him, but he was behind, unable to do anything but keep getting hit.
‘This makes no sense!’ Anna thought. ‘How is Red able to move faster than the Captain? The power, the energy source he’s using is more powerful, anyone can tell just from the attacks, so how?’
“I think you need a lesson in systems itself. Things evolve, we evolve!” Red claimed as he delivered a large scratch right on Zon’s chest.
“As we evolve, we learn to use energy more efficiently, to produce power from other areas that are more lacking. We don’t stay stagnant. Yes, my energy source might be weaker than yours, but what you are dealing with right now… is perfection!”
Frustrated, Zon curled up into a ball, the energy for the two axes seemingly disappeared back inside him, then he lifted his hands and burst out. The energy broke out in all directions and had hit Red.
It flipped his body and hurt part of his suit, sending him back to the ground. Red got up from the floor, and part of his suit was sparking, but the sparks went away and there still wasn’t a scratch on his body.
“Although I expected that, I didn’t expect you to be so fast to think about it,” Red claimed. “But I bet you can see it already, right? Your system telling you that there is no chance that you can win this fight.
“And when that happens, what are you going to do? What can you do?”
Red was telling the truth, Zon’s system had already stated that it wasn’t an optimal move to make. It consumed a lot of energy because it attacked in all directions, but because of the attack, it was weak.
Too weak to take out Red with his suit, but he was so frustrated—not being able to come up with any other options in the meantime, not giving time or the option of what was the best thing.
In the end, the system was unable to come up with any answers. After Red had used the full power of his system, it was as if the voice was completely gone from Zon’s head.
“You’ve frozen, Captain, I can see it!” Red said, as he formed a sword in his hand and dashed right across the field. He flung his weapon from above his head, and it looked like Zon was going to do nothing.
His system had stated that Zon was going to do nothing, and it was Red’s victory.
“No, it’s not!” Anna shouted as she lifted up her bracer and stopped the attack, shattering the red weapon. “I’ve seen it, there are things in this world that even the system can’t predict!”
Anna had joined the fight, disobeying Zon’s order, and now it was her turn. With the item of the Dark Magus, she was going to end this fight.

The moment Red saw his sword shattering, he was taken by surprise. Although his weapons were breaking against Zon, that was due to the power of the crystal.
The crystal, linked to the system, linked to everything else in his body, was powered to the max. This meant the suit itself, the healing factor, and more of Zon was superior in that aspect.
The red energized sword that Red was using, it was stronger due to the beast’s power stone he was using in his own suit and chest. So how was Anna’s able to shatter his sword?
Seeing this, Red jumped back immediately, as he could assume it was only one thing, the item that she was talking about, the bracer that was wrapped around her forearm.
As Red jumped back, he placed both of his palms forward and started to fire out red energy beams. However, unlike the typical red energy beams one would use, his were more frequent and sharp, making it have the appearance of small red needles firing out.
Due to the small size, it was far harder to block, and although it wouldn’t do a large amount of damage on a single area, it would hit several areas at once. His plan was to get Anna out of the way quickly so he could deal with the real threat.
“You have no idea,” Anna said as she placed one hand on the bracer and her other hand held out with her fingers stretched. “The power of the Dark Magus on our side.”
The bracer activated, and a very faint small vibration could be seen, not even seen, the only reason Red knew about it was because of his system. The vibrations went out and broke all of the red energy source, splitting them into nothing but particles of dust energy.
Immediately Red moved off to the side, avoiding whatever strike was coming his way, but he was unable to see anything. The air looked the same, and there didn’t seem to be any type of explosion.
Still, he had to be cautious. As he ran around the outside, he picked up one of the weapons from the ground and hurled it right at Anna. Again she moved her hand, and the sword had just shattered into particles.
‘Seeing as how no long-range attacks are working, then I just need to attack you directly.’
While Red moved from side to side, zigzagging across the battlefield, he had picked up two weapons. He went to strike one right at her center and thrusted one forward.
Anna’s suit covered the entirety of her hand. With the bracer, she grabbed onto the sword, and immediately it shattered. But as for the other weapon, it had hit her side cleanly.
It cut through the suit and went through to her skin. She quickly moved her hand down, breaking the second sword into particles, but her body still was chucked and thrown off to the side. She slid across the ground, and when she managed to somewhat recover, she could see Red still coming at her.
‘Even with the special item created by Raze, there is one thing that I can’t overcome, and that’s his speed!’ Anna thought.
As Red chased with a red sword in his hands, a large energized axe came right down between the two of them. Red had to pull back as he saw the axe hit the ground and exploded part of the flooring.
He jumped back, and there was only one person that could perform an attack like that.
“Zon… so you finally decided to move. Well, it seems typical that a member of your squad has to be the one that bails you out in the end,” Red claimed. “It was the same for me, right? You were unable to do the truly dark side and dirty work that was needed in the war, and who did that get passed onto? Me.”
“I should have expected this.”
Zon looked toward Anna and the bracer on her arm.
“What’s the curse… the curse for using that thing?” Zon asked.
“It shouldn’t matter,” Anna replied. “I’ve already used it, so it doesn’t matter. Just place its power in that system of yours, and let’s link up, to find a way on how to win this thing.”
Linking systems was the ultimate thing the Fortis army could do. Everyone was able to connect with each other, use the information the others had. If they used it in a particular way, they could even look deeper into the others’ memories and more.
This was what made the Fortis army unstoppable in the past—utilizing all of their powers together. Right now, linking up would allow them to fight in sync on the same page and come up with solutions together.
More importantly, it would pass on the information of the item that she was using, and how to best utilize it.
The information was passing into Zon’s head.
The bracer was known as the Bracer of the Unshackled Echo. Its appearance was that of a band that covered the arm, made from what appeared to be beaten bronze, and it was etched with swirling runes. From first glance, it was an item that seemed unremarkable.
If one used a powerful light, and with a keen eye, they would be able to see faint pulses—small ripples along the runes that looked like spread-out sound waves that were trapped underneath the metal.
The bracer itself allowed one to emit and manipulate vibrations and echoes in the surrounding environment. If the user struck or tapped a solid surface, they could amplify the impact.
The procession of the disruption through the vibrations could cause it to break next to anything. When Red attacked with his energy, that was exactly what she had done.
Controlled the vibrations in the air to break apart the energy source, and the same with the swords itself. It was an incredibly dangerous item. If she was able to touch Red, she would be able to destroy the suit on his outer body.
If she was able to touch him again, then maybe with its powers she could even break down the body itself.
“We will be the ones to win this fight!” Anna said, her eyes glowing.
[Systems have successfully been linked]

The system had successfully been linked between Anna and Zon. It had been a while since Zon had done this with anyone.
He had been stuck in his particular situation for a long time, searching for any members from his world, any person from the Red Fortis army, and here in Pham he had found an ally and he had found the person he was looking for.
Immediately after, Anna had placed her hand out ready to fire out the vibrations like she had done before.
This had caused Red to move the moment he saw this and then he saw Zon moving as well. Still as powerful as he was before, he used the thrusters to move.
Then zigzagged in a diagonal line, ready to take a large swing at Zon. At the same time Red had tried to pick up another weapon from the ground but had noticed that they had all been shattered in the area behind him.
He had nothing he could pick up and use. All he could do was dodge the attack that was coming at him.
Red then opened his palm to fire out blasts toward Zon, the moment the energy blasts left his hand, they had only gone a short distance before being disrupted and turning into nothing but particles.
“Damn it!” Red shouted.
Before he knew it Zon was right in front of him and had whacked him with the Axe from below, hitting him high in the air.
With the two having their systems linked, they knew where to move to avoid each other’s attacks.
They knew what the other was thinking and could also stop using the special bracer Anna had.
While Red was missing all of that information, they could perfectly communicate and attack in different ways without even talking.
This was what truly made the Red Fortis army so fearful.
‘If that’s the case then I have to go after the weaker one of you two.’ Using his red energy behind him, he blasted his way from the sky and was heading straight for Anna.
He knew he was faster than Anna and his energy was stronger than hers—even with the special item, he could still beat her if it was a one-on-one fight.
All he had to do was beat her fast enough before Zon got involved.
As Red was blasting his way toward Anna, he felt something from his side. He forced all of the energy into one part of his hand, causing his body to spin.
Right after, Zon had zoomed right past him, missing him completely.
“You’re still too predictable!” Red claimed, and continued on course.
When charging ahead though, he had to be careful where Anna was pointing her hand, so he wondered why Anna was pointing her hand to the ground—no, she was touching it.
Several cracks could be seen spread through the entire floor, covering nearly the entire area where they were fighting.
“I was never aiming for you!” Zon said.
Red could see Zon high up in the sky, then using the full power of the thrusters, he forced himself straight to the floor with both large Axes in hand.
He swung them down and crashed into the flooring. All of the rocks that had been broken on the floor from Anna’s special item lifted up from the floor.
Thousands upon thousands of rocks of all various shapes and sizes were lifted into the air, covering everything.
Red was looking around and he couldn’t even see where Anna or Zon were now. He turned his head drastically.
He could see flickers of energy moving about, but he wasn’t sure—was it Zon, or was he trying to trick him somehow through all of this mess?
Using his own energy, he blasted a group of the rocks but it did next to nothing, and it was too late.
From another angle, Zon had broken through the rocks himself at an immense speed. He had fully powered through, not caring for the pain his body would take as it was hit.
All of the times before when Red had avoided the attack, it was because of what he was able to see.
What he could calculate, avoiding the strikes at the right time. Due to the distraction, Zon could power himself more than he usually would and come from an unseen angle.
Immediately as Zon reached Red, he also noticed he had nothing in his hands and instead had just grabbed on, holding him completely still.
“What are you doing!” Red shouted as he struggled.
“Working as a team because that’s what we were.” Zon pushed Red with force while holding onto him until he felt something on his back.
At a glance, he could see that it was Anna. The hand touching him was the one with the bracer. As she activated the item, immediately the entire suit broke apart due to the vibrations, falling to the ground.
Right after, the vibrations continued inside of Red’s own body. It felt like the small nano-machines were breaking down as well. Red could see countless error messages appearing from his system screen.
“I will finish this!” Zon said as he threw Red’s body high in the air.
Red was desperately trying to do something—anything—but his body didn’t seem to be responding.
His system was down and his power was out.
“We weren’t the only ones relying on the system—we all were, including you.” Zon said as he had formed another energy Axe out from his hands.
He held it on tight and slammed it right into Red’s body. It blasted him down until his entire body crashed into the flooring.
Slowly, both he and Anna started to descend along with the rest of the rubble. When they reached the floor, they walked toward Red, who they could see.
His body was still alive but blood was pouring out of his mouth and it was clear he could no longer fight.
“You happy now, Captain?” Red asked. “Why don’t you… link up with me one last time, and learn what happened back then?”

There was a reason why Red had asked to link up. So he could directly share his memories and thoughts with Zon.
The reason Zon had been chasing Red was twofold, one was to make him pay for what he had done to the All Knowing that day. When he had entered for a meeting, he had seen Red’s body standing over the one who had been in charge of everything, the person behind their victory.
What Zon never understood was why Red had done such a thing. He had his own thoughts and ideas. The war had come to an end, a victor finally in sight.
Red was bloodthirsty, everyone in the Red Fortis army knew that. At times of war, these were the ones that were needed. Perhaps the end of the war meant that those like Red were no longer needed, so killing the All Knowing might even ignite a spark for the fighting to start up again.
“Don’t listen to him!” Anna shouted. “Who knows what he’s up to. Maybe if you connect with him, he has some item from Alter or something that will corrupt us… we haven’t been able to trust him nearly the whole time he was in the Red Fortis army, so why would you trust him now?”
Red smiled as he heard those words. His body was clearly weak, but he could tell, the disruption that had been caused by Anna’s item was wearing off and his nanobots were starting to heal him.
What he also knew was the other two could tell that as well. That, in a matter of time, he would be back up on his feet.
“Well I would tell you what happened, but I don’t think you would believe me just with my words. You would say I altered my voice so it passes your lie detection system.” Red spoke weakly. “I know, why don’t you take the system out of me.
“And place it in yourself. I won’t be under control of it then. You can see through everything that’s there.”
“Take out your system,” Zon stated. “If we did that, in the state you are in now, all of the nanobots would stop operating in your body, you would die.”
Red started to laugh.
“And now you’re worried about me? I thought you had come here to kill me. I thought you had already made it so deep down you had made the decision. To get rid of me, so what difference does it make?
“Doesn’t it mean that you achieve both of your objectives?”
Anna and Zon looked at each other. It was true, they weren’t going to let him get back to his regular self, and they weren’t going to trust him. Taking out his system meant it would be the end for Red.
Zon walked over while Anna kept a careful eye over what was happening. She was making sure there weren’t any sudden movements from Red.
As Zon went down, he lifted Red’s head and then placed his hand on the back of his neck. His hand started to change and morph into what looked like a surgical tool.
“Captain,” Red said. “I’m happy it was you.”
It was the last words that were spoken as Zon had already removed the system from the back of his head. There was only one more breath from Red and then there was no more.
Zon stood back up, and jumped to where Anna was.
“Did he say anything?” Anna asked.
“He… just said he was happy it was me,” Zon replied.
“Well, you can read the information from the system. I’ll cover you if any of the fighting comes this far while you’re looking through it.” Anna claimed.
Zon nodded, and then his hand started to change and morph again, his eyes started to glow as he was accessing what he wanted from the system itself. Everything it recorded, everything it had seen from when Red had the system implanted in him.
Then he finally found out. When Red was in the main room, the All Knowing had called him in for a meeting, and Red was standing there face to face with him on his own.
“It’s safe to say that the Red Fortis Army has done everything they can in this war,” the All Knowing said. “It’s because of all of you that we were able to succeed. You did what the outside public can never know.
“You are the secret heroes in this fight that will take all the atrocities made deep down within you. Do you understand, Red?”
“What are you saying, sir?” Red asked.
“There was a reason why you have been given the latest and most advanced system out of all of them. You are stronger, better, faster than them in every way. This is the last order to you, Red, as the All Knowing. You are to eliminate the Red Fortis group.”
Red was so shocked, he had said nothing. He spoke no words for a while.
“We have seen your work, seen what you have done. You are the only person suitable to keep under our command. That is what our special machine, the real All Knowing, has told us.” The All Knowing then pointed to the large computer contraption.
Which had helped them in the fight and predicted, given every order for them to win the war.
“Why must they be eliminated?” Red asked. “Because a machine told them so? You want to get rid of all of the Red Fortis army? I think you have made a grave mistake in telling me this.
“Because I’m part of the Red Fortis army as well!” Red grabbed the All Knowing’s head right after, and created an energy blade stabbing it right through the old man’s head.
Shortly after, he used the energy blasts to destroy the large computer in the back and continued to fire away.
Eventually, Red had stopped, and let go of the All Knowing’s body, and that was when Zon had come rushing in, due to all of the noise, seeing the All Knowing on the floor and Red standing beside his body.
“RED!!!” Zon screamed.
That was the end of the memory. Now Zon had learnt the truth about Red and what had occurred back then.

Zon had seen the past of Red’s life, and after seeing what happened with the All Knowing, he had decided to look deeper into his memories. The system was a strange thing, as it allowed one not just to look into what had occurred at the time, but somewhat also link what the person was feeling as well.
It was allowing Zon to see the truth of all of Red’s thoughts at the time, and now he was diving deep. When Red had first joined the Red Fortis group, when he was part of the group, and everything he had been tasked with.
Zon wanted to take it all in, and then it had ended, he had seen it all, and continued to look at Red who was on the ground.
“What a complicated man you were Red… and it turns out I was wrong in every way possible.” Zon said.
“What, did you see?” Anna asked.
In response, Zon then threw the system chip in the air. Anna had caught it. It was near invisible to the human eye, but she had caught it. She was a bit hesitant to look into the system. She figured that Zon had already looked through it and was fine, so there was no harm in doing so.
But a part of her wondered, what would be so different after she looked into it. What would have changed? She couldn’t imagine finding anything about Red would change her view about him.
The Captain was always softer than most. It was this side of him that made it best for him to lead such a team. Regardless, she decided to look into the system anyway, the curiosity was too much for her.
She started to see the same thing the Captain had seen, and then went through everything. She was just going through the same steps as the Captain, and finally, she had seen everything.
“What the heck,” Anna said. “Red did all of that?”
“Correct.” Zon said. “He was a strange man that seemed to put a lot on his shoulders. He carried the weight of everything with him, all for the sake of the team.”
Now they both understood. When looking through the memories, Red’s feelings were complex, but ultimately he cared about the Red Fortis group more than anything, more than anything in the world.
When Red had joined the group, he took on the dirty jobs, but it wasn’t because he enjoyed it. It wasn’t because he thrived on killing or war, anything like that. It was because he didn’t want the others to have the burden of it all.
He took on all the dirty tasks so only he would be the one to take on the pain. It was his way of showing he cared, his way of helping the Fortis group as much as he could.
He even had volunteered for the trial system at the time, afraid that maybe the All Knowing was trying to control them. Maybe something would go wrong in the experiment. It made a particular view the others had, but he didn’t care.
He didn’t care about the names the others called him. He just cared that he had a group of people that he was helping more than anything.
Which was why, when it came to it, when he was asked to destroy the very family he cared about, he had snapped inside—killing the All Knowing and destroying the very machine that had given those orders.
Red didn’t want the truth to come out. He didn’t want to try and explain himself, because he feared that maybe those in the Red Fortis army would agree with the All Knowing.
They had followed every order blindly. So if it stated that the best thing for the country, the best thing for them, was to be gone and disappear from this world, that they would do it.
So in order to save them, he had become the enemy, keeping the secret deep within. Zon had ventured a little into his life when joining Pagna.
Because of the way he was, there wasn’t really any group for him to join. In the end, it was Heino who had found him and his powers. He was able to be of use to a group again.
But the feelings weren’t the same. He continued to do task after task, believing it was to help Alter, to help the rest of Pagna, but nothing was making sense to him.
Yet what else could he do? How could he live his life? There were many times where he thought that it was better if he just disappeared, because he was no longer needed, until he had found out the Captain was here in Pagna.
The final gift that he would give to the Captain was the satisfaction of completing the task. Although he didn’t want to burden the Captain with the truth, there was a part of him while in Pagna that felt so alone.
He didn’t want the Captain to hate him, and he could see the pure hatred in his eyes. So he wished for the Captain to just know how he truly felt and decided to give him the system in the end.
“I feel like with this, I made a deep… deep mistake.” Zon claimed.
“No.” Anna said, placing her hand on his back. “We all would have done the same thing. This, in a strange way, was everything that Red wanted. I think when we go back to Trozon and meet the rest of the Red Fortis army, we should tell them the truth.
“I don’t think the whole group should live in hatred for Red, when it was because of him we all were able to live our lives.”
Zon agreed, and then he and Anna looked off back to the battlefield.
“The fighting is still going on. In order to head back home, we need to make sure Raze and the others can win.”
The two had used a lot of energy, so they wouldn’t be a big impact in the battle now, but they would be able to help in some way.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, one of the core battles was taking place, and it was between Beatrix and Impress. Using the item that Ricar had given her, Beatrix had changed the area around them slightly, making half-step almost stairs around the two.
Those that were fighting nearby thought of it as a wall so they didn’t get close, not that they wanted to. With all of the major fights, the Qi, the attacks, the weapons and artifacts were so strong that there was a chance for the strays to be hit.
Unlike wars between two kingdoms, fights between warriors were quite different. Due to the various skills, Qi and movement, those fighting were further apart than in a typical fight. So the area of fighting was spread out much further than many would expect.
“That item you got from Ricar, the one that he stole, it won’t be much use to you!” Impress claimed.
Beatrix knew she was right, so she placed it around her waist, hanging as a large ball by her side. She never planned to use it in a fight so close like this one. The energy used in the fight would be too much in the first place to have a large effect.
“I guess it’s the same, the person you look up to is scum, just like you!” Impress said, charging forward with her glowing golden sword.
She swung it above and below, and in turn, Beatrix blocked each of the attacks. Each time the swords clashed, a pulse of Qi would blast out in the air, and a pleasant resounding sound would be heard like that of a bell.
The two continued to clash their swords, perfectly blocking each one. Neither one of them appeared to be besting the other, and if one was to watch the fight take place, it was almost a beautiful performance was happening.
The swordsmanship was as if they were in sync, and both of them were almost mirroring each other’s moves.
Finally, both of them clashed from the top, and the Qi pushed both of them back until they were in their starting positions again.
“Tch!” Impress grunted.
“What’s wrong, did you think you could best me with the Dawnblade Clan skills?” Beatrix commented. “Out of all of the Elders, Ricar was the best at the Dawnblade Clan techniques. If you hadn’t attacked him by surprise, you would have never beaten him.
“So if it comes to the Dawnblade Clan skills, I can’t afford to lose in a battle like that against you.”
The two jumped in the center, and a Qi ball nearly surrounded the two of them. The Qi balls were overlapping, and it meant their swordsmanship was as well. Several thrusts of the sword came from both sides.
The tip of both of the weapons were hitting each other one on one, and there also seemed to be no winner of Qi.
‘She is just a new Elder, she didn’t come in long ago, and she was forced in due to the pressure we had from the other Light Factions.’ Impress thought.
“I can tell what you’re thinking.” Beatrix said as she continued up the maneuver and continued to match Impress for every one of her attacks. “But you’re wrong, I didn’t earn my place in this clan like you, by sleeping around with the others. I earned it all through my own skill, and I’ll show you that!”
The Qi orb broke, and as it did, Impress darted forward and struck from the side. Impress was able to block in time, but she was pushed back.
It was the first move from the two of them that wasn’t mirrored and hadn’t completely been blocked by the other.
“Sometimes we can’t just stick to traditions.” Impress said. “We have to break the mold of what we are taught. Otherwise, we will never surpass the old.”
“You’re calling me old, you little child!” Impress shouted. “I guess in the eyes of a kid like you, anyone would be considered old. You should know once you get to this stage, age is experience—experience that can be used to take one down!”
Impress had been hoping that with her stronger weapon, that she would be able to break the other sword, and win the fight with ease. However, it was quite clear that the sword that Beatrix was using was just as good in quality as the one she had received from Alter.
“I thought it would be best to beat you with the Dawnblade Clan skills as it would be the ultimate punishment for you, but I have no time to play games with you.”
Beatrix was on the back foot as she jumped a few times. This was it, one of the top swords that Alter had managed to gather throughout the time they had existed. It was sure to have a sort of special power, but it was the same for Beatrix with her weapon as well, she just needed to know when the right time to use it would be.
“Let’s see you deal with this!” Impress said, as she dashed forward.
It was strange, nothing seemed to have changed in the eyes of Beatrix. There was no difference in the power or Qi, so it made her wonder what did the weapon do.
Careful, Beatrix was ready to strike, and she did just that, as she sliced from the side at Impress. Seeing this, Impress didn’t even try to stop it, the blade cut through her skin, stopping partly in the center.
As it stopped, the hardened body of a warrior was making it hard for her to slice the weapon completely through.
Impress, right next to Beatrix, smiled as she had the sword in her hand.
“As long as I have this sword… I can’t die!” Impress claimed as she thrust it toward Beatrix’s head.
So close, Beatrix was able to only move out of the way and avoid it, but a powerful kick had hit Beatrix in the stomach and sent her back crashing into the own wall she had made prior.
When Beatrix looked up at Impress, she could see the wound that she had made—it was completely gone.
“She… can’t die?”
