Beatrix quickly tried her best to recover after being hit in the stomach. With her Qi she could take quite the beating, but what she needed to figure out was just exactly what Impress meant by saying her sword made it so she was unable to die.
Beatrix quickly moved forward trying to run across the outside and Impress was seeing the same. As they came close to each other they exchanged hits just like they were doing before.
The swords clashed against each other fiercely with a large amount of Qi. Just as Beatrix thought she was getting the upper hand she performed a quick vertical strike from above.
‘I’ve timed this perfectly, the Qi sweeping up around her at this moment, there’s no way for her to avoid this strike!’
But Beatrix could see it, despite Impress being in this position, being in this situation she had a large smile on her face. She lifted up her arm. The sword went down just like before. As the sword went down Beatrix could feel it slicing through flesh.
It would have cleanly cut off her arm, and it should have done, the sword had gone right through, and continued until it reached her neck, the sword sliced through part of the neck, and then just like the time before it stopped.
‘She’s using Qi, just like before in her body, to harden the inside of her body and hold onto the sword… but why would she sacrifice an arm and take such a large vital blow just for that?’
The arm that was meant to have been sliced off, it was balled up into a fist and headed right for Beatrix’s face. It landed squarely, hitting her cheek.
The powerful force sent her flying back once more. She kept her hand gripped onto the sword which was pulled out from the body as the rest of her went flying crashing into the wall again.
“Hahaha, this is beautiful!” Impress laughed. “Are your listening skills as poor as your fighting skills? I already told you before, that I can’t die!”
Beatrix got up again, her face was bruised from the powerful hit. She couldn’t believe it, a sword that made it so one couldn’t die. It wasn’t as simple as that.
When a warrior reached the Divine realm they were granted immortality, but they could still be killed by others and the strikes of weapons. They just could no longer die by natural means.
In this sense she could see it, that Impress not only wasn’t dying, her arm was completely fine as well as the wound on her neck. It was almost healing as quick as the wound could be delivered.
This went beyond just not being able to die.
“How am I meant to beat someone like this?” Beatrix muttered to herself.
Now it was Impress that was on the attack as she dived forward. She was far wilder in her swings compared to before. She was no longer performing the straight and strict attacks that had been hammered into her by the Dawnblade Clan.
This left a lot of openings for Beatrix to take advantage of. But as Beatrix defended and attacked perfectly not making a single mistake, the wounds and cuts that would appear on Impress’s body, they were disappearing right in front of Beatrix’s eyes, and taking advantage of the situation, Impress was striking back.
She kicked Beatrix’s leg, and then would punch with her other hand. Thankfully the sword hadn’t been used as Beatrix had been careful to keep an eye on the sword.
If she was struck with the sword unlike Impress she would be done for immediately. ‘This is madness, how is she still able to fight like this?’
There was a remarkable thing with Impress. When the special swords were handed from Alter to the Light Faction warriors, they had to decide which ones were best for each individual.
The most trickiest of them all was the weapon that was in Impress’s hands. Although its power immensely strong it would take a particular type of person to use the weapon to its fullest.
When learning swordsmanship, it was all about being able to hit your opponents without being hit back. That was the fundamentals that had been grinded into them. So to take advantage of such a weapon one had to allow themselves to get hit.
It took a particular mentality to allow a sword to just strike their body. A constant fear would constantly be in their mind. What if the weapon didn’t work? What if the strike from the sword actually killed them this time?
How could they put their trust in a weapon rather than their old skills? It was unnatural to allow a sword to just stab through them.
But out of all of them, Impress was considered to be the least mentally stable. Or at least the one that believed she could use the weapon to its full potential.
When she had heard what it could do, she already imagined how she could take advantage of its powers, which was why the others had willingly allowed her to use the weapon.
The thing was, even during the fight, Impress had held back slightly. In the back of her mind there was still the same fear she had as the others. Still the same fundamentals to block attacks that were coming her way.
As the fight was continuing though, slowly they were starting to fade. The sword in her hands could now fully be used to strike ahead, while allowing Impress to strike ahead.
Nearly forgetting all defenses Impress moved ahead, Beatrix’s sword this time had sliced through the top of Impress’s head. It cleanly went through but did nothing, and Impress’s sword stabbed right through Beatrix’s shoulder.
“Hahaha, I love this sword!” Impress shouted.
“I guess I have no choice, I have to use what the Dark Magus gave me as well!” Beatrix claimed as the weapon started to light up.

Impress had pulled the sword from Beatrix’s shoulder, and the moment she did she was ready to strike again, not caring for her own body. She swung, with Beatrix’s back up against the wall there was nowhere for her to go and Impress knew that this would be the final strike.
Her sword swung diagonally right through Beatrix’s body and touched the ground. It was the end, or at least she thought that it would be. Something felt wrong. When swinging her sword it had gone through Beatrix’s body far too easily, and she wondered, where even was she, because Beatrix was no longer held up against the wall.
Before she knew it, a large slash was felt right on Impress’s back. “Ahh!” Impress shouted and turned around swinging her sword, but Beatrix had already moved quite the distance away.
Impress still felt the pain of the strikes, but while fighting she was almost too focused to even think about the pain, as she had pushed forward. In that brief moment where she thought she had won the fight, she had let up and felt the full force of the strike.
“How did you do that, how did you escape I was watching you the whole time!” Impress screamed. Her eyes made it look like she was that of a wild beast. She didn’t let go, and swung her sword knocking Beatrix’s to the side.
And then, thrusted her sword forward without the care for her life aiming to attack Beatrix straight ahead. She carefully watched the tip of her sword, and she watched it as it went right through Beatrix, as if her body wasn’t even there.
The charging of Impress made it so her whole body continued to head forward, and that’s when she felt her whole body phasing right through Beatrix like that of a ghost. Impress tried to quickly turn around, when she felt a sword slice right through her neck.
Her head would have cleanly fallen off to the ground, but it stayed intact healing right in place. This attack was a little too fearful for her to keep striking again, and now Impress had jumped back, holding onto her neck.
“I’m still alive, I’m still alive. I can still fight.” Impress claimed as she tried to settle her heart.
“Did you think you were the only one that could do something a little special?” Beatrix claimed as she held her blue sword.
“It’s that damned sword, made by the Dark Magus right?” Beatrix said. “You’re proud of using weapons like that?”
Beatrix just shook her head, she wanted to make the argument of what Impress was using. Did she really see no difference, nearly every word that came out of Impress’s mouth was hypocritical.
It was okay for her to use such things but not others.
‘Still, I have a problem, even with all of these attacks I have no way to beat her. I slice off her head, stab her in the heart nothing is working, and it’s all because of that sword.’ Beatrix thought.
During the fight she had even sliced off the hand that had contained the sword, but the hand didn’t fall, so the sword was still being held. The power held on. The only way perhaps was either to destroy the sword some way, or dislodge it from her hand.
It just didn’t make any sense how she was able to best Impress. Cutting her fingers would yield the same result. The hand was practically glued to the rest of the body.
Impress’ shock of being cut at the neck started to fade, and with it, she had decided to start striking again. Both of them clashed swords, until a strike was made toward Beatrix’s arm, she faded once again and struck three times on Impress’s body but there were no results just like the time before.
“You sneaky bitch!” Impress shouted.
As the fight went on though, Beatrix could feel something changing in her and she knew the reason why, it was all because of the weapon she was using.
The weapon created by the Dark Magus allowed her body to phase through at any time she wished. She could even just phase parts of her body or the sword. Maybe the ability didn’t sound so strong to others.
But in a physical fight where swordsmanship were decided by just moments that occurred in the battle. It was one of the strongest abilities to have. In the hands of a master like Beatrix she knew the right time to phase and use the opportunity to her advantage.
Perhaps, if she was going up against anyone but Impress the fight would have been over by now, but she had to fight Impress, it was the only person she needed to go against, to get payback for everything that she had done.
Just then, Impress attacked several times and each time, Beatrix phased through all of the attacks. She then quickly distanced herself as she thought of a plan.
‘I can’t keep going on like this, I can’t!’ Beatrix thought. ‘Unlike the weapons that are used from Alter, this weapon is cursed and If I keep using it, I won’t be able to fight anymore.’
The dreaded thing about the item that Beatrix was using, was the Curse. Each time she phased it would age her body. The phasing would build up and she would age further and further.
The good thing about the curse was the effects were temporary so her body would eventually return back to normal, but that was after some time had passed. The build up was quite quick as she used the powers.
Even just using it now she could feel her body was already changing, and if she continued to use until her age had reached its limit, it would even result in her own death.
‘I have to find a way, to beat her.’

Out of the several fights that were taking place, there was one more, that could potentially turn the tides of the fights that were happening and that was against the leader of the Illumination Clan, Cicle.
He had a strange sword in his hand held, that almost looked like two large rings, but both Liam and Safa, knew that they were in for a tough battle.
“Fighting against two children, is really not my style.” Cicle claimed. “But due to the circumstances I have no choice. You are affecting the battlefield greatly, especially you!”
Cicle then held the sword near his waist, and shifted it forward. A straight line of Qi shot out from the weapon that was aimed right for Safa.
Seeing this, she twirled her spear in the air, using a defensive technique, and then slammed it right at the attack making it disappear completely. Safa, although one of her main traits was using her light magic to heal on the battlefield it was hard to say she was considered weak at all.
She had a mass amount of Qi running through her body. That of a divine warrior, the Qi that had been gained from Stoney when the two bodies had formed and her own Qi. Along with her special technique to cultivate even in the midst of battle, it meant she was one that would almost never tire.
“How are this new generation able to keep up with us so much. What have you children been through.” Cicle commented. His strike was that from a Clan leader, and yet it had been stopped.
Meaning the power she had used was no less than one of the top clan’s in the Light Faction.
“Thanks to your people, and your allies, we’ve been through a lot!” Liam shouted as he started to imitate exactly what Cicle had just done.
He had the sword by his side, and thrust it forward shooting a beam of energy out. It was easily blocked as Cicle swung his sword to deflect the attack, but he couldn’t say he wasn’t surprised.
“That technique is a Light Faction technique, and it’s not even my own yet he was able to copy it. Does he have a weapon like mine.” Cicle thought.
“Safa cover me!” Liam shouted as he charged forward.
Safa ran around the edge, staying around ten meters away from Liam, but she was making sure he was close. Whatever wounds would appear on his body she would do her best to heal them.
She was staying close as she didn’t want the same thing to happen as last time, and it was same for Liam. Seeing the enemy in front of them, he had made the jump to attack right out of the gate.
Immediately, Liam started to duplicate his sword, and hurled it towards Cicle who had blocked as he had done with the last attack. The sword ended up being lodged in the ground and moments later several more swords were hurled towards him.
Although these weren’t aimed at him, and were aimed towards those that were at his feet.
‘Even if you are skilled, you’ve never seen this before!’ Liam claimed, as he quickly scooted across the ground then the swords that were lodged in the floor started to all aim towards Cicle at the same time.
“This has been something I’ve been practising for a while as well.” Liam claimed as he got into position and then placed the sword around him once again.
“The system wasn’t able to copy it properly last time because of my skill, but it’s something I can do now!” The Qi had built up at the back of the sword, and then Liam launched himself forward, performing what looked exactly like the Void Pulse.
The duplicated swords along with Liam’s special telekinetic powers, he never expected it to do major damage to someone like the leader of the Light Faction, all of it was just meant to be a distraction, so his next attack could hit.
As Liam lunged forward by the strange strong power, he quickly noticed something else as well. All of the swords had quickly been deflected, a strange light orb had surrounded him, the visual Qi showing it all.
Then, he could see Cicle looking right at Liam and having placed his sword by his side again. It wasn’t the same as the move before, this almost looked the same as the Void Pulse technique.
“Let’s see who’s will win.” Cicle claimed.
The Qi blasted from behind his sword, and the two of them clashed in the centre. It didn’t take long as there was a clear winner. Liam’s body went flying back in the air, and he crashed skidding across the floor.
Safa had quickly used her light magic to heal him though. It surrounded him and recovered his wounds, and eventually he skidded across the floor and it seemed like he had never been hit in the first place.
“He can perform the Void Pulse technique?” Liam said.
“Remember what Raze said?” Safa asked. “About the weapon that’s in his hand, it allows him to copy techniques.”
Safa was right. To block Liam’s telepathic swords, he had used a technique from the Dawnblade Clan, hitting away every weapon that came close within a certain area, then right after he had used the Void Pulse the sword had seen.
The difference was, Liam’s system tried to replicate the move, and through some hard work he had pulled it off. As for the special sword that Cicle was using. It was directly copying the moves, at the exact same strength as they had been seen.
Right after, Cicle went straight in, and using various techniques was now attacking Liam. Liam was on the back foot, the power of the Qi with each strike, it was going through his entire body.
“Am I going to die here!” Liam thought as a strike came from above, until he saw a spear stick out and block the attack. Right after, the spear lifted the sword away, and was thrust forward aiming to stab Cicle in the stomach who managed to jump back and escape.
“I’m not going to just stay back like last time.” Safa said. “For us to win this, I will be fighting as well.”
When Liam looked at Safa… there were so many changes to her current body, he didn’t even know where to begin.

Liam was surprised that the leader of the Light Faction had backed up so suddenly. He was a leader with powerful Qi, and he was trying to bridge the gap with his system, and his special items he had obtained from the Dark Magus.
The gap was hard for him to bridge in terms of Qi and the weapon he was using though. As long as he had Safa supporting him, it would all work out he thought, but now Safa wasn’t supporting him.
Instead, she was standing right by his side, and she looked different compared to how she usually would look.
Her hands holding onto the spear were being used the same way they normally would but her forearms, both of them, seemingly were encased with a strange stone. And it was the same for around her legs.
It almost looked like she was wearing a special type of armour.
‘Is that… it almost looks like part of Stoney,’ Liam thought. ‘Ah that’s right, she had fused with him, that time when we were researching the Rylon religion it had happened at that time.’
Since Safa had fused with Stoney, he had never seen her use its powers, until now that was, and even the Qi that was leaking out of her body was different to before, it was more solid.
Wasting no time, Safa kicked off from her position and now she was on the attack, chasing after Cicle. She struck with her spear and her attacks were being deflected.
However, Cicle was on the back foot. Alarmed by what was happening he was using the Illumination Clan’s techniques to block the hits, but with each blow he defended, he was feeling his arms go slightly numb.
‘This woman, she’s this strong… it feels almost like her blows, are even more powerful than my own.’
There was something else, something more off that Cicle was finding during the fight. He was trying to use different techniques, trying to use some of the Dawnblade Clan’s and others through the power of the sword.
Each time he got into position though, the spear would be thrusted with a burst of Qi disrupting the attack.
‘It’s almost like this woman can read my mind, as if she knows what’s going to come next!’ Cicle thought.
The reason for this was because of the soft glow that was occurring around Safa’s eyes. She was using her special god eyes as well. Usually, she had used this to catch traces of magic, but when she recently had to help Raze, she was able to figure out how to use her god eyes in another way.
She was now able to also track the flow and movement of Qi. Every intention that Cicle was making, it was clear before he would use the power of the sword, so it was easier for her to stop them.
‘If I can’t use big and large techniques, then I’ll just have to use small ones!’ Cicle thought.
He swung his sword using various of the Light Clan techniques that were being used on the battlefield. He focused on those that were swift and fast with their techniques.
His sword thrusted towards Safa incredibly fast, it was almost more like that of a spear technique.
She spun her spear, to deflect some of the hits, but sharp parts of the Qi would flicker in between blocking, creating several cuts on various parts of her body. Cicle was pleased, as finally, his attacks were getting through.
However, the attacks as quickly as they were appearing on her body, they were starting to disappear as well.
“What is this?” Cicle claimed, how can this be possible.
The energy of the Divine warrior was reacting with the special Lux spear that Safa had in her hand. The sword itself was being activated to its fullest, giving her extremely powerful healing abilities.
Almost like when the Lux sword was first used in the Dark Faction. All of these combinations of power that had been in Safa for the longest amount of time were now being used all at once.
Safa then shoved her spear forward stabbing Cicle in the shoulder. She had taken a Qi strike to her own shoulder in response but it didn’t matter as her shoulder had quickly healed, and she was now on the chase with Cicle.
For Liam, as he watched all of this, he didn’t even know how he could help, how he could join the fight that was going on right now.
‘I… thought that I had to act, that I was the one that needed to do something, now that Liam is gone, but for the situation to be like this now?’ Liam thought. ‘I’m useless in this, I can’t believe I thought, I was the one that was helping out Safa… it almost feels like I was the one that was holding her back.’
Frustrated that nothing else was working, Cicle felt like he could do only one thing. He scraped the sword against the floor creating a layer of dust to appear between the two of them.
He then created distance and lifted the sword above his head. The sword started to be shrouded in darkness, and Liam knew what this move was as well.
“The eclipse strike, get out of there!” Liam shouted.
It was too late, as the sword was swung down, and a large wave of Dark Qi came out from the weapon.
Safa had twirled her spear in the air several times gathering Qi and light magic alike and then slammed it onto the floor. An orb surrounded her as the wave of Qi had completely consumed her and surrounded blocking the vision from the outside.
When Liam turned to look again, he was quite amazed at what he could see, as the spear was lodged right through the stomach of Cicle, and Safa was standing there seemingly unharmed.
Safa had completely dominated the fight against the Light Faction leader, despite the weapon from Alter he had.
“I wish, I would have been able to fight like this sooner.” Safa said, as she remembered the dear friend that she had lost.

When news of MVS, MWS or any other series comes out, you will be able to see it there first, and you can reach out to me. If I’m not too busy, I tend to reply.
Heino had put a lot of trust into the Light Faction leaders. They were some of the strongest warriors in the whole of Pagna. When he had entered the land of Pagna, he had even traveled to the various continents and looked at all of the warriors.
Out of all of them, he felt like the ones best and most suited to win a large clash between three groups, were the Light Faction warriors. Which was why he had decided to get them right under his finger as soon as possible.
After putting major trust in them, he had even given them some of his most trusted treasures, the legendary swords he had obtained. Thinking that they were best used in their hands.
Based on all of this, he had no doubt in his mind that they would help him win the battle, that they would take care of the little flames and sparks that had occurred. However, he didn’t know everything that the Dark Faction, the Demonic Faction and those they were fighting against had been through due to Raze arriving in the world of Pagna.
A butterfly effect that had changed them all, and now one of those Light Faction leaders had fallen, even with one of the legendary swords from Alter. Coming over to Safa’s side, Liam was making sure she was okay.
He was pretty sure she was fine, there were no injuries on her body, and the strange stone parts that covered the rest of her had long disappeared.
“I did it…” Safa said. “I finally was able to do it.”
“You really did, everything that we worked up to, it paid off in the end, well at least for you.” Liam answered as he knelt down, and went to grab a particular item.
He held onto the sword and looked at its strange design.
‘So this is what he had used to copy the moves. It was even better than the system at replicating them. I guess it wasn’t much use to us since we don’t really use sword techniques, but going up against anyone else this weapon would be impressive.’ Liam thought, but there was one more thing on his mind.
Such a precious weapon, it wasn’t his to take, he wasn’t the one that had dealt with Cicle, it was Safa.
“Take it… you will need it on the battlefield.” Safa said. “I don’t use swords, I use spears anyway, and now it’s our chance to use something that was meant to help them against them.”
Liam couldn’t believe that Safa was letting him have such a precious item, but combining the sword along with his system, it would be a powerful combo that could be used well.
“Come on, now that we’ve taken him out, we need to help the rest of the army to continue to push. This war, it’s not over.” Safa said.
Although Liam had been feeling down about the fact he had been next to useless helping fight the Faction leader, he could still help out in the war, and he still needed to look out for Safa in any way he could.
——
On the battlefield, there was one more group of individuals that were taking on one of the leaders of the Light Faction, and they were going up against Kawak himself.
A very dangerous individual. One of the Light Faction leaders and one that had one of the most powerful swords in his hand.
“Remember what Raze said, everyone be careful!” Anna claimed as she spun her spear in the air, and then rushed forward toward Kawak.
It wasn’t just her but all three ran ahead at the same time. Dame, with his special items and gauntlets he started to swing them out. He had already transformed into his Hybrid form, so he was using all eight of his arms to fire Qi blasts right at Kawak.
Using his sword, Kawak as if he had no trouble at all just swung his sword breaking the Qi blasts in half. All they did was split and go right past him as they exploded to the ground.
Then, Fing and Rayna had reached the position of Kawak first. Immediately as Fing landed he went to kick him in the face. Kawak leant back, and then struck right at the floor, making the area shake and unstable.
He went to strike against Fing, but when he did, he could see from the corner of his eye, Rayna running with her spear. She went to stab it forward, hoping to stop or land a hit on Kawak.
Suddenly, Kawak had turned to look at Rayna.
“I was expecting that, wrong choice.” Kawak claimed as he swung his weapon.
Despite Rayna using Qi in the tip of her weapon, despite it being enhanced with all her strength. The sword that was swung had cut right through the spear like it was butter. The top half had fallen straight to the ground.
And now, Kawak had lifted the weapon up, and was ready to strike from above.
That was until, Dame who had jumped in the air to observe the fight started to swing his arms rapidly firing off Qi blasts all in a singular direction. They crashed onto the floor hitting the area around.
Dust was kicking up and the flooring was unstable. Getting out of the area, was both Fing and Rayna who had come back and Dame had landed on the ground right next to them.
As they looked at the dust-filled area, they soon heard swings of wind, and right after the entire dust storm almost disappearing.
“Hahaha, hahah!” Kawak screamed at the top of his lungs. “With this sword I am invisible.”
Kawak knew, it was hard to think of a sword that could cut through anything. One couldn’t clash with Qi, they couldn’t block, or use their weapon in any way. He was sure right now, Rayna and the others were wondering, just how were they supposed to best this individual.
