“Now that I have defeated Impress, I don’t think I will be allowed in the Dawnblade clan again.” Beatrix started to look at the rest of the battlefield, the fighting that was still going on in all corners.

“After this fight though, there might not even be a Clan to go back to.”

Now that she had finished with her task, she was deciding what to do, what was best. She had joined Raze because she wished to get revenge.

Even during the war, she had moved and been lenient towards those of the Light Faction. This wasn’t her battle; they weren’t her enemies.

But having used the sword somewhat, she felt like she was somewhat in debt to Raze and had to help him somehow.

Then, she felt a tinge in her head and lifted her hand by her eye.

“Right…there’s him as well; he put me in this body. I need to deal with him.” Beatrix started to walk over to the location, the location of the fight with Raze and Heino.Pubfuture Ads

In the middle of her walk though, the red started to disappear from her hair, and the same with the color of her eye. Her hair stayed the same length as it did before, and there was still a small tinge of red, but it was vastly smaller than it was before.

Then the energy was leaving her, and Beatrix found herself falling to the ground.

‘Ah…I used up a lot of Qi in that fight…and that strange voice in my head, what even was that? It felt like there was a different person that entered me…are you still there?’ Beatrix asked, but there was no voice.

‘In the state I am in now, I couldn’t fight against any decent middle-stage warrior. It’s dangerous for me to be on the battlefield…but I can’t just head back.’

Although her energy was weak, Beatrix thought she might be able to do something. One thing was clear as she had looked at the battlefield: the fight now was heavily in the Dark and Demonic Faction’s favor.

The empire with the Light Faction were losing, and she was sure they were starting to feel it. If she could get in front of the other Dawnblade Clan elders, maybe she could convince them to stop.

To state that Impress had fallen, and if they continued, it would just be a loss of more lives. This was her way; she could help Raze while also not taking part directly in the fight.

‘If anyone comes in my way, I’ll just injure them or attack them off me…I won’t have the strength to fight the Elders…I just have to hope that they will listen to me…they have to.

They’re not all like Impress; they truly believe in the Light Faction’s goal, and what is happening around us right now is not it.’

Beatrix pushed herself up and rushed off. As she did, she glanced behind her, as she could see that the fight with Raze and Heino was still going on.

‘Thank you, Raze…I was able to do what I needed to do, and now it’s your turn, to finish off this war!’

A lot of the major fights had nearly been done and dealt with, allowing for the core members in the Demonic and Dark faction, as well as the rest of Raze’s allies, to push forward.

Doing this, they were close to reaching the wall of the main empire. The push was giving them the strength to continue.

It was hard to imagine at first that those who were smaller in number would be able to do so much, but once those like Zon and the Crimson Crane were able to push and continue to help, it had made it clear that there was a large difference in strength.

All of this was being shown and displayed by Bubble as he used his special devices to try and capture as much as possible.

One of the special devices was located on one of the key battles that were taking place. Bubble was fascinated by what he could see because he was looking at a figure that had gone missing, and most had presumed he was dead.

Murkel.

The leader of the Dark Faction had returned, and he wasn’t afraid of using his particular red hybrid form anymore.

He was battling against the multiple clones of Enaxx. As he swung his arm, it formed into a giant red crystal, making a sharp red knife.

It spread out across the field and crashed into the giant earth pillars that had been created.

Enaxx had made himself platforms so he could strike at Murkel from above, but it didn’t seem to be working.

As the Enaxx fell from the pillars that they had built, all of them used different means of magic to keep themselves up.

“You don’t have the forest to protect you like the time before!” Murkel claimed. “And I’m going to rip you to shreds like you did to all of the others!”

Murkel jumped up in the air and then placed both of his hands together. The red crystals grew from his body, almost forming a giant hammer as it was aimed at one of the Enaxx’s.

Before it was swung down, one of the Enaxx’s shot two giant vortexes of wind in his direction. Another next to him added two fiery dragons that twirled around the vortexes.

It crashed right into Murkel’s body with great ferocity and force. The vortexes and dragons were almost alive as they moved his body to their will, lifting him up in the air before forcing him back down and crashing into the floor along with him.

A wave of flames spread across the floor. Already a large amount of the fighting had moved forward, so there were very few people who were near them, but the tail end that were towards the back had been hit by the heat wave.

Murkel lifted his body up, and red crystals shattered from all around him, but he still appeared completely fine, as if his body was hardly hurt.

“Is this all you have? Are you going to do the same as last time, just keep attacking me from afar and wear me down!” Murkel shouted.

“That is exactly what I will be doing.” The Enaxx’s stayed far away. “Because that is how a mage fights. I am not like you barbarians; I won’t be goaded into a stupid game. In the end, the victor is the one that survives regardless of the outcome.”

Murkel couldn’t help but laugh as he heard those words.

“If you weren’t a mage, you would be suited for the Dark Faction, because that’s exactly how we think!” Murkel shouted as he started to infuse his dark qi into his strikes.

His body was done warming up, and now he was ready to finish off Enaxx…because the longer the fight went on, the bigger his disadvantage was.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, Bubble’s special device was now also focused on one other major fight, the fight between Raze and Heino.

In particular, there were a lot paying attention to this for various reasons. They all felt the Dark Magus was the one leading this fight, but equally, they had never seen something so strange.

These strange array of powers that were being used, it almost felt like they were watching a play of sorts. The device that Bubble was using was so high-tech that it was able to catch the time freeze moments as well.

It was nail-biting for those watching, as they knew everything that was happening was real, and at any time they could possibly lose their life.

When they witnessed Raze being hit and him falling to the floor, they were truly worried for him.

They thought it might be the end until they saw him standing up again.

For Raze himself, he had an idea of what had just happened, why he suddenly felt lighter, and he had attempted to speak to the blood woman, but there was no sound.

“That item, he talked about it removing a soul; instead of my soul, did it remove the soul of the bloody woman? That’s the only thing I can think of,” Raze thought.

He looked toward Heino, who had been shouting a few words. It was clear he was disappointed by the outcome.

Oddly, if Raze didn’t have the bloody woman attached to him all this time, then there was a good chance that right now he would have died.

‘There is still a good chance that Heino has a number of items on him,’ Raze thought. ‘My life was nearly just taken now…I shouldn’t be holding back. I wanted to, because of my fight with Enaxx that will take place after this, but I need to fight with full force as well.’

Raze then walked forward, his weapon was now gone, but he had something even greater on him.

“Heino, I won’t let you use your powers anymore…today, I will be known to slay the last emperor of Alterian!” Raze claimed, as his blazer started to emit a small glow.

The special Blazer that Raze held was starting to emit magical energy. From the beginning, Heino could tell it was strange and that it had strong properties of Dark Magic.

It was why Heino didn’t even bother to use his strongest tool, time freeze, because it simply just wouldn’t work on Raze.

It already had powerful effects, destroying parts of magic that were coming close to it, but now that it was emitting even more power, it was starting to worry Heino slightly.

“An item like that, with that much Dark Magic, must be cursed!” Heino claimed as he transformed his earring and started to fire away at Raze.

Now Heino was using his power to speed himself up as well as he continued to fire away. Raze was moving his body slightly, letting it hit his Blazer, and the bullets were just disappearing as they ventured inside.

Several of the bullets were starting to explode with strong magic energy again, and Raze was back on the move, using his lightning boots.

It was a game of cat and mouse with the two. Raze constantly moving after where Heino was, and now Heino was much more cautious compared to before.

Raze had managed to land a hand on Heino, but it was because Heino had allowed him to; he wanted to so he could use the power of the ring, but this time…

Whenever Raze would close the distance, Heino would use his reversal spell to put him back two minutes to the location he was at before.

“Nothing has changed, Dark Magus, even with that fancy blazer of yours!” Heino shouted.

The attacks were building up on Raze’s body. The blazer was protecting him somewhat but not fully. Unlike Liam as well, there was no way for Raze to try and calculate where Heino would appear.

“I was afraid I couldn’t use the sands of time to see into this fight…there was a relatively large disruption, and I guess it’s coming from that Blazer of yours, but whatever it is, it appears that you can’t use it unless you can touch me!”

The bullets continued to fire away, and Raze now had decided to use his Dark Edge sword arts. The Dark magic expanded out from his back, allowing him to move even faster.

As he ran through the air, dark magic started to linger, closing up the space.

Still, Heino was able to reverse time, moving himself. There seemed to be no limit to how many times he could use the reversal, making it almost impossible for Raze to touch him as he went from place to place.

“I have vanquished every person that has come in my way. I have survived so long as I was told to do!” Heino claimed. “Emperors are made to live in history books forever, and I am the first emperor to be stuck in time, living on forever.”

For the emperor Heino to have survived this long, it was no doubt that he had used his own time magic; anyone could have figured that out. But all of these details, about who Heino was, why he was working for the Grand Magus, and more, none of that mattered to Raze.

“You’re right!” Raze said as he continued to move around the area. He had even used part of his wind magic to move above, and nearly the entire space was turning black with lingering dark magic.

“This item is incredibly powerful depending on whose hands it’s in…and you’re right, Dark Magic enchanting, it always ends up with a curse. If that’s what I need to do to defeat you, then so be it!”

Finally, Raze had run around the area so much with his Dark Edge sword arts combined with his dark magic that it had covered the entire area, the floor, and the ceiling around them.

Then Raze started to swing his sword, slashing them in the air, crimson slashes all going up to where Heino was. He tried to use his time reversal as he had done throughout the fight, but it wasn’t activating.

He quickly had to use the guns to fire at all of the slashes in the air, getting rid of them, and then he saw Raze walking over to him.

“What is this?” Heino asked. “How…how were you able to stop my time reversal?”

“You should know, right?” Raze asked. “Isn’t this the reason why you got rid of Dark Magic? The power to destroy everything it comes across. The whole area around us is now covered with Dark Magic…maybe you can still cast your magic, but where to? It can only reverse until a particular time, right? So I’m guessing you can only reverse to a particular space, but all magic has stopped in this space…this is checkmate.”

Heino looked startled, but there still seemed to be a lot of fight in him. When he went to move, Raze burst forward, moving as close to him as possible, and then something strange started to occur.

The blazer he was wearing, it grew in size, almost dragging across the floor like a long piece of fabric.

“I know, you haven’t lost the will to fight; you probably have a number of items and surprises, but I won’t risk it anymore…I really didn’t want to use this, but it’s the safest way for me to win this.”

Raze then turned around, and the large piece of fabric was seen falling on Heino. It covered the entire area he could see; there was nowhere for him to run.

With the guns, he continued to fire into the fabric, but it went into nothing, as if it was a dark void. Then the fabric fell on top of Heino, it lay flat onto the ground, and he was nowhere to be seen.

The blazer started to shrink back down to size, and just like that, Heino was gone, dealt with, never to be seen again.

The special artifact that was displaying the fight between Heino and the Dark Magus had managed to catch everything, but the people who were watching all over the cities and towns were left confused by what just happened. It almost felt anticlimactic for them.

And they were struggling to understand what they had seen.

A tense fight going back and forth, with a use of items and powers they didn’t understand. Surely the fight between two mages would end with one either outwitting the other, maybe a large final attack, but there was none of that.

Instead, they had just seen the strange power used from the Dark Magus’s clothing of all things, and then when landing on top of Heino, him disappearing.

Some thought Heino might use his powers to return, others thought it might be a time thing until Heino came back, but Heino never did come back, and Raze knew it as well.

The fight, the match, all of it was over, and Raze was the victor of it all.

‘I’ve finally defeated Heino,’ Raze thought as he lifted his hand by his head, and it started to ring in pain. A drastic amount of pain started to hit his mind.

It was something he could bear through, and he knew why it had activated, because it was the Curse of the God-tier item he had on him.

Only Raze knew the pain of the curse that he was going through now, and for him, it was a devastating one.

Raze had always had a feeling when enchanting items, it was as if his own Dark Magic knew who the items were going to be for.

At times, Curses seemed specific to the user that it was created for. A good example of this was Dame’s created item.

Then when Raze had managed to get his own god-tier cursed item, he felt like it was the same again. For him, it was possibly the worst outcome of a curse, but to another, it might have been no problem at all.

The Blazer had nearly all of the benefits that were created by his wife. Enhanced healing when out of battle, a storage unit that could keep all of his items kept inside.

Then there were the Dark Magic traits to them, and finally, there was the new effect that it had, the effects that would make it a god-tier level item.

The power of Absolute Nullification. It allowed one to nullify any magic, energy attack, physical strike that touched, even reality-bending powers, death spells, and divine attacks.

Anything that was thrown its way, the special blazer could be used to stop the attack. The way it stopped it though, was more so the attack was completely consumed.

And it wasn’t just limited to attacks. The Blazer could be used to consume objects, and that included people.

As Raze placed his dark magic into the robe, he was almost feeding it to grow larger, and then, when he moved it over Heino, he had activated its power, completely consuming him.

Now Heino was nothing, as if he never existed, and no matter what attacks, no matter what powers would be used, all of it would have been consumed.

It was truly an artifact that deserved to be at the god-tier level and would be able to change the tide of any fight.

Something like this would be perfect against the Grand Magus, if only it wasn’t for the Curse that was attached to it.

Each time Raze used the special power of the robe, it would also consume a piece of his memory. There was no further description.

Which memories would be consumed? Would it start from the oldest to the newest? Did it matter how big of an attack he consumed as well? None of it, and it was part of the risk he had to take.

Some would think it was a fair trade, one’s memories for such a powerful item, but for Raze, it was near impossible for him to use the robe.

His memories were everything that made him what he was, that had pushed him this far.

He had memories of his dear wife Sabrina, which he wished to keep every day, all of the good moments he spent with her, and the pain he had when he lost her.

His best friend Jake, and everything that occurred to him and his family, and then there was everything that had happened between him and the Grand Magus, everything he had done as the Dark Magus.

All of his memories built him up to who he was and was what was driving him to his revenge. If he lost his memories, he was afraid, afraid that he would lose his reason for fighting.

It was an item that he never wanted to use. Maybe even the recent memories of Simyon would be lost, and the time he spent with him.

The memories of all of his allies around him. That was true fear, and it was the worst item of its kind to be handed to Raze.

Still, he had decided to use it, as Heino was one of the key figures in the fight. He had only used it once to consume Heino, and right after that, it was gone.

The pain he received in his head had confirmed the memory had been deleted or consumed in its place, but Raze didn’t even know which one it was.

“Alright….now..it’s finally time,” Raze said. He stretched out his hand; his head was still hurting slightly, but he needed to move on and give it everything he got against his next opponent.

The special helmet that had been created by Alter was now in his hand. He then placed it on his head; with it, the pain had subsided quickly.

“Now, time to kill ENAXX!” Raze shouted as he jumped off.
