During the major fights that were taking place, the war carried on, and the main leaders in pushing forward were the Crimson Crane.
They were able to target the key members of the Empire that were using the items from Alter.
In some cases, they had destroyed the generals completely; in others, they had used their powerful items against them.
In a lot of ways, the items lent by Alter might have been their downfall. The powerful items were given to the generals.
This was typical as it was believed that the strongest and most important members for the war were to be handed them.
This was also the reason why they were targeted, but with them falling, there was next to no one to pick up their place.
There was chaos amongst the soldiers that were continuing to fight. They were just doing what they could to survive.
Even with the items they had been given from Alter, many didn’t know how to use them properly, and they were fighting against Pagna warriors for the first time.
The use of Qi was hard for those that weren’t in the world to grasp. They didn’t understand the dangers of a fist, or how the warriors could move around.
How warriors were able to fight against swords with their bodies. All of it was striking fear.
The Empire’s people were wondering if the two of them were even of the same race.
As the war continued to move on and the war was clearly being dominated by one side, a common thought was being spread across the people.
‘The pact between the warriors and civilians, that was there to protect them.’
It wasn’t to make sure that humanity wasn’t completely destroyed. It wasn’t to protect the warriors who were lacking in number.
It was to protect the lives of civilians who didn’t wish to train their bodies or achieve immortality.
Now they were starting to understand that. As they were being pushed back closer and closer to the wall with no orders, they didn’t know what to do.
The only thing that they could rely on were the warriors they had on their side, those of the Light Faction.
But they were unaware that all of the main leaders of the Light Faction had fallen to the enemy.
Some of the higher-ranked Light Faction warriors had retreated onto the castle wall.
Fighting was taking place alongside it. Alba was pushing, fighting against various of the Light Faction leaders, and next to her was Cornker, Lily, and Tilion.
They were a force to be reckoned with as they fought together, and they were proving themselves.
That those that started from a Wander clan could even fight against those from the top Light Faction clans.
It was part of their journey, what they had set out to prove. When they had no place in any of the factions, when people laughed and ridiculed them all.
They had managed to overcome all of that and reached the position they were in.
On the wall on the other side, Beatrix had also managed to scale the area, and with her, Safa, Liam, Dame, Rayna, and Fing had caught up.
Thanks to Safa’s healing powers, Beatrix was feeling a lot better and wasn’t as weak as she started out.
As for those that she was going up against now, that were in front of her, they were the elders of the Dawnblade Clan.
“Wait!” Beatrix said as she pulled her sword out in front of the others.
“I don’t think there is a need for our two sides to fight!” Beatrix shouted. “Look at the war that is going on, you should be able to tell with your eyes, the flow of the fight.
“It’s already useless, the victor has already been decided in all of this. The support you had from Alter has fallen, the Light Faction leaders that brought you into this pointless war, all of them have fallen!”
The Elders looked nervous as they were looking at a former ally that was in front of them.
They seemed to be more hesitant as they listened to Beatrix. They remembered when she was in the clan. Her actions, how she was one of the most moral out of all the others.
“Impress fed you lies!” Beatrix shouted. “She was the one that had killed Ricar…I saw what she had done, how she was able to get into her position.
“I’m sure some of you might have already known all of that, and I did too, so she wanted to get rid of us. But none of that is important.
“Right now, you are some of those that hold the most weight in this war!” Beatrix said. “As members of the Light Faction, you should know that the best thing you can do, is convince them to stop it.
“We don’t have to continue! If you do, if you don’t give up this fight now, there’s a good chance that the Dark and Demonic Faction will enter this city, and even those that aren’t part of the war will get hurt!
“If it gets to that point, neither me or you can stop them!”
The Elders’ hands were shaking. They didn’t say anything as they stared to their left where the fight was continuing to take place.
Then they stared to the right, where they could see the worried faces of the public. Hoping that the enemy didn’t get through.
In the end, the Elders of the Dawnblade Clan had made their choice.
“Beatrix is right…we must stop this fight! Spread the word!” The Elder shouted. “Spread the word that the Dawnblade clan has surrendered. The Light Faction has fallen and suggests that the others do the same.”
For Beatrix, this was the best result she could have hoped for, but just as members of the Dawnblade Clan were ready to spread out.
They could see it, something was changing on the battlefield, something no one understood.

The group were on the wall and they believed they had reached a closing point for the war.
Once the battling all over had stopped, then they could focus on finding out where the Golden Globe was.
It was the main reason for the fighting to have started in the first place, and it was clear it wasn’t on Heino’s body.
At the rate everything was going, there was a good chance that there would be no one left to ask, and they would have to search the entire place.
Still, with war, it would take a while to settle down; it wasn’t an instant victory, to say the least.
White flags needed to be waved, and shouts far and wide needed to be made in order to inform everyone.
That’s when large explosions occurred out in the battlefield. Giant flames were swirling in a particular place.
Large currents, lightning, and ice were freezing over, while the terrain was moving.
Those that were in the centre of the battle, in the centre of the fight, were getting attacked. The force was getting pushed back.
“Is that…all magic?” Liam asked. “But who’s doing all of that? Nearly all of the mages in Alter have been dealt with, right?”
“Right.” Safa answered as she used her god eyes to evaluate what was happening, and she couldn’t quite believe it herself.
The battle between Murkle and Enaxx had continued. At first, Enaxx was on the back foot in the fight.
Murkle was more powerful than before, his red crystallisation could grow far larger, and his body was tougher than the last time they fought.
But when he took that out of the equation. It was almost as if he was fighting the same particular person as last time.
Enaxx continued to use a mixture of his magic powers on Murkle, planning to chip away at him a bit at a time.
He had particular spells like Ice, Earth, and Wind where he could slow Murkle down as much as possible.
Combination spells to cause a large amount of damage, and then focused on his fire when he wanted to do large-scale attacks.
Eventually, Murkle would lose the fight, and now Enaxx almost felt like he was in a training regime where he just had to do the same thing over and over.
Most like fighting a boss in a type of game, as long as he avoided particular moves although slow, he would eventually deal with the enemy.
As he was doing this, it gave him time to have a larger observation view on the battlefield, and he was aware of what was happening.
‘I can’t believe it, all of them failed, including the old emperor?’ Enaxx thought. ‘I could tell that Heino thought of himself as bigger and better than us.
‘And now look at the result he had given. I knew Idore was wrong to put so much trust in him. I guess this was why I was sent in the first place, to make sure that things went smoothly.’
It was then that Enaxx had decided to make a choice. In the middle of fighting against Murkel, he had done something, something that not even Murkel had noticed.
In the battlefield, large amounts of magic were being used. The warriors were left in confusion as they faced it.
It was coming from all directions, and the magic being cast was starting to spread across the entire place.
The only ones that had a clear picture of what was going on, was Safa who could see it with her god eyes, and then Liam’s system that allowed him to see it.
“That’s Enaxx…that’s the guy that Murkle is fighting against, but what is he doing across the whole battlefield?” Liam asked. “I knew he could clone himself, but what is this.”
Enaxx had spread himself across the battlefield, and he had made multiple clones of himself.
He was disrupting the whole field as he cast magic in each of the areas, and a single person was now changing the state of the entire battle that was happening.
Not long after, an Enaxx had landed on the wall of the castle as well, right in the centre.
“Will you look at this?” Enaxx said. “You guys are the ones that were troubling me, right? The ones that made it so now I have to do all of the work?”
Enaxx stretched out his hand, and lightning shot right out towards Beatrix and the others.
They had raised their weapons, ready to defend, until a person had fallen right from above. They swirled the lightning with their sword.
It had gathered, covering the entire weapon, and then he thrusted the sword forward, striking right into Enaxx.
As it struck his body, it continued to vibrate. Lightning emitted from the man’s feet, and he launched himself forward, slicing Enaxx’s head right off.
“Is that…is that you Raze?” Liam asked.
Raze was wearing the same clothing as before, but he now had the Helmet on his head.
“It is.” Raze answered. “It seems I was mistaken about Enaxx’s power. Whenever we had fought, he had never cloned himself more than this.
“I thought he was limited by the amount of different affinities of magic he had, but I was wrong. I can tell though, his magic in each of these fake bodies of his, its weaker. He must be splitting himself thin.”
“Raze.” Safa said. “Most of Enaxx’s magic is still concentrated where Murkel is.”
Raze nodded.
“All of you have done well. Clear the field of the other Enaxx’s, and I will deal with the real one. I have a feeling that unless we kill them all, Enaxx will still be able to escape somehow.
“So I ask you all, to do your best and aid me, in helping get rid of the Dark Magus.”
Raze looked right ahead, and he could see where he needed to be. He stood on the edge of the wall before giving his last word to the others.
“Good luck.”

Wearing the helmet, Raze had jumped off the wall and went through the battlefield. He was traveling quickly, but he didn’t completely ignore what was happening as he went past particular areas and situations.
He saw the clones of Enaxx causing a rampage with their magic. If they were nearby, he would swing his sword, casting sharp and powerful wind magic. The power of Qi, the power of his enchanted weapon, technique, and magic all formed as he performed the attack.
In one case, it had sliced right through a vortex tornado that had been cast and then continued on, slicing Enaxx’s body right in half, turning it into seemingly nothing but mana particles.
‘Enaxx has the power of a nine-star mage, but with my Qi, my weapons, technique, and magic, I can best him. Not just that, but it feels like Enaxx has spread himself too far and thin.
‘These clones of his, their magic power is not that of a nine-star mage,’ Raze thought. ‘Spreading himself, making this many of himself, it has to have some effect on him. Whether it’s fatigue or on his powers. Otherwise, Enaxx would be the strongest mage in the world.’
That thought made Raze smile a bit because Enaxx was already considered one of the strongest mages in the world.
Continuing his trek through the fight, Raze swung his sword at those that tried to attack him. They still hadn’t gotten the message from the other Light Faction members that the fighting was meant to be stopped.
This little interruption had turned into quite the problem. With a single flick of Raze’s wrist though, his powerful Qi would knock their hands back, and many didn’t try and attack him twice because of it.
Seeing another Enaxx, Raze took a step with his fist and threw it out with his dark magic and Qi crashing right into the center chest of an Enaxx. This time, it had gone through his flame magic, taking him out.
Then Raze could see it up ahead; he had finally reached the area where Murkle and Enaxx were fighting. There were around eight Enaxxs surrounding Murkel, using an array of different spells.
Murkle was struggling to get close to any of the Enaxxs; the frustration could be seen on his face, but also his will, the fact that he still wanted to fight no matter what.
‘Thanks to the helmet, I can keep battling. I have no clue what memory was lost, but what I do know now, is that my anger for Enaxx still grows just as bright as ever!’ Raze thought.
He placed his sword by his side and continued to charge ahead. Lightning magic powered his feet while dark magic consumed the back of his weapon.
The hair on one of the Enaxxs’s arms started to stand up, and when he turned around, he could see it. A pulsing wave of Dark Magic was right behind him.
“As I thought, you were going to come right to me!” Enaxx said as he placed both hands on the ground; several walls of earth were rising up between the two, but it didn’t matter.
“Dark Edge sword arts, fourth formation!” Raze called out. “Void pulse formation.”
The sword thrusted forward, breaking every wall of earth between the two, and in an instant, Raze had reached the Enaxx, his sword stabbed right through the center of his body, and a few seconds later, it disappeared into nothing but particles.
“That’s one down, Enaxx. I’m going to get rid of every single one of you now. I’ve been waiting for this!” Raze said as he looked at the others.
At the same time, it was the break that Murkle needed; he saw a gap, and he extended his red crystallized arm, slashing off the head of one of the other Enaxxs.
Now the eight had quickly gone down to six.
“Oh, so the two of you are working together now?” Enaxx claimed. “It seems that there is a need for the two of you, to beat me, the two of you need to team up just to take me down.”
It was strange for Raze, he had to admit. One of the toughest fights he had in Pagna was going up against Murkel. They weren’t exactly allies, but they had a common enemy in front of them.
Raze had a good idea in order to finish Enaxx off all of his clones had to be defeated. There was no real body, but instead, the last one would become the real body.
“Enaxx, let’s finish this off. In here, in the world of Pagna, there is no longer the chance for them to get involved. Today, I will finally achieve my goal!”
Elsewhere, Raze’s allies had descended onto the battlefield. They had spread out to deal with the situation, as they went for the clones of Enaxx.
At the same time, the Elders of the Light Faction were spreading the message as well, that it was best for them to surrender, there was no reason for them to fight, but with the attacks continuing, they wondered what it was they should do.
The answer had become quite clear for them soon. Enaxx, who was meant to be their ally, was just attacking anyone and everything in sight. There was no ally or enemy in his eyes as he continued to strike.
Because of these actions, the entire situation was turning quickly, and they were able to beat the Enaxxs that were spread all over the place rather quickly.
Enaxx didn’t mind this though, as the six of him looked to face Murkel and Raze, he could feel the other Enaxxs getting destroyed as his power was growing more and more, with each one of them falling.
“It’s time for me to use a skill that seemed to be created by the Dark Faction leader just to fight against mages,” Raze declared as he held the sword up. “It wasn’t best suited for Henio but for you it will be perfect. The seventh Dark Edge Sword art formation, the Abyssal Chant Formation.”

It was unfortunate that Raze no longer had his Ghost blade on him; it was a weapon he had used throughout his time in Pagna, something that went hand in hand with his Qi, giving him even stronger strikes.
But instead, he used the thinner wind-enchanted sword. It was lighter than the others and silent when it struck. Now having activated the seventh formation, runes started to appear on the edge of the sword.
They formed using his dark magic.
‘When Shay used this, it had a completely different effect, but I figured out why that was. It’s one of the few skills that are meant to be used with magic rather than without, so she had somewhat adjusted the move. It was also why I had difficulty trying to learn how to use the formation.
‘I had always learnt how to use the formation without magic first and then added in the magic part after, perfecting the technique, but that wasn’t the case with this one.’
The sword started to vibrate after the runes activated on it, almost like a hum. Raze swung the sword by his side, and then he rushed forward, charging straight ahead, and on the other side, Murkel had done the same.
Enaxx had positioned himself so he equally had three of himself facing Murkel and the other three facing Raze.
On the side of Raze, there was a lightning mage, a fire mage, and a lightning mage. The three of them were quite a deadly combination, and Enaxx was making full use of that.
First, lightning fired at Raze’s feet, but Raze had quickly avoided all of the strikes, moving side to side.
Seeing this, instead, a large tornado of wind was summoned, and then adding to its devastation, fire magic was included in it. It created a large fire tornado with extreme heat.
While the other Enaxx was firing powerful lightning spells, directing where Raze would go right into the flames, but he didn’t care, Raze ran straight ahead and swung his sword right into the storm of magic.
“Being on this land has turned you into a fool,” Enaxx claimed. “That is 9-star magic, just swinging your sword with Qi is not going to get rid of it!”
When Raze swung his sword, all of the runes started to light up, and dark magic expanded out from the blade. It broke through the wind and fire like a pulse. The dark magic and formation broke the magic spell completely.
It made it as if the spell had never been used in the first place, and then Raze landed right on the ground.
‘It’s a skill that works a weird way, pulsing out dark magic only in one instance in such a way it can disrupt certain Qi and magic, so it wouldn’t have really worked on Heino, but in this situation!’
Raze landing on the ground stretched out his hand and moved the floor underneath one of the Enaxxs, pulling him towards him while Raze himself ran right at the man.
With his sword, he swiftly attacked, but noticed that it had hit a barrier of sorts.
‘Oh, it’s the first time the barrier activated on the blazer, is he the real one? Was my theory wrong?’ Raze continued to swing his sword and attack, but he noticed the barrier was made of lightning.
It wasn’t quite the effect of the blazer. Instead, it was activating with his magic, but due to Raze’s own blazer effects, he was unable to feel it.
Enaxx quickly used lightning on the ground, aiming to stun Raze, but he had shifted his position, appearing from behind. With one hand, he then pressed on the lightning barrier.
He could feel the current go through his body, but breaking through, he quickly stabbed his sword right through Enaxx’s head, finishing yet another one, turning them into nothing.
With the Enaxx killed so quickly, Raze now was looking at the other two, the fire and wind mage that were stood next to each other.
“I was a fool,” Raze commented. “Truthfully, when I saw you, I wanted to best you with my magic. All the times our fight got interrupted, there was some pride I had as a mage.
“When I was in my breakthrough as a nine-star mage, it gives me more options, but I can see now. To all of the mages, fighting with magic and Qi, it’s a great weakness for you all.
“I want to thank you, Enaxx, because of you, I know full well that I will be fine when it comes to fighting the rest of the Grand Magus.”
Enaxx shoved both of his hands forward, and rather than a tornado of wind, this time it was countless sharp strikes of wind magic. Each one had the power of a powerful strike that was dealt with a sword.
Using the same formation as last time, Raze simply swung his sword in the air, the runes activating and breaking the entire spell all at once. It didn’t just stop at the first but had stopped them all.
Enaxx was taken aback as he saw this.
“The Dark Magus…is nothing like he is before,” Enaxx claimed.
The other issue was, it wasn’t just Raze that was doing a good job. Now that the five elements weren’t being used to keep Murkle contained, he had also forced himself, defeating another Enaxx, leaving him with four of himself.
Although his method was far more rough, covering almost his entire body in the red sharp crystal, then when getting close, cutting and breaking free from that crystal to reach his target.
“I will get the last strike, and I’m going to savor every moment of it…for Jake,” Raze declared.
Enaxx smiled as he heard those words.
“I never thought I would have to use it…but I’m not going to die in some foreign land, where my body will never be found, no way!”
Enaxx then reached and placed his hand across his chest, not just one of him, but all four that were there.
“Breakthrough!”

It was the first time, in all of the times that Raze had fought against Enaxx, it was the first time he had witnessed him use his Breakthrough. The last resort for mages.
A mass amount of power that would unleash at once through the mages body. The downside being that they were unable to use mana anymore.
The fact that Enaxx had decided to use that now meant two things, that he was in a desperate situation, and he planned to finish the fight with this.
The question was, what exactly did Enaxx’s Breakthrough look like. There wasn’t a single report that dictated or stated what the Breakthrough were of any of the Grand Magus; if there was, it would have been all over news articles.
It was because of this as well, that Raze could never claim he knew the very top of all of their powers. Now he was about to bear witness to it.
“BREAKTHROUGH!” Enaxx shouted, all of the clones were holding onto the chest, and the mana expanded out from their body.
Safa, who was sensitive to the magic out on the battlefield, could feel it from where she was; with her god eyes, she saw an explosion of magic all in one place.
The magical energy pulsated through the area, not once, but it had done so four separate times. As it rang out, different feelings could be felt. One of extreme cold, the other a large breeze.
Then there was that of extreme heat, and the next almost felt suffocating to them.
When both Murkel and Raze looked ahead at the four Enaxxs in front of them, it was almost impossible to even tell if they were really up against Enaxx, because his breakthrough had changed his forms completely.
‘This type of breakthrough…I should have expected it to be like this. With his unique trait, it also seems’ to have ventured out to his breakthrough as well.’
The reason why Raze was saying this, was because it wasn’t as if Enaxx had one breakthrough, it was almost as if four individual mages had four different breakthroughs.
In front of his eyes, there was a man’s body completely made of flames. Not a single detail could be visible apart from the outline that was shown around their body.
Then there was the one next to him, which appeared to be made of wind currents itself, constantly twirling around. Facing in the other direction was a man who was completely made of ice; even the flooring he was standing on was frozen over, and next to that, one made of water.
All of them were fully elemental bodies, all of them a different type of Breakthrough, and all of them now with a mass amount of magic at their fingertips.
The ice elemental body swung its arm towards Murkle, and the entire flooring path had frozen. It hit Murkle before he could move and was starting to freeze up his leg.
Murkle created more of the sharp crystals from his body, breaking the area around him, and quickly broke free as he tried to move. Until a jet stream of water hit him, cutting his body up.
It pushed him back, and before he knew it, a giant hammer of Ice was falling from above, ready to crash down on Murkel.
For Raze, he couldn’t exactly watch or stay still either, as the flame elemental of Enaxx burst his way right to Raze’s side, and was immediately firing off fireballs at him.
Raze was able to block several of the flaming balls heading his way, but could see from the top, several wind strikes, almost unlimited, coming from above.
A fire attack then struck Raze in his center. It dragged him up as if it was alive, like a dragon, and then crashed him onto the floor.
The flames didn’t stop there as a giant ball of fire was thrown down at his position.
Swinging outward though, was a large dark strike, it was the eclipse strike that hit the giant flame and engulfed it, destroying it, but it still hadn’t hit the two Enaxxs as they were quickly moving about.
Now that their bodies were elemental bodies, they were moving far faster than they did before.
‘I have to catch up to them.’
Raze had no choice as he summoned the Dusk wing formation. Dark Qi and magic combining as it made wings on the sword, and on his back. Rather than dark magic, he used lightning magic, allowing him to move faster.
Raze quickly ran about the area, swinging his sword. Attacks coming out and matching both of the elemental Enaxxs.
While the elemental Enaxxs moved, casting an array of fire spells and wind spells. The attacks were large, shaking the area, and there was back and forth as Raze moved through the area.
Just when he thought he had managed to get behind one of them, he swung down right at the top of Enaxx’s head but was blown away and hit by a large gust of wind.
Swinging his sword, he broke the gust of wind, but both of the Enaxxs were completely fine.
‘His breakthrough, it makes up for his weakness. When he splits the elements, I noticed his magic power got weaker, but when he only splits into five, that’s not the case.
‘He is a nine-star mage but can only use that one element, and now his magic is even stronger than before, and is matching up to my Qi with magic combo…not just that, although the Helmet is helping me with this fight…I’m running low on Qi as well.’
“You are fighting like a warrior, and that will be your loss in this entire fight!” Enaxx shouted as he charged forward.
“It won’t…I will show you, everything the new Dark Magus can do!” Raze declared as he lifted his sword up into the air. “The Eight Dark Edge Magic formation, Eternal Night!”

The Abyssal Chant formation, although it had the power to stop spells, that was where its limits lay. It wasn’t a move that particularly did well in terms of attacking.
The attacks now coming from Enaxx’s body were different from before. They were constant, needed next to no formations, almost just whatever he imagined he would be able to produce from his body.
This meant that the formation was useless in blocking these relentless attacks, especially with the power they had.
A downside to the Helmet that Raze was wearing is, he didn’t know how much pain his body was in. He had been hit by a few wind strikes, some devastating fire strikes a few times already.
Sure he could fight, but what if his body was a mangled mess and his body was just hiding it.
‘None of that matters,’ Raze thought to himself as he went and lifted his sword in the air. ‘This helmet can take my body, as I said today, Enaxx is not going to get away!’
The Eternal Night formation had finally been summoned. The visual Qi mixed with dark magic had covered the entire area. It wasn’t a dome-like structure, but the space itself had turned into darkness from the weapon.
When it expanded out, Enaxx quickly backed away, afraid of what it might be able to do. After all, the one thing he had to be cautious of was Dark Magic. He wasn’t sure what type of spells it could produce.
Nor what their effects were, but the black magic with Qi had spread out too fast that it had covered the entire area as if they were out in space.
It had also covered the area where Murkel and Enaxx were going head to head as well.
“What is all of this?” Enaxx asked. “Is this some type of trick…this space, nothing has changed, nothing at all!”
As Enaxx said those words, a large descending strike came from above; it had cut through the air. Rather than using his magic to counter it, he had decided to avoid it; it was always best for Enaxx this way.
“I see no difference in this space, is it really just a trick?” As Enaxx said those words, he saw multiple strikes coming through the air.
He had to quickly move out of the way. Thankfully, his two elemental bodies that were wind and fire were the fastest moving of the two. Yet the strikes were coming out even more often than before.
“There is a change…he’s attacking more often than before, is this the power of this space, does it not use up his Qi and magic?” Enaxx thought. “Still, it’s useless.”
When Enaxx was finally done stopping the last of the attacks, he looked around, trying to find where Raze was, until he could see him high up above.
He had the same wings on as he did when he used the Dusk Wing formation.
“Have you still not figured it out yet, Enaxx…now that I have summoned this space…you’ve lost,” Raze claimed.
Enaxx wasn’t attacking because there was something that was annoying him about the whole situation. The fact that the Dark Magus was so confident. He didn’t think he would be bluffing; why would anyone use such a skill in a fight that had high stakes.
“I can simply just buy time in this space, and it would eventually be your loss, but that is not how I wish you to fall!” Raze said as he swung his sword again, and a large dark strike came out of it.
Both of the elemental bodies fired out their magic, hitting the dark magic, making it disappear, and for the first time, Enaxx could feel that something was off.
“Crap!” Murkel said. “This damn space, it’s affecting me as well, are you trying to get rid of all of us, Dark Magus?”
The special space of the Eternal Night formation, when learning how to use it with Shay, it was the most interesting of techniques.
Once again, just like the 7th formation, although the process and how to use the skills were quite similar, the effect was different because it all depended on how the user utilized it.
When going against Shay, the entire space she was able to draw attacks towards and from. That was because she knew how to use the true trait of Dark Qi.
However, her move had no magic at all, so its effects were limited for Raze, there were two effects.
He could form larger strikes and gather more power if his attacks had dark magic in them, taking it from the space around.
Even with Enaxx’s attacks, they weren’t as powerful as they would be because he could focus the space to slowly destroy part of the attacks before reaching him.
To be honest though, these effects were minimal, especially for such a powerful mage like Enaxx. What was powering Raze the most and the best effect was his Demonic Qi.
All techniques that used the Dark Edge sword arts activated the Demonic Qi special trait, allowing him to consume the Qi of others. And it was no different with the eternal night formation.
Only the powers were amplified, because it was part of the effect of the skill in the first place.
Raze could use a number of skills without worrying because he was being empowered by Qi by the second, and it wasn’t coming from him, it was coming from his opponents.
‘Shay would have used her move against Heino, if it didn’t work then it means he would have had a counter with his time magic, but there is only one Heino,’ Raze thought. ‘Enaxx will have no way to get out of this.’
“Enaxx…I won’t let you just suffer in this space. I will take you out, with all the power I have, Nightmare Veil formation!”

The Nightmare Veil formation was one that Raze didn’t use much as it was a formation that took up a lot of mana and Qi. It wasn’t particularly powerful either, but more so something that would be used if going up against a large number of enemies.
In this case though, he wanted to trap and attack Enaxx from wherever he could. The mist that usually would come with the formation was almost non-existent under the guise of the Eternal Night formation.
As Enaxx was wondering what was happening, he was seeing beasts made out of Dark magic come right at the two of him. They were large in size and looked vicious.
Using a mixture of his wind and fire spells, he tried to incinerate them or cut them apart. As the beasts’ bodies broke down though, they would explode into parts of Dark magic, making their attacks even slower than before.
Right after a large beast exploded, Raze was right in front of the Wind-formed Enaxx.
“Void pulse formation!” Raze shouted out. He thrusted his sword forward and the power of Qi and magic had blown a large part of the wind away.
As the fire Enaxx was coming closer, Raze quickly changed, using the wing dusk formation, and started to swing his sword rapidly at the fiery Enaxx, keeping him at bay.
Raze then quickly moved so he was behind the wind form Enaxx, and then, used the Phantom Edge formation. His sword swung through Enaxx’s body, but it wasn’t just one strike.
The power of the Phantom Edge formation allowed for one strike to turn to many, coming from various different points. It was cutting up the Wind Enaxx body over and over.
The flame Enaxx was making his way, dashing through to try to save the Wind Enaxx, with a quick turn, Raze flicked his sword, and the 1st formation, the shadow bind formation of magic, had gone out, wrapping around Enaxx’s body.
Once again Raze turned around, and he was ready, the sword above his head, he swung it down using the eclipse strike, and the sword had gone right down the middle of Enaxx’s body.
It was enough to finish off even the wind elemental. The large mass of Dark Magic had consumed every single part of the body there was.
‘…even with him using his Breakthrough, I am finally able to best him, and it appears there is no way for him to break out of this space.’ Raze turned his head; he looked at the Enaxx that had been wrapped in his bindings.
The Dark Magic was affecting him, diminishing the flames of his own body.
As Raze was dealing with the two Enaxxs on his side, Murkel was also finding a large amount of success.
At first, it was very difficult for Murkel. The Breakthrough and forms of the body allowed spells to be cast quicker and in a wider range. Murkel was getting hit in every such way.
However, he noticed the magic getting weaker. When his body was encased in ice, he quickly could break out of it with his crystallized body.
Although the strange space created by the Dark Magus could consume Qi and Mana, it wasn’t able to get rid of his Hybrid powers. The crystallization of his body was stronger than ever.
In what appeared to almost a suicidal attempt, the ice Enaxx had tried to encase Murkel with his entire body, but Murkel controlled every crystallized cell in his body, destroying all large pieces of ice, and the Enaxx made of ice never seemed to form again.
Then there was only one left for him to deal with. Even with the breakthrough, if it was a one-on-one fight Murkle knew he could win.
Waves of water were doing next to no damage to his body, and he was relentless in his chase. The water elemental was supported by the powers of the ice elemental.
So now it was having next to no effect. When Murkel had managed to trap one in place, he had spread the hybrid spikes all form his body destroying it.
The two Enaxxs Mukel had gone against, had successfully been defeated, but his energy was getting weak, extremely weak.
‘I’ve been fighting for a while now…and if I don’t get out of this space, my life could be taken next as well,’ Murkel thought. ‘If I don’t leave now, then the Dark Magus will take out this Enaxx and then he will take out me next.’
Murkel turned his head to look at the situation, and could see that there was only the fire elemental body that was left.
“BIG MISTAKE!” Enaxx claimed as he burst right into flames and broke out of the binding. “As you take out all of the others, the power gets back to me!”
“Right,” Raze said as he lifted the sword above his head. “The only thing is, your power now is nothing like it was before, and I’m still just as strong as before!”
Raze swung his sword down, performing the eclipse strike. Enaxx in response to it, had then performed a large fire ball gathered above his head.
When the two attacks hit, it was only for a moment, that they had pushed back and forth, before the Dark Magic had broken right through and continued going forward.
Enaxx had to quickly move out of the way, still confused. Until Raze had appeared behind with his lightning enchanted sword and struck right from the back. It cut through the flame body and flung Enaxx into the floor.
“You split your body, you can only use those flames now right?” Raze said. “The only thing that I’m upset about, is that I couldn’t take even longer to beat you.”
Raze’s lightning feet scattered across the ground. Enaxx fired out flames at Raze, but he had avoided them all, and then when he was close he used the Void pulse, he zapped across the room and his sword stabbed Enaxx right in the center of his stomach.
The fight was over…or at least that’s what Raze thought, until right in front of his eyes, he saw The flame Enaxx leaving his body behind to turn into nothing but particles, and another one moving as fast as they could away form the battlefield.
