Dark Magus Returns #Chapter 1266: The End Of The War (Part 1) – Read Dark Magus Returns Chapter 1266: The End Of The War (Part 1) Online – All Page – Novel Bin

Raze nodded as dark magic covered his body changing his blazer as well as his helmet. The powerful effect of the Blazer would still be in effect even with Safa’s power so it was best he had changed it.

His body felt incredibly weak but he was still standing thanks to Safa.

“This is real, right?” Raze asked as he looked directly at Safa.

“Yes it is…you really accomplished what you set out to do,” Safa said. “I could tell right, that man he was one of the ones that you were after this entire time.”

Raze nodded. He was still in disbelief. There was a heavy burden that instantly had gone from his mind. A thought that he had for years. The memories he had held onto for so long had forced himself to try and remember daily so he could remember the anger.

It felt like he could finally let go off it all, but he also wanted to keep some, keep some of his dear friend.

‘Jake…I hope wherever you are, that you feel even a little better after what has happened today.’ Raze said as he smiled.

He was tired, extremely tired, living his life like this. Always chasing to get stronger, all for the sake of the grand Magus, but then he tensed both of his hands.

“My job…it’s still not done yet,” Raze claimed. “There are still the others out there, the others that I need to take care off.”

“Raze,” Safa said out in a soft voice. “I know you’re not done, but I think you can take this moment right? I mean, you know you have made a big accomplishment, and I know you always told us that you never meant to make a Pagna a better place.

“But in the process of what you were going for, you have changed the whole fate of Pagna.”

It was then that Raze had come to another realisation that he had completely forgotten about. Although he could see all of his allies in front of him, he had forgotten that there was a large war at stake.

So many people had committed their lives to the fighting. Just because the leader was taken out, didn’t mean that the war would be over, yet there was silence, and there was no more fighting on the battlefield.

“The war, it’s over…you guys won?” Raze asked.

“Don’t be stupid,” Liam answered. “We won, all of us played our part in this fight, those that are still here, and those that lost their lives, and all of it was under your banner!”

Just as Liam had said those words, Lince, Rayna, and Ami walked forward out from the others, they could see Raze was recovering well and the moment would have helped him but there was a pressing matter.

“Raze,” Lince questioned. “All of them are waiting for you, they’re waiting for your order, and what you plan to do next…with all of this.”

Looking at the battlefield, the warriors spreading out, gathering supplies from the various camps they had set up behind him, he could tell that the battle had truly come to an end.

In war, a fight didn’t have the result in the entire annihilation on one side. If anything it took a lot for one side to release that they had lost the fight in order to prevent as many loss of lives as possible.

After Raze talked to Lince and the others, they had ordered a few things to take place. First, the warriors weren’t to enter the city beyond the gate wall.

The citizens were frightened and there was no reason for them to enter, as the goal wasn’t to obtain anything from within. However, lives were lost in the battle, and someone had to take the blame.

As the victors in this fight, the Light Faction would have to offer something to the other side. In order to stop chaos, now talks would be put in place.

So a large tent was being built just outside set up for only the head of clan’s to currently be there. Several smaller camps were being set up, for the rest of the warriors staying there just in case the Light faction had changed their mind.

Eventually the Light Faction members, the heads and leaders would come out to talk, and they would deal with what was needed.

Currently inside the tent, Raze and most of his allies were there talking to each other. They were sharing what they had done on the battlefield, the hard fights they had been through.

Every once in a while, Beatrix was staring over at Raze.

‘Should I tell him what happened?’ She thought. ‘I could tell, when that thing, joined with me, I could tell that it was with Raze before…so should I tell him what’s going on?’

Beatrix was finding a hard time to come and go, as there were too many in this instance that were talking to Raze.

They all told him about the fight that took place, all told him and congratulated him for doing what needed to be done, and on the victory they had obtained.

Zon had dropped by, and Raze knew he had also successfully accomplished what he had needed. However, Raze could see that he didn’t exactly look pleased by that.

Zon had decided to not share the finer details, but they had agreed they would still continue with their deal until the very end.

Entering the tent, Bubble had hopped in excited, with a skip in his step, and Aurora was by his side as well.

“Dark Magus…you did a great job!” Bubble said. “I was able to capture everything that you did from start to end.

“The whole of Pagna is aware of your accomplishments and how you managed to take down the two Key figures in the fight!”

This wasn’t the first time. Although everyone deserved praise for their hard work. Raze had been praised heavily due to him not just taking out Enaxx who was causing them a large amount of trouble, but for taking out Heino as well.

Many predicted if one of these two hadn’t been defeated then victory was likely to slip completely through their fingers.

“I was wondering, do you mind telling me what you plan to do now, with all of this? You can practically ask the Light Faction for whatever you want?” Bubble said. “If I know ahead of time, we can prepare, maybe your even planning to unite all of the factions under one banner. Although there will be some troubles I doubt very much there will be a large amount of claims.

“After all there is now no doubt in anyone’s mind. You are the strongest warrior in all of Pagna!” Bubble said with joy.

An achievement that none of the clan’s or factions were able to achieve had been done today, and all because of an outsider.

“I don’t know,” Raze said. “I don’t know what will be done, because I’m not the one that will be making that decision. Rayna, Lince, and Amir, they are the representatives that will be speaking with the Light Faction and they will be deciding.”

“What!” Bubble said his eyeballs nearly bursting out of his head.

Sure Raze was close to his allies but why was he entrusting it to them? There was a simple reason for this, a reason that only so many people knew that was there.

Because it was time for Raze to leave. He would no longer be in Pagna anymore. With Alter being dealt with there was now no reason for him to enter Pagna.

“Have you set the deal up with them?” Raze asked Amir.

“I have,” Amir said. “Members of the Bonum society are allowed to head into the city to look for the Golden Globe. We have gathered some information already from the Empire of where he might have hidden it.”

Raze was sure that the Bonum society would have their ways of tracking down an item that belonged to them, but just in case he had another idea.

“Take Safa along with you as well, she will be able to help.”

Amir had no rejection, and not long after the group had gone off. For a few moments Raze could finally get some shut eye, he could rest for a bit.

It was the same for the others. The meeting was delayed until tomorrow as to what to do with the Light Faction. The Clan’s that hadn’t taken part in the war were asked to come.

And with so many leaders dying, they were struggling to find who would be their representative in all of this. At the same time, even Amir, Lince and Rayna had to align with what they wanted and to not upset those that had taken part in the war.

Then news had finally arrived, that they had found it, the golden Globe had been found.

The search through the city didn’t take long. They were searching for one thing only and that was the Golden globe.

Many thought he might have given it to others to take away in dire times locked it behind some grand magic but none of that was the case.

The truth was all of the powerful items that belonged to Alter had been moved to the Empire where the Palace was located.

They had discovered this when Shay had informed them of the special mask that Heino carried.

It didn’t take long through a series of conversations for them to figure out the truth that the empires that had been serving the people had been Heino all along.

In the search the questioning of the few Alter members around him and Shay herself it was hard to even pinpoint when he had taken care of the real emperor and now Heino was in their place, what this also meant was there was no one to lead the general public. It was just another issue for them.

Because of this they had figured out that the items had been locked away in the special empores vault. That along with other items that belonged to Alter which hadn’t been used on the battlefield.

Back on the battlefield itself in the large tent that now had several tables and areas set up Raze was sitting down with Amir opposite him informing him of all of this.

“It was to be expected, I’m sure of it he was also the emperor in Alterian as well, he must have managed to figure out a way to use his magical powers so he wouldn’t age or maybe even reverse it on himself.” Raze explained and he was thinking of one more thing.

One more special trait of the special Blazer of Razes that truly make it a god tier item. Blocking or destroying attacks making them go into the void wasn’t quite right but was the easiest way to explain, it had one more aspect the things it would consume part of that energy part of that power would go to Raze.

It still wasn’t a gain that he wanted that was big enough for him to use the power of the Blazer so much but at least it had that advantage and with it meant he too had unlocked the unique magic of time. However it would take him a while before he could even attempt to utilise it properly.

“I will need to visit the areas he has been too and see if there’s is anything I can find. Any records that might help me learn how to use this..”

“Are you talking about the golden globe?” Amir asked hearing Raze speak out loud to himself.

“Not that, you already told me, the use of the golden globe is a week away correct, I have one week left and it must be done on that day.” Raze replied.

“Correct although you would only need to wait a month if you wanted to use it properly again, so I would say to not worry too much if anything I thought you might not be in a rush to leave this place do you really want to leave everyone behind so soon?”

“While I am here they dare still out there and I have a feeling their actions are deeply impacting Pagna as we, I need to move as soon as possible. So where is the golden globe?”

Amir smiled before he answered.

“At the moment we have it somewhere safe only I and a few members of the Bonum society know where it is.”

Raze eyebrow twitched a little hearing this.

“Don’t worry we will keep our promise.” Amir answered. “I know there are a lot of people that wish to use the item. We have decided to keep the information limited for now incase there are others that wish to do bad with it.

“The Bonum society won’t go against you Raze. Everyone knows we wouldn’t have a chance at winning.”

Being with Amir for a long period of time and based on his won objectives they sounded truthful.

“So if you really plan to leave next week then you should be careful with your goodbyes to everyone here Raze.” Amir said. “You’ve made a big impact on a lot of people in a short amount of time.

“Which is why I came here to ask you for one last favour. Think of it as a goodbye gift for me and remember it was because of me that you are still alive. The academy was a dangerous place.”

Raze thought it was a little shameful calling in a favour from so far back but Amir was right.

“As long as it’s easy for me to do.”

“Easy is a little bit subjective in this case.” Amir laughed. “We have a meeting later today with the heads of the Light faction and the governors of the empire. It’s a meeting of all of the great powers from all corners of the land.

“I know you have No interest apart from the golden globe. As someone not form Pagna I understand but for me Pagna is now my home and it’s the home for all of us I wish to make it the best place it can be, and I believe you are needed for that.

“Come to the meeting tomorrow, I don’t want you to just be present but I want you to be there.

“For everyone it’s too much, they won’t be able to cooperate and the only person they will truthfully listen to is you. So I want you to think about a solution, a solution to save Pagna not with your fists or magic but with your head.” Amir requested.

Later in the day, several tables and seats had been brought into the large tent. They were placed in a particular triangle shape facing towards the centre.

Each section, of seats were set for different groups of people. The Dark Faction, the Demonic Faction and the Light Faction.

What was interesting about the meeting, was that it was one of the first where all of the Kingdoms spread through the land, as well as those from the empire were arriving as well.

Some of those even in the same territory didn’t get along, yet for the sake of the meeting they would have to sit next to each other, as if they were all part of the same group.

None of them had declined to come to the meeting as two events made things very clear for them. Their lives, the way they lived, it was in the hands of the warriors themselves.

The Empire was the largest singular force out of the non-warriors and they had fallen as well.

They had heard the stories of the Dark Magus, who had essentially eliminated an entire army himself. So now they felt like they were just along for the ride.

Rayna stood in the centre, in each different direction were the various leaders. Sitting around the outside where Raze’s friends and allies.

Those that didn’t really have a strong connection to a place or a clan, but just to Raze himself, and as for Raze himself, he was nowhere to be seen.

Things were getting a bit rowdy already so Rayna had decided to take charge. It seemed in the others eyes, who barely knew the truth she was still the Dark Magus’s other half.

So many wouldn’t even dare to interrupt her.

“Today we are here to talk about the proceedings of events between our three factions.” Rayna claimed. “The Dark faction and clans, along with the Demonic Factions had united forces to go against the Light Faction.

“The Light Faction has agreed to surrender. In a typical case like so, usually territory would be divided by both of the Factions.

“Leaders, Clan’s and more would be sent into each of the faction’s territory and start to implement their ways and rules.”

As Rayna said this, she could already hear several grumbles and growls coming from those in the Light Faction.

If there was anyone that was so stubborn about their way, it was those form the Light Faction.

“First, before we try and go through certain rules and aspects, are there any disagreements that wish to be heard out now?”

Rayna hated this part of life. The politics in particular matters. It was why clan’s kept so many Elders around so they could deal with the situation and they could just focus on getting stronger.

After asking that question, several hands went up, and most of them form the Light Faction.

“I would like to ask, what will happen of our clans?” One of the elders asked. “If they are under the banner of the Dark or Demonic Faction, doesn’t it mean the clan’s must forget their own arts?

“That they are to throw away hundreds and hundreds years of history. I think, there will be those that will be willing to fight for their lives to not give that up.”

Rayna knew that would be the case because it would be the same as any clan, and in the past, the result was, the complete annihilation of clans.

That was what had originally even started the wander martial arts. They were techniques that were lost to the battles that had taken place during territory disputes, so it was no wonder they were afraid.

“I have a question as well.” One of those from the empire said as they stood up. “Are you all now under one faction banner, if that does happen what does it mean for us.

“Will you be forcing, all of us to pay a heavy tax to support the clans. Is there no way we can dispute that between us, whats’ the deal with resources.”

Then another stood up.

“And what about the borders. The Demonic and Dark faction still exist, is it the same for trade between borders and kingdoms or what….”

The vision was becoming unclear, and because of it, the people were starting to speak up more and more.

Full on arguments were occurring as people pointed fingers and started to yell at each other.

At first, it started between the factions, but as the arguing intensified they start to shout at those next to each other.

Those from the same clans, those form the same kingdoms.

Zon was sitting on the outside, and along with everyone else they had their mouths wide open, they were shocked that this was the state of politics from those that ruled the entire land.

“This is quite normal.” Zon commented. “Pagna, although they might have a long history, it seems that they are in the early periods of politics. Their land has always been separated due to the ideals that the warriors faces.

“They are powerful with their own fists so they haven’t had to rely on technological advancements. Nor have they had to push to work together, until now.”

The others were beginning to understand. Often their lives were limited to their town or city, having maybe two trips a year to other places within the same faction.

It certainly felt like thing’s were about to change, but maybe they just weren’t ready yet.

“And I have another question!” One shouted at the top of their lungs. “Where is the Dark Magus! Shouldn’t he be here.”

In the middle of all of the arguing, they hadn’t even noticed, as Raze walked in, when he entered the centre a few had reconsidered him, and slowly they started to quiet down.

A wave passed as more and more started to quiet until there was silence.

This was the effect of a name, of the presence of a single person, of the Dark Magus.

“I…have a solution.”

When Amir saw that Raze hadn’t turned up, he was a bit worried. Even though they had spent quite a bit of time together now, he still wasn’t quite so sure about his whole personality of things.

He knew he was a man that put his own goals before anyone else, so would he even care for all of Pagna? Seeing him turn up now was quite the relief, but the nerves still hadn’t disappeared from him.

‘He said he made a proposal?’ Amir thought. ‘I wonder what it will be, and equally I wonder if the others will accept it.’

Now everyone was silent, waiting for Raze to speak.

“The truth is, there is a core issue among all of you, that you are divided into warriors and civilians. This is an issue that will never disappear, but you have to learn how to live among each other.

“So the first thing I will suggest, is the abolishing of the Factions.”

Immediately as Raze said those words, there was uproar from the clan members. In particular, one of the Demonic clan heads stood up.

“You can’t do that!” he shouted.

Raze turned his head to immediately look at him, and his fierce gaze had made it so the leader stepped back down into his seat.

“I mean, yes your the Dark Magus, feel free to do whatever it is you want sir…would you like a massage sir?” The leader said cowardly, which had caused a wave of embarrassment from those sitting next to him.

But they understood. In a way, what Raze said now, was what would happen, and all they could do, was try to convince him otherwise.

“The factions is what originally bought the clans from each part together,” Raze explained. “But right now, it’s what divides all of you.

“Division is what is causing the conflict in the first place. I understand you have a lot of culture and history within each of the clans, which is why I’m just suggesting the demolition of the Factions. The clans will still exist, but there needs to be some rule changes.

“Clans can have bases anywhere on the continent, as long as they kingdoms or Empires agree to a type of deal with each other. There is no this land and that land.

“Warriors are able to train under any arts even if their cultivation Qi does not match with another.

“The focus of the clans will be to perform the best martial arts, and that will be the focus. That is the aim of everyone after all. To excel in your martial arts, and reach the Divine realm? Then stop fighting each other and agree to go up.

“I understand the warriors wish to still prove themselves, and I think the marital arts tournaments are still a great way to do that, but they will no longer be divided by factions but clans instead.

“Although there will still be fighting amongst each other, large scale wars like what had happened, will be a thing of the past.

“As for the civilians, I suggest having one central government that commands orders to each city. Each city will have a representative that will take part in the central government.

“From there, every seat will have a vote in the ideals and laws of the central government.

“Lastly, as for those who will chose the representatives of each place, it will be the people. No matter what life they lived, where they come from, they will be able to have a say.

“And it goes without saying, that there will no longer be any borders between the lands in this case as well. Allowing everyone to go where they wish.

“All of you have been stubborn for far too long!” Raze said.

It was a proposal for sure, one that had some interesting aspects that some were happy with and others weren’t.

For one, it meant those currently that had a lot of power, would lose it, and those who had little say or power would raise up to be somewhat neutral.

The larger something was, the harder it was to control. So to leave cities and clans to their own devices was also a case they knew of.

But the issue was, these were the way things were somewhat like before. The only difference being the martial arts tournament and the central government.

“It all sounds idealistic to me.” One of the Light Faction Elders said. “The reason why we can’t agree on things, is because everyone has their own set of morals. Their own right and wrongs. Even from cities. To different clans that is inherently different.

“It might be fine at first, but eventually a clash will happen, which will cause things to go back to the way they were.”

Raze smiled as he heard this.

“You are right, and at the end of the day, history repeats itself one way or another, but what all we can do is try to create what is best for as long as possible, right?

“However, let me ask you all this, there was one thing that had worked. Something that had stopped the Warriors and Civilians from fighting each other for the longest time…and that was fear.

“Fear that those from above would descend down and stop the fight that was taking place.

“In the end. You are right, there is a need for a judge, to deem who is right and who is wrong, but the best thing to do, is to prevent the fighting from starting in the first place.

“Which is why, The Crimson Crane will be part of the Central government, and they will be the enforcers of the new world of Pagna.

“You have all seen their power, each one of them could annihilate an entire clan. Unlike all of you, they are wanderers as well. They don’t care for Light, Dark, or Demonic Factions, which makes them the perfect group for the job.”

“Us?” Alba said, pointing at herself, clearly not having been told a single thing before all of this.

There was a clear puzzled look on Alba’s face. Her and the rest of the Crimson Crane had no idea, but when she spotted the eyes that were looking at her, she had to quickly straighten her back and put a serious look back on her face.

“I am a single person, and although you can listen to me, I might not always be here. Which is why I am making the Crimson Crane an extension of me.

“They are to become a clan that makes sure there are those that keep the peace. They can recruit new members that will help with this cause.

“And if you’re asking who will keep them in check, then there is a way,” Raze claimed.

“I’m sure some of you have heard of the items that I create and the powers that I have. I will bind the Crimson Crane to follow a set of rules, not allowing them to abuse their power.

“If that power is abused and doesn’t follow the set rules, then they will be punished by the Curse and lose their life. This is not just something anyone who had a mass amount of power will accept.”

The other clan members understood that. The Crimson Crane was probably the most powerful clan in all of Pagna right now.

Depending on who had that power, different people would do different things. To force their way on others, to rule them with an iron fist.

But to sacrifice themselves, to be bound by these rules when they were already at the top, it wasn’t something a lot of warriors would do. It wasn’t the role that anyone at the top would be willing to accept.

“If that is everything, then the meeting can be closed out, and we can further discuss the finer details of it all over the next few days.”

There were grumbles, murmurs, and those who doubted the plan would actually work, or if it would benefit them.

In a lot of ways, those from the Dark Faction and Demonic Faction felt like they had come out of it at a loss.

They had won the war, so why did it feel like all of their power now had just turned into nothing?

Yet none of them could say anything due to the person that was making the requests.

“Alright everyone, break free!” Rayna said.

The room soon cleared out, with many giving gratitude to Raze before he left. As the room emptied out, Raze then walked over to the Crimson Crane at the back.

“A little heads up would have been nice?” Alba said. “I had no idea about all of this…plan of yours.”

“It’s because I was sorting out the finer details. It’s hard to create a complete system,” Raze said. “And about what I said before, it was a lie.

“Maybe if I researched into it, I could create such a curse, but I plan to do no such thing to the Crimson Crane.”

There was a sense of relief that went over many of those that were there.

“However, I think it’s important for the other clans to believe that this is the case. I’m sorry for being selfish. Since I will no longer be part of this world, I have to pass this role onto you. Of course, you are free to decline.”

Alba stood up from her seat and then looked back at the rest of the Crimson Crane.

“We were nothing but an infamous wanderer guild in the world of Pagna, with no place to call home.

“And now, we are the ones who get to deliver fear into them all, of course I accept.”

There were large smiles spread across all of their faces, and with their cursed weapons that could be handed down to the future Crimson Crane members, she was sure that now a legacy for the group she had created had been created today, which had always been her dream.

“Raze…I know you don’t like being touched, but..can I thank you for all of this, for this entire journey?” Alba asked.

Raze then put out his hand, allowing for a handshake. When Alba saw this, she jumped forward and hugged Raze tight suddenly.

Fighting himself to push herself away, he allowed it, at least for this moment. “ERMMM!” Rayna loudly cleared her throat, which caused Alba to pull away.

“Raze…remember to let us say a proper goodbye when you go. Don’t just leave without saying anything; you can’t do that to us after everything we’ve been through.”

Not giving a verbal answer, Raze nodded with a warm smile, and that’s when he noticed Zon appearing by his side.

“I would like to propose the same thing,” Zon claimed. “Raze is not the only one that will be leaving; me and Anna, the two of us, will also be heading back to Trozon.”

Raze didn’t forget his promise. He would use the golden globe to send them back first, as well as the other members of Alter that didn’t come from Pagna.

At least those that wanted to go back. Through talking, what he did find out, was that there were also those that wished to stay.

Those that had created a life in Pagna that was better than their old one and didn’t want to leave. “I do have to ask?” Zon said. “When you head for Alterian, are you taking anyone with you?”

Looking back, Raze turned to look at both Liam and Safa.

“Before I was reluctant to, but I am not the will of everyone here, you are free to do as you wish, anyone that wants to come with me can…but know that my journey is not done, and it might be very dangerous,” Raze claimed.

“Of course we’re coming!” Liam shouted. “We said we would; me and Safa are going to be with you to the end.”

Raze turned away, but there was a smile he couldn’t contain.

“If that’s the case, then I have something to give you, Liam,” Zon said as he walked over, then slapped the back of Liam’s neck.

“That is the latest and state-of-the-art system that Red had used. Now, Liam, you are the most powerful system user there is.”

No questions had been asked, no conversations had been had. Just like that Zon had implemented the new system into Liam.

It was almost the same as when the system had first entered him. Now a new system had been injected into Liam.

He could tell something was happening as there was a slight tingling sensation going over his body, and he could see the system was stating that it was updating.

“It will take a while before you can use the full power of the new system. As it needs to replace the old nanobots that are in your body with the new ones,” Zon explained.

“What did you do this for, why did you give me something like this?” Liam asked. “And have you given me a worse system than you guys have this entire time?”

Zon and Anna looked at each other with a smile.

“I think you are wrong about the assumption you made,” Zon corrected. “The system we have given you is one of a kind. There probably won’t be another one created that is as powerful as that. We are the ones that have the inferior system compared to you.”

Now Liam was left even more confused. The system had changed him completely. He was a slightly skilled low-stage warrior fighter. The system had made it so he could actually be useful compared to all of the monsters he was surrounded with.

Without it, he just wouldn’t have been able to keep up. So for them to give him something so precious.

“Shouldn’t you guys take this, you know you might need it on your home to fight bad guys or something?” Liam asked.

Zon shook his head.

“The situation is over, and if we are needed again, I have decided I do not wish to take part. There’s a reason why that system is one of a kind, it’s because it belonged to the Deleter Red…he was also from Trozon, and has made me think about a few things. Regardless, I think it will be best in your hands.

“Use it to help Raze anyway you can, when he goes to his homeworld. If his enemies are just as strong, or even stronger than what we faced here.”

Liam couldn’t say no, it seemed like this was to be forced upon him, but a better system didn’t sound like a bad thing at all.

Due to the battle with Alter, he was able to obtain two treasures in that fight. There was the sword that could cut through anything, and the sword that could perfectly replicate moves it had seen.

That with the enhanced system, Liam didn’t know it, but in that moment, he had also become one of the strongest people in Pagna.

Due to his comparison with Raze at all times, it was hard for him to grasp just how strong he was.

“Alright, I think it’s time for us to go,” Zon said.

Preparations were being made for the last week, and the tents were still set up where the battlefield had taken place.

This was because constant negotiations were going back and forth about how Raze’s proposal was going to be set up.

For one, the Crimson Crane needed a new base. They had decided to use the old base of Alter.

With it, they would be able to move to each of the areas as quick as possible if there were any problems.

All of the extra items that belonged to Alter were also handed to them in order for them to grow even more powerful.

It was almost as if the Crimson Crane had replaced Alter’s role but was out in the public doing their work.

Then, as Raze was resting inside one of the tents letting the long days go by, he had a little visit from Rayna.

“What brings you here?” Raze asked.

“I wanted to speak to you,” Rayna said as she sat down. “To iron out some details. You said you wanted the world to believe that the Dark Magus is in Pagna.

“There will only be a few people that will know the truth that you’re no longer in this world.”

“My name will be used as a sort of peace just like those from the Divine realm,” Raze replied back.

“Right, and as your wife, I will be the one closest to you, so I will be sure to spread that word far and wide.” Rayna then let out a big long sigh.

“Raze, I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for that time you saved me, and for this fake marriage. These times spent with you were quite fond memories that I will cherish.”

The voice of Rayna, she sounded quite sweet. She was surely filled with emotion, and he had heard the swift actions she had taken.

When looking after the town of Rylon, and when she had ordered the elimination of those in Alter.

That had helped them a long way.

“You saved my life back then with your quick thinking. I’m not sure your father would have let me live that early on,” Raze claimed. “It was a relationship that benefited us both ways, and I don’t think there could have been a better person for the task.”

Rayna’s face turned red, and when looking away, she had a question she wanted to ask.

“Raze…can we have a hug…like you did with Alba?”

Taken aback, Raze didn’t know what to say, especially since he hadn’t planned on Alba hugging her in the first place, but if this was all she was going to ask, and he was never going to see her again, he should at least grant this.

“Alright,” Raze said as he got up.

Slowly, Rayna went in, and the two of them embraced in a large hug, feeling each other’s warmth. Rayna could feel it, Raze’s heartbeat, beating ever so fast.

Even though it was a situation that made him anxious, he still did it in the end.

“RAZE! RAZE!” a voice shouted, and immediately Dame had entered the tent.

“What’s up with you two?” Dame asked as the two stepped away from each other and had turned around.

“Anyway, Raze, I wanted to ask you something, will you take me to Alterian?” Dame asked.
