The manor sat far removed from the city and the rest of the world. No distant sounds of fighting, no howling animals, just serene silence, letting them all sleep soundly and wake feeling more refreshed than they thought possible.By morning, one by one, they gathered downstairs, drawn by the rich smells coming from the kitchen, where several maids were already preparing breakfast.”Damn… this is bad,” Liam muttered as he took his seat at the long dining table.”What? Did something happen?” Safa asked immediately, her brows furrowed in concern. Her thoughts raced, had someone from Alter tracked them down? Was Liam’s body reacting to the new system he’d been given? There were countless things that could’ve gone wrong.”I think… I’m starting to like this world too much,” Liam groaned dramatically, flopping into his chair. The others blinked at him.”When I first came here, I was dead set on hating Alterian. I kept thinking, ‘Pagna’s way better, cooler.’ We use our fists, not silly magic. Magic is lame. I told myself all that, but now… who am I kidding?”He pointed toward the ceiling, then the plate of food in front of him.”Everything here is just so good! The comfort, the magic, the convenience… I can’t help it!”The others chuckled. As much as they might’ve wanted to disagree, they couldn’t. They’d walked through the capital city without trouble. No pickpockets. No beggars. The streets were clean, and the food had been delicious. They had expected the countryside to outshine the city somehow, to have at least one point in Pagna’s favor, but the truth was… Alterian was making a strong impression.”Remember,” Raze said, walking into the kitchen, “you’re all experiencing life in the top fifty percent. And in Alen’s case, he lives like the top ten percent.”Luxury. Comfort. Magic conveniences. It’s all an illusion. Yes, Alterian has more resources than Pagna, but the gap between the poor and the wealthy is still massive. It’s just better hidden here.”He paused, his voice turning more serious.”One day, I’ll show you what I mean.””Are you thinking of taking them to the Underland?” Aurora asked, stepping into the room with a raised brow. “That’s not exactly on my list of tourist attractions.””You’re right,” Alen agreed, “but as Raze said, if they want to see all sides of Alterian, it’s a place they must see eventually. Now then, once you’ve all finished eating, I’ve arranged for a vehicle to take you to the academy.”As they continued enjoying their breakfast, the conversation shifted to Alterian culture. They discussed the expectations, the subtle differences in social behavior compared to Pagna. The topic naturally flowed toward the mage academy and, more specifically, the assessment they’d be facing.According to Alen and Aurora, the assessment was different every time.”One time,” Alen recalled, “they had applicants destroy multiple objects as quickly as possible. Another year, they asked for the most powerful spell to be cast.””And once,” Aurora added, “the test was to survive for a set amount of time against one of the academy’s instructors.””Don’t worry,” Dame said with a grin. “Only Liam, Beatrix, and I need to figure something out. The rest of you will be fine.””Oh?” Alen said, glancing toward Safa. “The young woman can use magic as well? But isn’t she originally from Pagna? I was under the impression that those from Pagna were incapable of using magic. I must have been mistaken.””You’re not wrong,” Raze replied. “Safa is… an exception. She can use Light Magic, and she’s more than a little skilled with it.””Light Magic?” Alen said, his tone immediately shifting into a more cautious one. “Well, be careful not to show off too much. If you’re truly proficient, you’ll have guilds crawling after you. There aren’t many mages who can wield Light Magic, especially not at a high level.”Just as the conversation quieted, a vehicle pulled up outside. It was a flying bus, hovering slightly above the ground with magical engines humming beneath it. Alen and Aurora walked the group to the front, preparing to say their farewells.Aurora had finally returned home, and it was time for her to part ways with the others. As the vehicle rose into the air and began to carry the group toward their destination, Aurora stood watching, a soft sparkle in her eye.”It’s always hard saying goodbye,” she murmured. “They helped me so much in Pagna. Do you think… they’re going to be okay?”Alen stood beside her, his arms crossed as he looked toward the horizon.”In many ways, Ibrain is the true test,” he said. “If they can really go up against a Grand Magus… then maybe there’s hope.”But it’s not easy. What they’re attempting is near impossible. Right now, they’ve got the perfect opportunity. No one knows about Enaxx’s death, and they likely won’t for a while, given where it happened.”The real problem is what happens after Ibrain is taken out. There’ll be no hiding it then. The rest of the Grand Magus will be alerted, and they’ll be prepared.”Fighting one unprepared Grand Magus is already a stretch. But fighting several who know they’re being hunted, who control major parts of the world’s systems…” He shook his head. “That’s a wall so high I don’t even know if it can be climbed.”Aurora remained silent for a few seconds. But then, her lips curled into a quiet, confident smile.”I think if anyone can do it… it’s him.”Meanwhile, high above the landscape, the flying vehicle soared through the skies. Off in the distance, they could finally see it, the towering silhouette of a massive structure coming into view. They had arrived at one of the Mage Academies.****For updates on MWS, Dark Magus, and other future works, follow me on my social media below.Instagram: @jksmangaPatreon: patreon.com/jksmangaFor early access, announcements, and exclusive content, you’ll see it there first. Some had wondered how they had even received them in the middle of the night without waking up.They could only guess that it was some type of magic. They had been told what the items did and how they were used. One gift was clothing. They would be given a uniform as long as they were accepted into the academy, but approaching in the clothes they were in, they would be turned away at the door.Left for them was top-of-the-line clothing: straight blazers in an array of colours with jewels embedded into the clothing itself.Raze thought it was a bit over the top, but apparently, Alen didn’t have any other spare clothes around the house. However, Raze noticed that they were ordered in as one of his staff members was told to fetch them, so that couldn’t have been the whole truth. Then there were rings, one for each of them apart from Raze. These rings were small storage units. They had the same feature as Raze’s blazer. Instead of carrying around large items and bags on their backs, they could now store weapons in their rings.Mages, especially in academies, were quite confident in their teachers’ powers and skills. So they didn’t even check particular rings. Other than the attack from the Dark Magus, none of the academies could even remember when anyone was brave enough to attack or fight back. The only thing that had happened was some arguments between mages or some unruly students who didn’t trust the results given, but the teachers who were high-star mages were always able to solve the issue. Now, in their new clothes and with their items hidden, they stood in front of the academy itself. It was a grand building with spires and reminded many of them of the buildings in the Light Faction area.Only there was a level of detail of straightness and smoothness to the buildings that couldn’t be achieved by hand. The area stretched far left and right, and even the entrance was a giant arched hallway that led into the centre of the academy. The academy itself was more shaped like a rectangle with several buildings attached to it and a large field in the centre.”This is a mage academy…why does it feel so fancy?” Liam asked.”I guess this is what happens when you can just use magic to build all your buildings, right?” Dame asked.”Pagan warriors can build fairly quickly as well due to their strength,” Raze mentioned. “We all have our advantages.”While walking through the grand arched entrance, the group wondered just what was going to happen. There was no one there to meet them, no one there to greet them either.Eventually, this caused them to stop in the middle as they saw that there was no one there.”Should we wait outside?” Safa asked. “I feel like someone was meant to meet us. Alen has been so thorough with preparing everything. It just feels strange that we are allowed to just walk in.””You are right,” Dame replied. “Even at our academies, we have guards and teachers that would have stopped us. Why are things so relaxing here?”They looked to Raze for answers, but he was just smiling at them.”I am not alone on my journey anymore. It is not a decision I make by myself, so I will follow whatever you all decide to do.”They all felt like the answer coming from Raze was strange, but they decided to keep walking straight ahead until they could see someone and ask for help.If they saw no one, then they would just return and wait a while before continuing forward. They continued to walk and walk, and as they did, they noticed something.”That’s strange,” Beatrix said, rubbing her eyes. “We’re not getting any closer.””What do you mean? Our legs are moving, and that’s…” Liam paused for a moment as his system was giving him information. He could see the number of meters from where they were, and as he moved forward, he could feel his feet hitting the ground and him moving, but the distance was staying the same.”She’s right, we’re moving but we’re not moving. It’s like we’re staying still or the hall is getting longer. This is so confusing!”In that moment, Dame used his Qi as he kicked off from his feet and tried to charge forward. The others stayed still. They could see he was moving, but it almost appeared as if he was slipping back. He only moved a few steps before he returned to his original position. It was a strange sight for all of them to witness, and their brains were having a hard time grasping it.”We’re stuck here, we’re literally stuck in this hallway. We’ve been to like three places, and at every place we’ve been to, we keep getting into trouble.”Safa looked at Raze and could see a smile on his face, which told her quite a lot that she already knew.”You know what’s going on, right?” Safa asked.”I do,” Raze answered.”And you’re not planning to help us, right?” Safa asked.”I’m not,” Raze said. “This situation, it’s quite a classic method of testing new students that haven’t been here before. You all need to get used to fighting with a mage.”Although we have come across those in Pagna, they are fighting on the spot, unprepared, but most mages do not fight this way.”Just because one is stronger than the other doesn’t mean that they will always win, and this is a good example of that.”The others were a little annoyed that Raze had just let them go on the way they had been doing for a while and didn’t tell them anything, but they understood his reasoning.”So tell me, if we don’t know magic, how are we meant to get out of here, because my system isn’t giving me any hints?” Liam asked. He thought about it for a while. He did have his sword saved in his storage, the sword that could cut through anything, and there was a good chance that it could cut through this illusion as well.”Don’t do it,” Raze said. “Although I am confident that there is no one close by who can hear us, as these are usually separate spaces, who knows who is watching or who will be there when we leave.”Listening carefully, they knew that none of them should use their items or Qi, but what choice did that leave them with?Safa started to make note of the words that Raze used, and then it hit her. She used her god eyes, concentrating her magic in a particular area. Then, while focused, she could see it. Magic was swirling all around them in a separate space. It all pinpointed to one place on the wall. She walked forward towards it and pressed her hand against the area.”All of the magic is flowing from here, that’s how this space is kept up, and I can see a magic circle around it as well. If I just do this!” With her own light magic, she broke through and broke the magic circle. Then, like a glass mirror, the whole entire area around them shattered into pieces, breaking apart. The strange thing was, none of it looked any different. It all looked exactly the same as if they were in the same place.”What was that…are we still stuck?” Liam asked when he took the first step, and a few steps more, he could see the system updating itself.”It worked, whatever she did, it worked,” Liam said as he started to make his way forward. The rest followed slowly, far more cautious than Liam was.”You did a good job, Safa,” Raze said. “I think they will have to rely on you a bit more in the entire academy, but who knows, we have to see if they can all pass first, because I’m not too sure if they will be able to.”Eventually, they saw Liam slow down, and out on the grass field, there was a lone older man standing straight and tall in a light green blazer.”Greetings, Alen said I would be expecting guests, and I’m glad you were able to get out of that situation rather quickly,” the man said. “Otherwise, it would have been useless to have you join mid-term. Regardless, we shall proceed. Let’s see if you all have what it takes to join Wilton Magic Academy.”****For updates for MWS and future works, please follow me on my social media below.Instagram: Jksmanga*Patreon: jksmangaWhen news of MVS, MWS, or any other series comes out, you will be able to see it there first, and you can reach out to me. He wasn’t just any instructor, he was the mage responsible for setting up the little spell trap just outside the academy entrance. From the mana radiating off his body, Raze could tell immediately, this man was a Five-Star Mage.A five-star rating was no small feat. For most of the world, reaching that level was a huge accomplishment. In fact, to become a professor at a magic academy, star level wasn’t even a strict requirement. It was more about one’s understanding of magic, depth of knowledge, creativity, and control. And yet, this professor not only had the knowledge but also the raw magical power to back it up.’When Safa destroyed the circle earlier,’ Raze thought to himself, ‘I got a good look at it. The professor must have prepared that magic circle specifically timed for our arrival. But… he couldn’t guarantee that we’d be on time. What if a student had shown up late? Or someone else wandered through that entrance?”If an unsuspecting student passed through alone and didn’t have the skills to defend themselves, they could’ve been caught in the same trap we were. That means…’Raze’s thoughts were sharp and analytical.’He must have programmed the circle with precise conditions. To only activate if four individuals passed through within a certain window, one after the other. That level of restriction isn’t easy to design. Then again, in a private, secure academy like this, four random students walking in together at once is rare.’And if it had been a staff member? Someone from this academy would likely recognize the spell and pass through safely without setting it off. That just shows how tightly run this academy is. They know what they’re doing.’Raze had once been a professor at the Central Mage Academy, widely considered the most elite school for mages. At times, he’d viewed the other academies in a slightly condescending light, believing they weren’t up to standard. But after this first encounter, his opinion had already begun to shift.”My name is Luka Heartstrong,” the man finally introduced himself, his voice firm. “I’m one of three battle professors here at the academy. And today, I’ll be overseeing your assessment. For now, follow me.”The group exchanged uncertain glances. It was difficult to communicate openly with each other in this setting. None of them knew what the others were thinking, and no one was sure what to expect next. For the moment, they just followed the professor. They walked across a grassy section of the academy grounds. As Professor Luka stepped onto the field, something strange happened. The grass beneath his feet shifted, revealing a circular patch of dirt. It followed him, like a spotlight moving with each step. The others watched closely, unsure if it was the ground itself reacting, or something the professor was doing. When they stepped onto the grass themselves, nothing happened.’He’s showing off,’ Raze thought. ‘But I can’t really blame him. Teachers love showing off to new students. It’s probably fun for them.’Raze reflected more on the reality of the academy.’Most students entering a place like this wouldn’t even be at the Three-Star level. Sure, there are exceptions. And by the end of their training, some will reach Six-Star, maybe even Seven. But only one in a million ever reaches the Eighth Star. And as for the Ninth… even rarer.’As they walked, their presence began to attract attention. It was early in the school day, and classes had just started. Students sitting by the windows took notice of the group being led across the field.”Is that Professor Luka out there?””Looks like he’s giving some kind of tour.””No way. Luka never gives tours. He’s either teaching or doing evaluations.””So maybe it is an assessment?””In the middle of term? That’s unusual. I could see one transfer student maybe, but five at once? That’s definitely not normal.”Curiosity spread quickly across the campus as more students turned their heads to watch what was happening outside.Eventually, Professor Luka came to a stop in the center of the field. The grass receded even further until they stood in a wide, perfectly circular patch of dirt. Only the outer edges of the green remained.”This may not be the Central Academy,” Luka said, addressing them clearly now, “but the Wilton Magic Academy is still among the top in the nation. We take pride in the students we accept.”So regardless of the high recommendation that brought you here, we do not accept anyone who fails to meet our standards.”Beatrix and Liam exchanged nervous glances. Of all the newcomers, they seemed the most tense. Dame, on the other hand, despite having no grasp of magic, stood calm and collected, as if nothing fazed him.”All of you will go through a series of tests,” Luka continued. “You are to complete them to the best of your ability, demonstrating the full extent of your magical capabilities. Use everything you’ve got.””When the tests are complete,” he added, “I will inform you of those who have passed… and those who have failed.”With a stomp of his foot, the earth beneath them rumbled. A golem rose from the ground, roughly the size of an average adult male, made entirely of dirt. It lacked any fine details, just a humanoid figure shaped from packed soil. Then, ten meters behind the first, another golem appeared. Then another. And another, until it eventually stopped.By the time it was over, six golems stood in a straight line, spaced ten meters apart from one another, stretching sixty meters across the field.”Step forward one at a time,” Luka commanded. “Declare your magic core type, and then use your abilities to destroy as many golems as you can.”*****For updates on Dark Magus, MWS, MVS, and future works:Instagram: [jksmanga]*Patreon: [jksmanga]Follow to get early news and exclusive updates. I try to respond to messages when I can!Report chapter CommentsThe Pagna warriors were starting to feel the pressure settle deep in their bones. They had known this was coming, they’d talked about it. That at some point, they would have to pretend to use magic for the assessment. But knowing it was coming and being prepared were two very different things.None of them had actually worked out a plan.It wasn’t like Raze could just snap his fingers and teach them magic overnight. For this test… they were on their own.”Alright, you, the big one! You look confident. Step up first!” Professor Luka called out, his voice carrying across the open field.Out of all the people he could’ve picked… it was Dame who stepped forward.”Ah, crap,” Liam whispered, eyes wide. “Wouldn’t it have been better if they picked Raze first?””I don’t know… maybe it’s a good thing,” Beatrix replied. “I mean, look how confident he is. If he pulls it off, maybe we can all just follow his lead.”Inside the classrooms nearby, students pressed their faces to the windows, watching with curiosity. Whenever new mages arrived, there was always the hope, maybe this one would be different. Maybe someone with a special kind of magic would show up and shake things up.”I wonder what kind of magic he’ll use.””Yeah, I hope it’s something unique. There are so many wind magic specialists lately. It’s getting kinda boring.”Out on the field, Dame stood strong and still. His eyes stared directly ahead.”State your magic core!” Luka demanded.”My magic core…” Dame shouted back. “Is wind magic!”Dame clenched his fists, hard. He began to gather Qi into his body. The shift in energy was subtle, but those sensitive enough could feel the hum of power building up.His gauntlets allowed him to channel Qi blasts, something only Divine Realm warriors were capable of. But in this situation, he couldn’t use those. He’d have to rely purely on the raw force of his own body. There would be no finesse. No technique. Just one solid punch.”Qiiiii!” Dame shouted, and the rest of the group instinctively slapped their foreheads in unison.”Wind… Windy… Windy Qiiii!”And with that declaration, Dame’s fist launched forward, smashing through the air. The impact created a powerful shockwave that erupted directly in front of him.The first golem shattered instantly. The second one crumbled under the force, while the third cracked in half, chunks of dirt collapsing to the ground.Dame froze for a moment, his eyes flickering toward Luka, hoping for some sort of reaction. Anything. The professor’s face remained unreadable.Inside the school building, the students were murmuring to each other, some leaning out of their open windows to hear better.”‘Windy Qi’? What kind of spell is that? I’ve never heard of anything like it.””To be fair, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spell do that either. It didn’t slice or cut like normal wind magic, it obliteratedthose golems.””Right? I wonder how it would hold up in an actual fight… Did he create that spell himself?”Their curiosity was piqued. While most couldn’t tell what had really happened, Raze could.Qi was difficult for mages to detect, it lived inside the body, unlike mana or elemental magic, which radiated externally. Unless a person used visible Qi, most mages wouldn’t even notice it.But Raze could. And Dame had done a solid job selling it, passing off his Qi as a raw, destructive form of wind magic. It was clever. And more importantly, convincing.’If that performance were evaluated by the Central Academy,’ Raze thought, ‘it would be enough to get him through the entrance gates.’”Next one… You, come forward,” Luka said, pointing now at Beatrix.”M-me?” she stammered, eyes wide. She shuffled forward nervously.Of all of them, Beatrix felt the most anxious. Fear clung to her like a second skin. What if she failed? What if they told her she wasn’t good enough to enter the academy? What would she even do then?”Begin!” Luka barked, slamming his foot on the ground. The six golems reformed in their exact positions from before.”Uhh… wind core!” Beatrix shouted, mirroring Dame’s earlier declaration. She took the same stance. Qi gathered in her fists, her hands trembling slightly as she focused all of her energy into the next moment.”Qiiii… Windy… Qiii!” she yelled, almost identically to how Dame had.Her fist crashed forward, and the shockwave tore across the ground. The first golem shattered, then the second, then the third was completely destroyed. A large chunk of the fourth one crumbled apart as well.Dame blinked, stunned.”Her strike was stronger than mine?” he muttered to himself. He wasn’t using his full power, of course, but still. He hadn’t expected that. The others didn’t know what had happened to Beatrix recently. Not entirely. But even she had held back just a little.Professor Luka looked at her carefully. His expression was harder to read now, there was a trace of disappointment… but also curiosity.”Umm… we’re from the same family,” Beatrix blurted out nervously. “Me and Dame, I mean. So we know the same spells. He’s my brother. I just wanted to beat him in this test at least… I hope that’s okay.”She bowed politely and stepped back.Surprisingly, Raze thought that was a pretty clever way to sell it. It made enough sense that the professor wouldn’t push further. But then… trouble began to stir.”Next person,” Luka said, his gaze scanning the group before locking on a specific target. “You. The one with the eyepatch. You’ve been making faces and whispering non-stop, so I’m expecting something from you.”Liam stiffened. Slowly, he walked forward, his steps deliberate. As he took position, the golems once again rose from the earth.’Judging by the professor’s face,’ Liam thought, ‘my system tells me he was impressed with the last two. So if I do something similar, I should be fine, right?’Luka crossed his arms, watching him closely.”Alright,” he said, narrowing his eyes. “Show me what you’ve got. And it better not be another… ‘Windy Qi.’”****For updates on MWS, Dark Magus, MVS, and other future works:Instagram: [jksmanga]*Patreon: [jksmanga]Follow to get first announcements and exclusive early updates. I try to reply to messages when I can!Report chapter CommentsLiam had a plan. A simple one.He was going to copy exactly what Dame and Beatrix had done. The “Windy Qi” punch had worked for them, it shattered golems and seemed to satisfy the professor. It was silly, sure, but it got the job done.So if it worked for them… why wouldn’t it work for him? Then, just as he stepped forward, he heard the dreaded words. The professor, stern and sharp, warned him not to do the same move. One sibling pair using a similar technique was believable. But five students, all claiming wind magic and using identical techniques? That would raise too many red flags.None of them even looked related. Luka had let it slide before, but clearly, he wouldn’t again.’I can see it on his face,’ Liam thought nervously. ‘And my system confirms it, if I try to do the same move, he’s going to fail me on the spot.’”What’s wrong?” Luka asked, eyes narrowing. “The targets have already risen. State your magic core and proceed to take them down.”Liam swallowed hard. His mouth had gone dry. Instinctively, he glanced to the others, hoping for a sign, some hint of help… but almost all of them avoided his gaze. Everyone except Raze looked away.’You damn traitors. Did none of you ever consider me a friend? Leaving me to crash and burn like this? I’ve been set up!’Grasping at straws, Liam forced out a response.”Err… Wind Core!” he declared loudly, trying to sound confident. “But… Professor Heartstrong, if I may… this test is to measure our combat strength, correct?””That’s right,” Luka replied. “I expect you to display a spell capable of taking down as many golems as you can.””In that case… would it be acceptable for me to use a weapon? A sword, perhaps?”There was a flicker of interest in Luka’s expression. Most mages relied on spells and enchanted items, but there was a rare type of fighter, magic swordsmen, who blended the two disciplines.”I see,” Luka said slowly. “So you’re a magic swordsman, then? I suppose you’re right. In that case, it would be more appropriate to judge your magical combat ability through weapon usage. Proceed.”Liam exhaled in relief. If the professor had said no, he would’ve had no backup plan.”Is he… going to be okay?” Beatrix whispered, concerned. “Liam can’t really use magic. So how’s he going to trick them with a sword? Won’t they notice if it’s just Qi?”Unlike a direct Qi blast from a fist, where you could pour energy into one point and release it outward, a Qi-infused sword slash was far trickier to disguise, especially from a distance. Even for Liam, it wasn’t easy. At best, he might be able to cut down two of the golems. And that wouldn’t be enough to pass.”Don’t worry about him,” Safa said with confidence. “Liam’s got a few tricks up his sleeve now.”Stretching out his hand, Liam activated his ring. A soft glow emitted from the artifact, and in an instant, a strange weapon materialized in his grasp. It wasn’t a regular sword. The blade was large, circular in nature, with two glowing rings built into its core, forming a bladed edge on either side. It was the weapon he’d obtained during one of their missions against the Altereds.”Right… that sword,” Dame said, recognizing it. “He might actually be okay after all.”From the windows above, the watching students buzzed with excitement.”He’s using a sword? So he’s a magic swordsman?””Yeah, looks like it. There are only, like, three in the whole academy, right?””It’s rare. Most people who try it give up once they meet the real magic swordsmen here. There were a few posers early on, but none of them lasted.””Well, let’s hope this guy’s the real deal, then.”Liam held the blade tight and began to think. He didn’t have full mastery of the sword yet. The artifact could only replicate strikes it had already seen. That was the key. And unfortunately, most sword techniques he’d encountered were fueled by Qi alone.Maybe… if he could find one that looked magical, one that had a visual flair, he could pull it off.One move, however, was off-limits.He couldn’t use the Dark Edge sword art. If any hint of dark magic showed up, he’d be exposed. He’d be cast out of the academy before he could blink.”That leaves only one option,” Liam muttered under his breath. He shifted his stance and pulled the sword back, way back, almost like he was about to throw it like a javelin. Then he swung.”Crimson Slash!”A red streak tore across the ground. It shot forward in a straight line, slicing through the first golem cleanly. The second shattered in a blink. Then the third, fourth, fifth, and finally, the sixth crumbled under the force. The crimson energy didn’t stop there. It surged forward until it finally vanished into the air.The field fell silent.Professor Luka, as usual, showed no outward emotion. But Liam could hear the response loud and clear, from the classrooms.”WHOA! Did you see that?! He destroyed all six of them!””No way! That had to be at least a Four-Star spell!””Seriously, that wasn’t just wind magic… That was devastating!”What the others didn’t know, but what Raze did, was that Liam had copied the move directly from him. The “Crimson Slash” was Raze’s signature technique, one he’d used countless times during the war. A blend of Qi and wind magic, it mimicked a projectile attack, sharp and clean.Because the sword recorded every movement, every detail, down to the magical energy used, it had recreated the effect perfectly.Even Luka, as composed as he was, could sense the mana in the attack.”Return to your position,” Luka said at last, with the faintest nod of approval.Liam smirked as he walked back.He didn’t need to hear it. He could see it in Luka’s expression, he had passed.”Next up… the final participant,” Luka announced, turning his gaze to the last one standing. All eyes now turned to Safa.It was her turn.****For updates on Dark Magus, MWS, MVS, and future works:Instagram: [jksmanga]Patreon: [jksmanga]Be the first to hear about new chapters and series!
